Absolutely amazing food throughout the entire reception. Their team was always easy to communicate with and able to accommodate specific requests- including providing wine service with our perfectly grilled filet plated meal. Their goetta sliders and flaming donut station were also a huge hit as late night snacks. I had multiple people tell me they loved their dinner and it wasn't like typical "wedding food" they expected.

Several vendors also shared it was one of the best wedding meals they had tasted. Jan did an amazing job helping us select our menu, organize our tasting, and make changes as details were finalized. Their team was willing and able to travel to my venue in Milton, KY- about an hour from their main location in Cincinnati. If you're looking at caterers in the Cincinnati area this is definitely who you should hire!

Staff was very polite and timely at my wedding this last Saturday. I worked with Jan and she was very patient with answering my questions and making the proper menu for us. The brisket and chicken marsala were a hit. Their food was so good that we have wedding guests asking us to share the left overs. Highly recommend for any catering event you have!

We hired Vonderhaar's Catering to cater our wedding a couple months ago. I worked closely with Jan Riordan. She did a great job! My husband and I appreciated the multiple tastings, advice, proposals, and emails to ensure that our wedding day was a success! Unlike other catering companies, Vonderhaar's Catering was willing to take on the task of doing a plated meal in January at a venue with a small kitchen.

The food was one of the most important piece of the wedding for me and Vonderhaar's Catering made it happen. Everyone raved about how delicious the food was and the service was great! The whole Vonderhaar's Catering team did an amazing job! Definitely recommend!

Had food catered for our Wedding in October for about 100 people. I am giving Vonderhaars 4 stars because although we did have some bumps here and there, at the end of the day this company genuinely cares and tries to make things right. You can definetly tell they have your best interest at heart and seem like good people. The bartenders and the servers that we had at our wedding venue were amazing and so friendly. I think going with a small business like Vonderhaars is a good idea especially when it's for a special occasion.

Vonderhaar's catered my husband and I's wedding this past October. We loved working with them and they were so professional. We chose the buffet style fiesta bar, and I had multiple people approach me telling me that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. They also made our wedding cake and cupcakes which were absolutely gorgeous! They listened to what I was looking for and brought it to life.

Not only were they beautiful, but the flavors were delicious. I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for something more special than the average wedding food and cake!

Went down to Reading Oh. to visit my favorite butcher shop. I picked up 6 beautiful filets going birthday dinner. Hand cut to my specification. Always busy but friendly staff hooked me up! The price of everything is up but worth every cent. If you haven't tried Vonderhaar's your missing out on one of the area's Best. Get on down there for your next Grill out!

Wow! Vonderhaas was amazing! From the tasting to building our menu to postponing our wedding twice due to covid & their incredible food and service the day of the wedding Vonderhaas exceeded our expectations. We have receive so many compliments on how good the food and service was the day of our wedding. Highly recommend booking vonderhaas for your big day! They will not disappoint!

Vonderhaar's catered my wedding and I was blown away by their service. We were ready for the dinner a little earlier than planned, and they still had the food ready quickly. Everybody loved our breakfast buffet! Our two staff members were so friendly and helpful, and they really made our day a lot less stressful. I highly recommend them!

First time visiting this place recommended by my mother. She kept talking about it so I had to check it out. I'm from out of town and I was visiting for 2 months with my daughter. I purchased a sandwich that was so delicious I couldn't stop eating it! I had to because it was so filling. I could only eat half. They are generous with their deli meat and you cannot beat the price!

My mom got her tuna sandwich for 2.75 dollars! Don't get me started on the RIBS. My mom bought some and they were so good, I had to buy my own! I still think about those perfectly tinder smoked ribs. I was thrown off because I'm use to ribs with bbq sauce. Honey! You don't need it with these ribs. The flavor is perfect! It's a small store front that makes a major impact on the neighborhood.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean and appealing establishment. The guy who works the front register had me cracking up and smiling every time I came to visit. I had some housemade prepackaged tortellini pasta that was so delicious, I was sad they didn't offer I every day. All the pasta sides I tried were so tasty. They also serve desserts made by someone local.

That coconut cake, GET SOME! I love how they support local businesses. And then there is an ice cream shop with an abundance of variety. Floats, cones, slushies, etc. My family fell in love with this place and cannot wait to come back to visit. If you're looking for a place to cater your event, look no further! Best caterer, there's a lot of reasons they are a multiple year Best of the Knot catering. Wow, what to say about Vonderhaar's catering. From step one, first meeting everything and everyone was great. They helped us think through all sorts of things that first time hosting families need to think through which we would never have considered on our own.

And those questions and discussions helped our daughter's wedding to go smoothly. They offer a wide array of choices and also have a la carte if you have a specific request. They sent plenty of staff, guests in particular noted how nice it was that we had 4 bartenders and there was never a long line at the bar. They can provide everything and are flexible to do a plated sit down dinner with real everything (plates, cutlery, stemware) or a giant pig roast with disposable everything so they can fit into any budget. They can also do interactive carving stations or a buffet. Highly recommend them for any event, not just weddings as a caterer you can trust with your event.

I filled out a form to request more information regarding catering through their website. After more then a week with no response to my request I phoned and left a message. After more than a week with no response to my phone message I phoned on a Monday and spoke to someone who after take my down all of my specifications told me I would receive a quote through email. It is now almost a week later and no quote. I think this speaks volumes to your commitment to quality and service.

