If you are from NY it's a must the only deli down here that's worth a damn, and the cake/cupcakes are probably the best in florida!

It's good it's just overpriced soup and sandwiches but what can you do it's bidda bong bidda boom type deal too but pretty good and better than Panera

Very nice clean deli. Not sure what all the hype is about. There's nothing to complain about just saying it's ok.

This is the ultimate lunch place. I do wish they had more salad options. The sandwiches are insanely good. The deli salads are awesome. It's a really clean and unique establishment. Love it here and will be going for lunch on the regular.

Lemon cake. First had this cake about 5 years ago visiting my brother in Tampa. This cake has traveled to WA several years in a row. We recently moved to UT where it currently sits. I had to stop and write a review on the 3 states I've enjoyed this delicious lemon cake after my first bite because it's THAT great and consistent moist first bite that makes it a destination cake in Tampa. and for those visiting you from there. My brother thinks the Bucs are the best, but I'd rather have a piece of this lemon cake than a Bucs jersey any visit, any year. Thanks

Simply the best! Incredibly consistent products and super friendly service. Clean facility. A South Tampa institution. Everything, even the iced tea is perfect!

This was my very first time visiting Wrights! And boy was it INCREDIBLE! I cannot recommend this place enough. It's HUGE and be prepared to stand in line to order. The entire time I was here the line didn't stop. You stand in a line to place your order, they take your name and phone number and text you when your food is ready. Very organized concept.

They have different pickup stations and your text tells you where to go. I ordered the California Ruben which is turkey breast and coleslaw with thousand island dressing on rye bread (I subbed for pumpernickel) and grilled. OMGOSH this sandwich is delicious! And HUGE! Plenty of seating available with a few tables outside. Staff is very friendly. Disclaimer: I don't recommend the flavored tea.

They are either bitter or no flavor. I tried the mango, the raspberry and the orange spice. Mango had no flavor, raspberry tasted like I was drinking flowers and the orange was too spicy.

While on vacay in Treasure Island/Sunset Beach, FL. I was told I had to eat at Wrights. This gourmet sandwich house has been a staple in the area for decades. They have updated/remodeled the restaurant through the years and the result is a clean, modern and inviting environment to dine in. I ordered the hot pastrami on pumpernickel bread and potato salad.

It was outstanding! The pastrami was perfectly cooked and tender. The potato salad was very good as well. Everything is prepared to order and they get the food out fast. If you have a sweet tooth, they got you covered with multiple offerings. The staff are super friendly and helpful with your choices. Worth the drive.

Hands down the best sandwich ever! Such amazing options and quality ingredients. You can tell that they make all of their food with love and have for years and years.

A Tampa institution, Wright's has been around a very long time. A great and tasty selection of sandwiches and desserts. Buy delicious desserts by the piece or buy an entire pie or cake. A bit pricey but worth it. It has changed a lot since I worked South Tampa 25 years ago but the food is still awesome. Give it a try sometime when your in the area. I got a ham and cheese, simple but good.

I have heard so much about this place and I was so glad I got the chance to give it a try. I ordered the turkey sandwich on pumpernickel with a side of the pesto pasta salad. My husband ordered the New Yorker with a side of coleslaw. The order process was very easy and we were able to get our seats and they texted us when the order was ready. Very efficient process.

The dining room was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The sandwiches were Amazing. They were more than enough and we really had no need to order sides. The bread was fresh and it had the perfect amount of meat. My husband Loved his sandwich as well. The coleslaw is truly a side that is up to the individuals. we weren't impressed with the coleslaw or the pesto pasta salad. I would come again because I loved the sandwiches and I also never tried the desserts! They looked so good.

Great salads. Super busy and popular deli. Soups are good. Sandwiches are fine. Huge dining area. Not easy to park in rush hour. Service is efficient and barely polite.

Sandwiches were huge and delicious! Cakes looked amazing, but did not have any of them. The cupcakes were unbelievable!

This joint is old school and a Tampa classic. You cannot come to the area and not go here. Tried most of the classic sandwiches and you'll never go wrong with the Reuben.

Wright's is one of my favorite local bakeries in Tampa. The sandwiches, salads, and deserts are all excellent. There's tons of indoor seating and separate rooms for meetings.

I want to say is this place is " AWESOME ". The people in this establishment are very hardworking people. This place is so clean and the food is impeccable. I had a Monte Cristo sandwich for the first time in my life, it was " DELICIOUS ". my first visit there was awesome. I had the best time there. I was seeing my aunt for lunch there, she flew in from atlanta, she recommended this place to me.

It was the best ever! I will be coming back with my kids. Thank you for a great lunch. I will be returning and will be recommending this establishment to all my friends in the near future. Thank you wrights, for a great day!

First, the gal that took our order was extremely patient and informative on helping us decide from the large assortment of sandwiches. We decided on a Reuben and roast beef to split and share for the two of us. Was salivating reading reviews, but not overwhelmed when we saw the sandwiches. I'm from NY, and these were not large overstuffed as some described.

We both thought the meat amount was okay but not impressive. They have their own mustard which may be good but we could barely taste it on the roast beef (I actually love deli / spicy brown on rb but they don't offer it). Have had tastier Reubens, the bread was actually dry (maybe rye would have been better?). Roast beef had a good taste, enhanced with Cole slaw we added. Came because of yelp reviews, may give another try in future, maybe an off day today. Place is very clean.

