John Zazzara gets a kiss from granddaughter Teresa in exchange for a piece of candy! Notice the vintage wooden IB crates to the left and the hand-poured terrazzo floor still prominent today. A great shot, and the earliest picture that we have on record showing the Mazza horse & wagon team ready to head out on deliveries.

Cool road trip stop! Freshly made coffee, bagel sandwiches, fruit and baked goods for the road, and a craft beer fridge for some nice brews to enjoy at the destination hotel! Service was great, very friendly. I noted the sign for $5 pints 4-6 PM. If I ever find myself in Ithaca again I'm sure I would find myself here again!

Sweet or savory, the Ithaca Bakery has you covered. With a broad range of delicious sandwiches, grilled or not, filled with fresh ingredients; you will not be disappointed. Vegetarian and gluten free options are available. Grab a sweet treat to finish off your meal or just to satisfy your cravings, it is all so good.

How can anyone not love this bakery? It is so unique because it's not only a bakery and cafe, but they serve alcohol too (they even do happy hour from 4-6). The food is always fresh and delicious. They have daily specials. They're baked goods are very good, as well. They are a lot of drink options: tea, coffee, cocoa, and smoothies. They have local wines, ciders, and beers. They have indoor and outdoor seating (including little greenhouses with picnic tables). They sell cool merchandise.

I usually come here to their sandwiches; mainly the Milanese. It's sooo good and you can get it over gluten free bread. We also got the New Yorker; the roasted beef is great and it's so good. My friend got the veggie burger and loved it. I honestly feel sad saying this but I'm not a big fan of their desserts. We got a custom birthday cake for our son from here and it was perfect on the outside but didn't taste all that.
The art was great but the taste was.ok. We got a variety of desserts and unfortunately we didn't like anything. The only thing that was ok was the pecan pie. Overall clean and organized. The place offers great variety of desserts and sandwiches. I prefer to go for savory items rather than sweets.

I adore Ithaca Bakery, but the Triphammer location has some issues they need to iron out. Inconsistent customer service and lack of quality. When you approach that there is something wrong with the order in a friendly manner, they get very frustrated with you. I will keep coming back with Ithaca Bakery, but this is frustrating. I'll probably drive to the downtown location to be honest.

Ithaca Bakery is simply a local staple. My office gets delivery from here often. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Tuscan. Their delivery is always super prompt and helpful. One day when I was already downtown I thought I would stop in the store and grab a quick bagel sandwich. It took way longer than I expected. Next time I will definitely order ahead or get delivery. Thankfully once it came out it was absolutely delish!
Perfect ratios of egg, cheese, bagel and bacon. The ordering process was a little unusual. You order in one location, then pay in another, and then pick up in another. It seems a little inefficient, and nobody really knew how to follow along. Why not pay when you order? The parking was less than ideal at the meadow street location. Very crowded. Thankfully I have a small car.
I was really surprised to see that they have wine and beer at the meadow street location. Who knew a bakery had a bar?! They have so much food to choose from. Definitely a place to go in downtown Ithaca! (If you can get a place to park!)

Love it here! Worth the money and the wait! Fresh, made to order deliciousness and friendly service! You can order take out in person, on the phone, or online, and curbside pickup is also available, as is dine in. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing and they use high quality ingredients! If you're in the mood for something sweet, they have a great selection of treats, full size and individual size, too. Parking can be tough, but again, worth it. Remember to be patient and kind. The folks there show up and work hard to give us fresh, yummy food!

"Bakery" undersells this place: it has a huge selection of sandwiches, bagels, pastries, coffee, smoothies, and more. It's fully a brunch restaurant, save for the structure (order at the counter, no table service). The food is quite good, especially their famous bread. Can be very busy since it's popular, but food comes fast accounting for that. Check it out!

