Sugarsnap

This was my first experience using Sugar Snap to cater a small (20 people) outdoor company event this winter. I worked with Gare and found him to be very helpful and extremely responsive. I am new to the catering process and was a little unsure of what might be best for our outing, and Gare provided wonderful suggestions that worked for us. He was flexible and able to accommodate our every need. I will be using them again for sure! Highly recommend. Great experience.

We were nervous organizing our outdoor campground wedding during COVID (July 17, 2021) but Kristen and Sam heard every concern and thought and helped make our wedding flow. We had a blast and didn't have to lift a finger-Sam's day of coordination skills were amazing, and Kristen was super responsive in advance. The staff at the wedding went above and beyond to keep folks comfortable and help with a few other tasks.

The food was completely delicious and Sam baked us some amazing pies for dessert that were a hit. They were professional, adaptive, great to work with, and in advance really helped reassure us and make sure we had what we needed (without renting unnecessary things).

Sugarsnap recently catered a party at my house (about 50-60 people). Abbey and her team were great to work with during the event planning, and Margaret was absolutely wonderful on the day-of. We've also used them several times for work functions from recruitment day events to more formal graduation events at venues with 100+ people. This time, we only did food through them (which was spectacular), but in past have used their bartending packages as well - they are always professional, friendly, and great service. I just thought it was about time to write a review since every time we use them everyone always remarks on how much they love the food!

We worked long distance with Abbey at Sugarsnap during the pandemic to plan our daughter's May 2021 wedding reception. She made everything incredibly easy and was available and timely with all of our questions. The menu options were expansive -- enough to meet the needs of all our guests with such variety. It was important to me that we highlight local ingredients, and that is simply a part of Sugarsnap's mission.

Once the event finally arrived, we were anxious to sample the food after having planned for so long! We couldn't have been happier. The food was fresh, prepared and served so beautifully, and so delicious! Abbey and her staff were easy to work with -- professional but at the same time incredibly friendly and easygoing. The staff was also diligent about safety and comfort of the guests during the reception. We were glad they could be a part of our celebration, and I highly recommend them for yours!

We recently used Sugarsnap to cater a luncheon after our father's burial service. The set up was a simple meal of sandwiches, salads, chips and cookies. It was a simple meal but such a very elegant. presentation. The food was fantastic, and the service was impeccable. It was so nice not have to worry about any set up or clean up and Jen was so attentive to all our guests. We were super impressed and would highly recommend them to anyone for any type of event.

I stumbled upon Sugarsnap on the Front Porch Forum and they are now offering delivered farm to table meals during the pandemic. My gosh, everything is outrageously delicious! I can not say enough good things about their food and I've already placed another order. Their menu changes weekly and they also offer some produce, yummy treats, baking supplies and even margarita kits! Please please please give them a try! Thank you, Sugarsnap!

Recently we had Abbey and her team cater our very small pandemic wedding and it was incredible. The food was so good, I'm still thinking about it! They also did our cake which was easily the best I've ever had, and our bar service. Professional, kind, and would use them again and again for any needs we have! Thank you!

Sugar snap catered a one day work retreat for us, including breakfast, lunch, and breaks. The food was simple and delicious (especially the scones and soup). Very reasonably priced with simple but nice presentation.

Sugarsnap Catering was amazing. From the communication to the service, everything was excellent. My wife Kristina and I had our vow renewal in Vermont and Sugarsnap really came through. Sugarsnap was a great fit for our wedding. The food was delicious! They were also very flexible with my indecisiveness and changes to our menu and needs and helped me stay on budget. Responsiveness wasn't always great, but that is because the employee was very busy, but once I got contact info for my actual event coordinator, responsiveness was great. The staff at the wedding was great, attentive and friendly.

THE BEST. I recently worked with Kristen Beaver at Sugarsnap and to say the food was amazing is an understatement. First off, Kristen was awesome to work with. She was efficient, friendly, funny and helpful. The food was BEYOND delicious. We had about 72 people in attendance who loved everything. The party was over a week ago and employees keep telling me how much they loved the food!

The staff was so kind and friendly. Sugarsnap was a huge factor in the success of our party! I highly recommend Sugarsnap for your next event! We can't wait to work with them again!

Sugarsnap was an incredible choice for catering and bar for our wedding weekend. We worked specifically with Kristen Beaver who was hands-down the best possible individual we could have ever hoped for to help coordinate our wedding day. From numerous e-mails and phone calls to accommodating multiple tastings due to my wife's food allergies, Kristen was the ultimate professional and kept us at ease as we were planning the wedding ourselves from out of state. Kristen also served as the coordinator and point person for all of our vendors throughout the day and took charge when needed, checking in with us only when necessary.