My wife and I had Vonderhaar catering do our wedding this past June. From start to finish they were very professional, communicative, and willing to make our event special in anyway they could. Jan was very helpful in deciding what would work best for our event and added suggestions that kept our budget in mind. They are not the most expensive or the least expensive but we felt that we could depend on them to have the food and service be something we did not need to worry about. Denny and his crew went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and that our guests had all they needed. We would highly recommend Vonderhaar catering For your event.

Vonderhaar's Catering was great. Their service was wonderful. The crew was flexible and understanding of what was to be done. They were very professional. My only complaint is that I did not get what I ordered. The eggplant and primavera were outstanding. During our tasting, we had spaghetti with bolognese sauce that was so good. I dreamed of it for several months.

This is not what we received. We got rotini with marinara sauce, which I greatly dislike on buffets and could not believe it was at my event. When I inquired about the bolognese sauce, I was shown a small bowl that looked mostly like soup that was to be added to the pasta. This was our only meat dish and my biggest disappointment with the wedding.

Of course, this entree was leftover. When putting it up, my sister found a piece of meat not even the size of a pea. The marinara sauce was good, but not what I ordered. Go with Vondehaar, just don't order the bolognese.

We used Vonderhaar for a wedding for approx. 250 guests. They made the planning and execution so easy. They walked us through the process and gave great advice on what we should and shouldn't do. Wendy coordinated the crew at the wedding and last minute details were handled great. Wonderful job!

After getting engaged & deciding to get married within six short months, my husband, hailing from Reading knew Vonderhaar's was at the top of the list for the choice of caterer. With a wide selection of menus, carving stations, pasta bar, potato bar, dessert bars, vegetarian options, and a la cart options, we knew we could get what we wanted in our budget, which kept changing.

Besides budget, we wanted the food to taste good. How many times have you been to a wedding and the food is just rubber chicken? Awful. After looking at the extensive list of food choices, we were able to narrow our top 8 or so and have an actual tasting. We wanted elegance, food we liked & to cater to some family members who aren't meat eaters.

While all the food we tried was delicious, we settled on beef, vegetable lasagna, garlic mashed potatoes, Caesar salad, and some other choices, plus soda and beer. When the day came, the food was delicious (what I got to eat of it!) & I was impressed how staff deferred to me as the bride, made sure I and my husband were the first to eat, have wine & refills, more food (& this was buffet style) & even that the lighting remained at the level I wanted. (Candlelight was an important element at the reception.) I had many, many comments from guests that night & later about how delicious the food was & how unexpected that generally can be for a wedding.

I can't say much about their catering but this is your one stop for liquor. They have a huge selection and are priced decently.

On very short notice, I called Vonderhaar's to cater a holiday lunch for my office three days before the event. They have an extensive and very affordable menu, so we opted for the traditional pasta bar at $11.95/head. The service to place the order was fantastic - easy, quick, friendly, and she made sure to follow up with me via email so I had the contract waiting for me as soon as we were finished with the call.

The delivery was a few minutes early, and they set everything up beautifully without me having to lift a finger. The quality of the dishware they provide is much better than I expected, and staff gushed about how great the food was, especially for having been delivered! Portion sizes were generous, and we had some leftovers for lunch the next day, which even reheated well! We'll definitely be considering Vonderhaar's as an option for future catering needs.

We love vonderhaars! We used to go here all the time when we lived in reading, they have a nice little grocery/liquor store. We love there fresh cut steaks and home made potato salads. This place has amazing quality at very reasonable prices you must give it a shot if you in the area. We have also have used there catering service for about 70 people and it was very good everything was warm and delicious!

10/3/2014 Vonderhaar's catered our daughter's wedding and bar none, this was THE best wedding food we've ever had. The next day we received so many calls and texts from friends and family and raving about the wedding first and then about the amazing food. The service was impeccable, the captain took special care of our daughter and son-in-law all night. We will recommend Vonderhaar's every chance we get! Thank you all so much!

Vonderhaar Catering makes wedding planning easy! I am having my upcoming wedding at Cooper Creek (in July). We went to a private tasting with Don. He was extremely professional and answered all of my questions. He was easy to work with and very resourceful. On top of that, the food was wonderful! Wedding planning can stressful and it is really great when you come across a vendor that you feel 100% confident in working with-Vonderhaar's was JUST THAT!

Planning my wedding has been fairly painless, the only speed bump we've been hitting is that my fiance' and I are vegan and everyone else is. not. So we thought finding a caterer for the rehearsal dinner might be difficult. My mom suggested we all do a tasting at Vonderhaar's, she talked with them through a few emails and found out their marinara sauce and noodles are vegan.

We went up to their location, which is several buildings including a market, a creamy whip, and a building devoted to their catering service. We sat down with Don Vonderhaar and talked about a meal proposal while sampling the food. The pasta with veggies was delicious and Don was very professional and friendly. He was very accommodating of our vegan diet and even brought us the part of the breadstick box with the ingredient list on it so we could check it ourselves. On top of all that, their prices are very reasonable. We're definitely booking with them for our rehearsal dinner.

This is a great lunch spot, if you're looking to just grab something and go. They make amazing sandwiches at amazing (read cheap) prices! It's a small convenience store as well as a deli. That means they also have salads, cole slaw, potato salad, fruit, all sorts of sides if you want a nice healthy lunch. They even make their own chicken salad!

You can pick your toppings, bread, meat, cheese, everything is custom made to order, yummy, and filling! Bonus, its good for you too. The place is behind the catering building, so just watch out for that. But a great little shop! oh, and they sell liquor too :)