I don't know how they got a health score of 98, because I left with my food feeling grossed out. First of all, this guy working in the kitchen maskless, talking chatting laughing while making my food. I don't even want to know how much spit got into my food. Second of all, same guy, scratching his head with food gloves and then touched his chest, then went back to make food.
Like please at least change your gloves! Most of the kitchen staffs don't wear a mask at all. Like I know the mask mandate is not there anymore, but please, if you are making someone's food, please wear a mask regardless of Covid. Because spit does get into food. I worked in food catering before Covid, and I was always told to wear a mask and to change gloves after touching things. And I don't know how I feel about this. But the menu item price keeps going up, but the quantity keeps going down. Like please stop increasing prices for everything

Excellent quality! Due to their fabulousness, they can get pretty busy at lunch time, but it is well worth the wait. Many vegetarian options as well as traditional deli fare. Their baked goods - all of them - are top notch. My latest taste sensations were the Michigan Hollow and the Anne of Danby sandwiches. I would highly recommend either of these! I can't wait to go back and try out more of their menu. They have a fabulous service ethic to boot!

Waited about 20 minutes after ordering for a microwaved egg sandwich called a Brooklyn. Very surprised they don't cook their eggs and instead use pre-made eggs heated up in a microwave. Paid over $10 for the egg sandwich and an OJ. It was overpriced, but it didn't taste bad for a microwaved egg sandwich.

I think it's one of the best bakeries that I've ever visited. The pastries and sandwiches are amazing. The apple puffs and chocolate croissants are delicious. We discovered this place only on the second day of our stay and we ended up eating breakfast our remaining trip and even picked up our dinner/lunches from this place. We also bought a lot of pastries for our trip back home. They sell a lot of local food products and it's all reasonably priced. The food on the other hand is a little pricey but definitely worth it.

Love everything I've had from here which includes cheesecake, pumpkin bar, red velvet cake (seriously the best I've ever had), and their paninis! It's a chill spot for studying too, expect theres a shortage of plugs so have a fully charged battery if you plan to work from a computer. I also really love their weekly happy hour specials. It's definitely an Ithaca treasure!

How do you spell customer service? You don't, not here! Either you can wait in front of a cake showcase for quite a while and the staff never bothered to ask why are you here and how can I help you. After I asked for help, I was told in the patronizing way that I should've ordered at the register. Wow, I am not very smart. Thank you Ithaca bakery for doing me a favor and selling me a product. You would've never lasted a day in New York City or any other place that understands what customer service means. Guess it's ok for Ithaca.

Cute place with lots of options. We enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches (sunrise, lox on pumpernickel, and tofu in a tomato wrap). The hot chocolate was not too sweet, but took quite a while to be served as a barista makes it. Oatmeal raisin cookie was good, and vegan blueberry lemon poppy scone was not bad. They also have soups and a salad bar. Just make sure you watch the time because the line can get very long.

I had the Octopus sandwich and it was delicious. I also had a beagle for breakfast. I would definitely recommend the Octopus - turkey, coleslaw, and Russian dressing is yummy. I could eat this every day. The prices are reasonable. I also had a strawberry banana smoothie with almond milk base. I would highly recommend everything.

I have always enjoyed going to Ithaca Bakery. Not only are the baked goods top notch, the wide selection of sandwiches are delicious. The coffee is great and there are always huge selections of drinks to try, even build your own smoothies. The service is fast and friendly, and there are almost always free samples to try.

We've tried this place a number of times.but unfortunately it always is a meh experience. There isn't many places close by to where we visit, so we always think let's give it another try. We ordered vegetable barley soup and a salad. The soup was hot and thats about it.not a great flavor profile or a lot of veggies in the soup. The amount of greens they give in a salad should be posted as a side salad and the greens were a bit limp.
One person in our group tried a luncheon meat and cheese sandwich and their layered pumpkin bar.we had a small taste of the pumpkin bar and that was enjoyable. The sandwich was lackluster too the other diner mentioned. I hope we don't go back again out of necessity.just a waste of money.