She was kind, flexible, calming, and incredibly organized - leaving us feeling confident even when the weather forecasts changed by the second. It was looking doubtful that we'd be able to have the outdoor wedding ceremony we had always dreamed of, but Kristen suggested we wait out the weather, and sure enough, we were able to get married outside with a beautiful view of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains in the background.

In spite of all of the weather, Sugarsnap did a fantastic job moving our planned outdoor cocktail hour inside quickly and efficiently, wiped down the chairs several times after each downpour, and even brought in appetizers and drinks to our wedding party when our post-ceremony photo shoot was taking longer than expected. We opted for a family style meal and the food and service were outstanding.

We received so many compliments on the food and bar service and guests are still talking about it today. We so wish we could go back and re-experience our day. Thank you to Sugarsnap and Kristen for doing such an incredible job and making our wedding unforgettable!

Fantastic wedding caterer. Guests were raving about the BBQ buffet we served at our event on 9/8/18. Kristen was a super helpful and patient coordinator and held our hand through the entire process. The entire staff was friendly. We're so glad we chose Sugarsnap! Most importantly the food was delicious -- from the passed apps to the dessert cupcakes, these guys are incredible. Book them!

We used Sugar Snap as our home away from home Thanksgiving dinner caterer during an Airbnb stay in Burlington. Every part of the process was awesome! Building the menu, the drop off and most importantly the food! Everything was amazing. Some of the highlights of dinner were the super plump, perfectly cooked shrimp with awesome dipping sauces, the best gluten free stuffing I've ever had and juicy turkey roulade. Their customer service is also top notch; Jackson was very responsive and flexible as we built our menu. I would 100% recommend!

SugarSnap catered our wedding, a small family gathering at my mom's house, in August 2017. They were incredibly helpful, responsive, and accommodating, and the food was fantastic! The basil lemonade, sandwiches, salads, all delicious. The food arrived exactly when they said it would, hot and ready to eat. I highly recommend them for your catering needs.

Sugarsnap came highly recommended to me. I scheduled an in person appointment after discussing my catering needs via email and when I arrived for the appointment the building was locked and closed. It could have been a miscommunication as the person I thought I was meeting was under the impression it was a phone appointment. Thankfully we had the phone appointment in place of the in person meeting but the estimate was not delivered in the one week time frame promised. In fact, it was not delivered at all. I had to follow up three weeks later.

I can't say enough about how amazing SugarSnap is. They catered our May 2017 wedding at the Barn at Smuggs and it was phenomenal! They were a pleasure to work with and their food is so tasty. Not to mention the presentation of the food on the wedding day and professionalism of the staff was superb. A lot of brides say that they never eat at their wedding because they are so busy mingling, but I made a point to enjoy all the food because I knew just how incredible it was going to be. Book SugarSnap! They are the best!

I attended a party at Echo Center at which there were stations with charcuterie, cheese, dips, breads, and crackers followed by stations with dumplings, shrimp, flatbreads, sliders and unidentifiable foods. The first stations were excellent, with outstanding local cheeses and charcuterie. There was a delicious dip with butternut squash. The main course offerings, however, were barely edible.

The garlic shrimp was overly seasoned with cilantro, the dumplings were dry and flavorless The flatbreads were so fragile I could not pick them up with tongs. The sliders had a mealy texture and were not flavorful. It was one of those events where you need to order pizza after because you are still hungry.

I used Sugarsnap catering for my wedding to take care of both food and bar, and they were absolutely incredible. Everyone I worked with was super-friendly and helpful, and never once complained about my constant inane questions! They provided a tasting session about 6 months before the wedding, to which they allowed me to bring a huge group of family members, including our 1 year old nephew.

In choosing the menu they were very understanding in accommodating our wide range of diets, from vegans to pure carnivores. We decided on a menu that had something for everyone, and the food was of course delicious (green bean almondine and curried spinach, chickpea and brown rice are highly recommended!). They also source everything from local farms, which we really liked.

I even threw a bunch of strange requests at them (apple cider for toasts instead of champagne, a late-night s'mores table with chocolate-covered English digestive biscuits instead of graham crackers) and they handled it all. But I was most impressed with how proactively they handled it all. For example: "English digestive biscuits are a bit hard to find in the U.S., do you want me to provide them?" "Nope, we can find them for you!" I had also completely forgotten that for the s'mores would need sticks for roasting the marshmallows (duh) but on the day there was a beautifully-laid table, complete with wooden skewers, a chalkboard with written instructions, and my specially-requested chocolate-covered English digestive biscuits.

On a day when I had so many other things to think about, the fact that they had thought of every detail really meant a lot to me. Thank you Sugarsnap for helping to make our wedding a personalized (and delicious) event!
