Since 1991 Charleston Bay Gourmet has fulfilled Charleston event catering needs with innovative culinary experiences. Founded by the late John G. Thornhill and partners including the current owner Irving Peters, they have blended their native Lowcountry roots with years of culinary expertise resulting in an upscale Lowcountry flavor that will give your event the one ingredient it needs to make it extraordinary. Pricing for all events is based on menu items as well as number of guests, venue, times, and staffing requirements. We do not list prices on our menu because each party is unique and there are many factors that are involved in putting together a complete proposal with pricing. Charleston Bay Gourmet does not handle rental items.

We serve local clusters from Bulls Bay in McClellanville, South Carolina for all oyster roasts unless they are unavailable, or customers request something different. Our standard recommendation for the quantity of bushels to purchase for a roast based on a 10:1 ratio (people to bushels) and if you think that it is going to be a heavy oyster eating crowd we suggest using an 8:1 ratio.
