We have been serving homemade Italian recipes in the South Suburbs of Chicago since 1966 when Sam Scrementi opened The Red Lion. In 2006, the torch was passed to Steve, David, and Sam Jr., who expanded the business into fine dining, banquets, and off-site catering while preserving family traditions. We prepare all food fresh daily in our kitchen, including homemade soups, pastas, and sauces. Our specialty dishes include Ravioli, Gnocchi, La Trippa, Italian Giblets, Chippino Italian Stew, and Veal Chops. We offer cozy fireside seating in our dining room and a fully stocked bar with an extensive wine list and specialty martinis. Our banquet facility accommodates up to 125 guests with a dance floor, specializing in small weddings and events.

They catered a wedding we went to and the food was amazing! Every single item was delicious. I really enjoyed the beef tips with mushrooms and peppers. We will definitely go to this restaurant in the future!

I don't know how Steve Scrementi does it but all employees make you feel like you're part of the family. Food is very good, the service is outstanding. Great place to go on a date or with your family

The food was authentic Italian I'm told, so I am not sure if my taste for a creamier alfredo sauce is a strike against the place. The atmosphere and service is professional and friendly. The decor is old world Italian with family pictures on the walls that lends itself to the environment.

We had a small family gathering to celebrate my grandson's Confirmation. We love this restaurant. Service was superb. Food was incredible. We each ordered what we wanted. Great portions. We loved the leftovers. Food was outstanding. Reasonably priced.
