Brass Door Restaurants famous pork chops started in 1982 when then owner Don Davidsmeyer wanted to increase business at the small town restaurant he had purchased a few years earlier. He also wanted to utilize the family style dining concept which he had seen as successful at other restaurants across the country.

Go North on Hwy 67. You will pass through the town of Jerseyville. The next town is Carrollton. When you come into town, you will drive until you reach the south side of the Square at the intersection of Hwy 67 and S. Main St. Go left onto S. Main. St. The Brass Door is on the South side of the Square at 527 S. Main St.
