The Gourmet Vendor Inc. is an originator in catering. The Gourmet Vendor is known as "The carts that cater" which cater private and corporate parties, grand openings, special events, charity events, and have appeared in TV commercials, just to name a few. From 1983, their beginning, to today, The Gourmet Vendor has become Philadelphia's largest, and the United States' biggest, Cart Catering Company.
Our catering is unique. Since 1983 we have been catering the same way and have added many carts and foods since our beginning. The way our catering works is you select what foods you want to serve and we cook and serve them onsite from our unique specialty Carts, decked out in red and white stripes with matching umbrellas.
How do you Charge? The way we charge is a little different from a standard caterer. We charge a service (or cart) fee for your cart and vendor (server). This is for the server(s) time, the use of the cart and of course, the cost to get everything there and back. Then we charge depending on foods that are served or pre ordered.

We used Gourmet Vendor for our son's 1st birthday party and they did an amazing job! We hired them as our food provider for the party and they exceeded expectations with their service for us. Brad made the process to setup the menu and give different packages and pricing options stress free and easy. Once we settled on the menu for the party, all logistics were taken care of any questions we had were answered in a timely manner.
The day of the event, they arrived early and were setup very quickly. Adam and Jon, the two workers at the event went above and beyond for us, helping us with setup for the event and ensuring all guests were fed and happy. They even went out of their way to ask if we wanted food as we were busy running around entertaining our guests. As someone who is very particular about running an event/party, I would highly recommend using Gourmet Vendor and tell you you will be very happy with the decision. I look forward to using them again next time around!

There is no end to great things I can say about my experience with Brad and his crew. We hosted a house warming party for 50. All ages and different tastes but this was a breeze for Brad. The set up was super fast, the staff as friendly and accommodating as we could hope. They were efficient, clean and most of all, always asking how they can help.
With such instant fame from the set up and food quality, we asked and they obliged to stay not just one, but 2 hours over time making the party a hit through and through. My neighbors and friends alike haven't stopped raving about the party but more so "the vendors". If you are having any kind of get tougher, the gourmet vendor is the way to go.

Where to even begin with The Gourmet Vendor! I know, their excellent customer service prior to EVEN any person stepping into my home. Brad did a wonderful job setting up exactly what we needed for our family BBQ of about 30-40 people. Prior to the event he called to check-in and asked me if I'd like to make any changes to the party size, food ordering, etc.
Top notch care from the get go. Day of the party, pre Covid I must add, Brad's crew of lovely humans came to my house/backyard and set everything up in record time. The gas grill was ready for our order of burgers and hotdogs, and all the accoutrements were beautifully set up. Brad's team interacted with all our guests and they were a HIT.
Very funny, down to earth, and made the party a blast. They EVEN cleaned our guests tables! Didn't need to hire an extra person for that. When the night came to an end, Brad's crew wrapped up everything that was already made and left the leftovers directly in our fridge. Didn't have to lift a finger all day! They cleaned all their items and packed up their truck fairly quickly too. Couldn't believe how clean they left our place. 10/10 recommend GV for all your party needs. Although our party was pre-Covid, I can imagine they're keeping it clean and safe during this turbulent times.

We can't can't say enough good things about The Gourmet Vendor. Service and food was 5-star, everyone that came raved about it. The guys arrived early, were very dependable, talked to them several times prior to the event, they called the week of to go over the menu again, they take care of every guest and then clean up like they were never there. Simply amazing! We couldn't have been happier and they did all of that in the pouring rain! Hats off the The Gourmet Vendor!

Pool party for 35- had burgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken, Mac n cheese, salad. Food was just okay; salad was actually poor; Mac was below avg; no onions, pickles, etc for the burgers. The guys must have dumped oil from the grill onto the lawn because I was left with 2 very large areas of dead grass patches behind where they were grilling. No phone or email follow up from owner/manager afterward to seek feedback on the event. For their price not worth it.

Wow! I am so impressed with Gourmet Vendor. I highly recommend! This was a true winner. First of all, Brad is so delightful to do business with. He always answers his phone.even on a but dial! Lol. Our Vendor guy, Dave, was perfect. Friendly, wanting to please and overall an awesome guy. The cart was festive, clean and provided a fun atmosphere. This was a milestone birthday celebration in our back yard.
We had the ice cream and soft pretzel combo cart. Perfect in every way. Our guests loved the selection and went back for seconds and even thirds. I really did not need any other food for my guests other than the alcohol and birthday cake. It was that easy. Everyone was curious about how we found such a unique party idea. And that's what we loved most.unique party idea. Definitely go for it!

Gourmet Vendor seriously exceeded our expectations! We had them cater our son's Bar Mitzvah. From the hors d oeuvres, bar pourers, and food carts, they had us covered with top notch service and delicious food. Our guests loved the novelty of the food carts and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The cheese steaks, fries, and cotton candy carts were real crowd pleasers. We highly recommend them and will be using them for future parties.

We just had the greatest experience with The Gourmet Vendor. We wanted to include New York themed food at our wedding in July and needed a late night snack. We looked high and low for a vendor in Manhattan and could not find anyone who could accommodate our schedule that day. Thankfully that changed when we found these guys. Not only were they willing to drive from Pennsylvania, but they also made everything so easy for us.
Our hungry party goers were eager to get to the hot dogs and pretzels when they arrived so thankfully they set up quickly on the rooftop, which was amazing because they even started a little earlier than they were scheduled to. EVERYONE complimented the food. We did not expect so much feedback from our friends and family, thinking it's just a snack, but so many people were thrilled with the food and the experience.
Everyone who ate said it was amazing. People keep raving about the hot dogs. I've never heard so many compliments. I think we could have kept these guys an hour or two longer because they were such a hit at the party. Thank you Gourmet Vendor! You truly added something special to our wedding and let us end the night with a unique experience people won't forget!

We hired the Gourmet Vendor for my son's High School graduation party and it was an absolute success. The food was delicious, and everyone thought that it was such a unique party idea. I was able to spend time with my guests at the party and I didn't need to do anything because everything was provided down to paper plates, napkins, ketchup and mustard.
I can't say enough about how professional and nice the servers were. Christian and Ryan arrived in plenty of time to have everything set up before my guests arrived any they were very careful about keeping my home clean and my guests happy. In addition to the food, I had a snow cone machine and everyone loved that, the children enjoyed the cool treat, and the adults poured vodka on top of their snow cones.

The Gourmet Vendor did an excellent job at our son's high school graduation party this past Saturday. Even though it rained, the staff did a great job utilizing our garage for their setup. Just used The Gourmet Vendor for our daughter's graduation party and I can't say enough good things about them. Brad, the owner, was incredibly responsive and helpful. The guys with the cart came early (there were 3 of them, Adam, Christian and James) and set up everything quickly. They were very friendly and made a point of coming in and out of the house (we had people inside and outside) to ask people if they could bring them anything.
I also saw them going around and picking up empty plates and throwing them away. Certainly more than I expected! The soft pretzels were fresh and delicious. The hotdogs and hamburgers were also delicious. And, people loved having the ice cream. I though the overall cost was very reasonable and it was wonderful to not have to stand over a hot grill on a very hot, muggy day. My husband and I really got to enjoy the party. I highly recommend them!

We have used them twice now and each time our guest have complimented us on our food choice. The last time we used them it was for a High School graduation party for about 120 people. It rained that day and we set up the carts in our garage. Everything worked out perfectly. Their staff are top notch, very personable and very customer service oriented.
