This place is a HUGE SCAM! Booked a party before the pandemic. I contacted them in feb to confirm if the party would still be able to happen. They told me they were closed and was not sure if they were going to be able to hold my party. They told me they would contact me in April to let me know the status which they never did. They never reached out again to let us know if the party was still on since we moved the party they do not want to give a refund of the deposit I left.
I never heard of a place that wouldn't call their clients to let them know the status of their business being open or closed for events. Called them so many times left messages and took them weeeks to respond back only to let us know we couldn't get our deposit back. As you can see from the previous review they are doing this to many people. Save your money and stay away!

It is a very wonderful experience when you enter the building. The catering hall resembles that of a small miniature Castle or a small hotel that welcomes you with open arms and with great benefit. The food warms the soul especially with events like the gotv breakfast that a friend of ours always holds every year. The San Carlo has a bit of charm that makes you feel like you are as important as any other person in the world.
The San Carlo and it's wonderful employees speak profoundly to the soul of the person and whenever you want something or whenever an event you want to set up, it is there for you and waiting for you! That's how beautiful the San Carlo restaurant and catering hall is. A catering hall in the heart of Lyndhurst New Jersey, is a vitally important part of everyone's life no matter where you are from the world. And no matter where you're from in any part of New York City, San Carlo says buono giorno, welcome, we're glad you're here!

As a party planner my self, I felt completely taken care of and that the staff knew exactly what they were doing and the event went incredibly smoothly. They had amazing staff, and were incredibly accommodating. Lori, Paula and bartender Ezio made the party absolutely perfect! Would definitely recommend this place for your next event!