First time here today. What a great place. Biggest deli/bakery I've seen. Very clean and nice atmosphere. I had the club sandwich which was amazing. Tons of meat, great bread and a nice smokey flavor from the ham. Took home a piece of lemon cake too. Really good. We'll definitely be back to go through the menu and try all the cakes. Update 2/5/22, still the best. Had the ham and cheese. Razor thin ham just slightly sweet with Jarlsberg cheese and spicy mustard on pumpernickel. Just perfect!

I am always excited when I get a chance to eat anything from Wright's! This is one of your must haves when in and around Tampa! Everything was excellent, but the cookie & cake slice we got were magical. Do yourself a favor & go to Wright's. Eat a sandwich & some cake. You won't be mad about it. The missus & I decided to give Wrights Deli a try & we were both glad we did. It's set up like a Panera in the way that you order & get your food, but it blows Panera away.

The sandwiches are fantastic. We had a Rueben & a special sandwich named the continental that had their roast beef on it. Both were great. Wrights cooks some of their meats in-house & it shows. We also had some beef minestrone & some baked goods.

I have been fortunate enough to enjoy the delicious food here for 25 years. We ordered a large sheet cake for a special occasion. It was the most beautiful, delicious cake any of us ever had. We also ordered lunch to go. I honestly think the food has gotten better, if that's even possible! You can not go wrong with anything you get here. I highly recommend Wright's. This sandwich was absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed it. My coworkers wanted us to go, and at first I didn't care to. How good can a sandwich be? Well, I'm here to tell you it's great. If you're in the area stop by!

I'm not sure what this place was like in 1963 when they opened, or even 10 years ago but it's now a well oiled machine. Order at the designated register, they text you what window to pick up your sandwich when it's ready. Although the feel of this being a local sandwich shop might have changed, I assure you that the sandwiches are top notch. Obviously the Cuban (you can get pressed or not) is great, but honestly the Beef Martini became my go to.

Sure it's on white bread (still good though) but with a garlic & herb spread, beef, bacon, and mushrooms. You'll see locals picking up their phones in orders as well as small tour vans stopping in. Your van or on your own, make sure to be one of the people that comes and tries this place out.

This place is great. When we still came in to work in the office, my coworkers would cross the bridge from St Pete to Tampa to specifically get the Wright's peanut butter chocolate cake for our team birthdays. It was so decadent and delicious- definitely a huge highlight of birthday lunches back then. I typically don't make my way to this part of town but I met some coworkers for lunch on Kennedy.

I got some work done for a few hours and stopped at Wrights for a slice of cake to take home. I went for the hummingbird slice to try something new. I always hear how crazy this place gets for lunch so I decided to also take advantage of trying a sandwich from their deli as well. There was no "walk in" line, but a bit of a wait for mobile order. Since I am expecting a baby soon, I always have second thoughts about ordering deli meat since it is not recommended for moms to be.

After scrolling through some awesome pictures of the menu, I just couldn't resist. I made it all this way and it was just in time for an early dinner lol. My cashier was the best- she helped me pick the Monte Cristo sandwich. I must've kept asking about getting it "piping hot" / toasted a lot because she reassured me twice that she would request that for me.

The sandwiches took a while to grill but I didn't mind- my order came out about 10 minutes later. The sandwich was very hot and toasty. I was very impressed. I sat at a table and finished half of my sandwich. It fulfilled all my deli cravings and wasn't too heavy. Got home and tried the hummingbird slice which was moist and not too sweet.

They do cakes well here and I am a fan. I was really happy with my visit but the food is pretty pricey. The quality is good but $13 is a big tag for a sandwich. I don't think I'd drive out of my way to come all the time but will definitely make an occasional trip for a nice treat :

Awesome deli spot. I got a $13.50 reuben and a $2.50 pesto pasta salad. The reuben tasted really good. It's not the thickest, but the taste is on point. The pesto pasta salad order is so small it's like 2 bites and you're finished. The restaurant is yuuuuuge with a lot of desserts and sandwiches to pick from. I'll be back soon!

With all the attention "Champa Bay" has gotten lately, a local champ since 1963 here. I guess you can leave the review at, if you're from Tampa, you should know this place. Sandwiches.soups.cakes. I've lived here more than 30 years I don't think I'll be able to make it though the large menu. Might try though, although we all have our favorites. Catering available.you might of had their food and not have known it with the number of times I've seen the familiar servings at parties or meetings.

Call in orders available, I'm sure food delivery through ride apps. Not sure how long ago the expansion was, but much easier to visit these days with the added parking and seating. Lots of staff to take orders. Food comes out fresh and fast. I like the soups of the day. My tomato soup was on the thicker side, but flavored just right. Perfect for a Florida winter morning of low 70s. Paired perfectly with my favorite sandwich.

The Golden Gate. Roast pork.bacon. Jarlsberg cheese, on fluffy fresh pumpernickel bread.best part is the peach chutney. Lunch hack, dip that sandwich in the soup if you haven't already. Got my food to go and enjoyed it at a local park. Friendly, helpful service. Impeccably clean. Check out the menu. Betting that most people will find something that catches their eye. I can make sandwiches at home, but not like this.

I love Wrights. The sandwiches are so fresh, good and visually appealing. I always get the Club. Sometimes the BLT. Cakes are good. I wish they would do the coconut cake again. Very nice staff working there. 12/02/21 - I went to Wrights again and guess what. They have Coconut Cake. Yummy. I got 2. What can I say. I'm a greedy Cake monster.

This place was great. You know when there is a line staking all the way to the door, it must be really good. The wait to order was worth it. The sandwiches were very good, and they had plenty of meat but not too much. We also had a slice of the rum cake, and I have to say it's some of the best I've ever had. The Greek potato salad and pesto pasta salad are excellent choices too. Bring a healthy appetite!
