Very very friendly staff. Great service. Food was not bad, but nothing to rave about. Lacked flavor

This has been a weekday lunch rotation for years and deserves a review. Locally owned and always consistent, I've never gotten a bad meal here. Large portions, rotating lunch specials, excellent soup options and a huge roll with every meal. Try the Boscaiolla for something a little different than your normal Italian option, you won't be disappointed!

The pizza was good but we were very disappointed in the large American Chef salad. It had some toppings on top but once you looked under these, the lettuce was all old and dried out and just huge hunks of the core parts of the lettuce that were inedible.

Grilled chicken salad is my favorite! And the rolls are like grandmas! You won't be disappointed!

I have picked up deliveries from this place for months, and today, I finally decided to try it. There is no other way to say it; this is an excellent restaurant! The minestrone soup was perfect, not too hot, not too cold, and not thin nor with too many tomatoes. The five cheese pizza_ excellent choice. Similar to NY style, the crust was thinner than most places, though not quite paper thin.

The cheese, well, what more can be said? You can taste the fact that the dough was hand made. And the service here as usual is bar none. The staff are friendly and care about their jobs. The owner takes pride in his business, and you can see it. The store was clean, the decor homey. Great place all around

Delicious! If you love that homemade taste of lasagna and roll with salad? This is a great place to eat out and enjoy a good meal.

Me and my husband ordered the Linguini with shrimp. The shrimp was so small that you would need a magnify glass to see it. Secondly, the bread rolls was hard as a rock! Thirdly, the food had zero flavor and too much oil base and the oil was green. I can't imagine what my body is saying consuming that! Never again!

Lasagna 4 stars Pretty standard but good lasagna. Chicken Alfredo 3-4 stars This felt like it was missing salt. Once added it was much better. The chicken is thinly sliced, but I found it a bit dry. Beef Ravioli 4.5 stars I think this was in a bechamel sauce? It was full of good flavor and this would be an item I think I should reorder I didn't get much service as I arrived late, but my friend told me it was excellent. They said the serving staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

This is a nice place to get some pasta, soup, and salad. My family goes here at least ever other week. This is always a great choice. I've had many things on the menu and am never disappointed. I'll be back soon.

I was looking for spaghetti - tried to other places and they were too full so I ended up here. The person taking my order was very patient and kind - I wasn't thrilled with the spaghetti I got to go from the other store a few weeks earlier as I had asked for extra sauce and it didn't happen. Well they did great here tonight. My problem is that I didn't really like the sauce - it's good and most would probably be happy with it - I would have liked it more if it was a little sweeter.

I love the food I get from here, and the only reason I am giving the 4 stars instead of 5 was the cleanliness. I had to point out that there was not a clean table - now mind you there was only 4 tables with people and every other table and booth was dirty.

If you've read a review of mine before, you know I try to take places as they are and not compare them to what they aren't. If you're out to lunch and want affordable pasta, quickly in a nice atmosphere then this not a bad place to go! Food is decent and staff is friendly. During my experience they were a little busy during their dinner service. Pasta was well cooked but the 4 cheese sauce was a little bland. Salt added at the table did a lot to help. Overall, it's affordable and pleasant. Solid 4 Stars.

This place needs a better organized take out system. A dedicated pick up line would be great. There was a long of people ordering dine-in at the counter. And people who called in their orders have to wait in this line while their food sits. I had to wait for five groups to order before I could get to the register. By that time it was 20 minutes past when my order was to be ready.

I also ordered take out to avoid covid exposure inside. So It sucks that I had to stand inside this long. Last time I was here the food was pretty good and reasonably priced.

Ordered 1 pizza and spaghetti. After 30 mins we find out the pizza was never made but told it will be out in "2 mins". 10 mins later, nothing. Now it's going to be another "6 mins". Total time to get 1 pizza was 1 hour. I complained and some kid gives me $8 back and apologized. There were over 10 people chit chatting and socializing in that kitchen.

One kid was primping his curly hair right over a food preparation area while others just stood there chatting. Broke our hearts to be treated like that after being loyal customers for so many years. Won't ever be back and would never recommend it. Health inspector better check that place out before someone gets hair in their food.

Seems to have gone down hill. House dressing still solid but for the price so many better places. Ordered gluten free noodles with mushroom cream sauce. No cream at all. Driest pasta the wife has had. Plus the charge $4 extra for gluten free noodles. Way overpriced. I would say just taking advantage of using the letters GF. Meatballs were dry and weird flavor. This used to be a go to but that seems to have changed.

I ordered the Alabacore Boscaiola as I have done a few times before. The last 2 times I found very little tuna that did not warrant calling the dish a "seafood" pasta. Very disappointing and not worth a repeat. Not even mentioning the few peas and few muchrooms.

Stopped in tonight with my granddaughter for take out. The pizza and chicken salads were fantastic. The mozzarella sticks were cold and didn't taste very well. It doesn't matter because the dog jumped up and took the mozzarella sticks off the table and ate them LOL.

Love that the lunch specials happen on Saturdays and Sundays as well as the weekdays. I had the two pieces of pizza and a drink and ordered a side salad and the meatball chunks. The good: Pizza slices were huge and delicious. Great flavor! Meatball chunks portions were large for an appetizer! House Salad dressing was awesome per usual. Not so good: the drink was so tiny.

Side salad was full of yellow ends of the iceberg. Just wish it would've been a little greener. Overall great experience with calling into order and picking up. The packaging kept the food very warm for the drive home. Thanks!

2nd stop on our pizza tour of Omaha. It was pretty good. It wasn't the best. We got the prime cut pizza and the 5 cheese. The prime cut was great. The 5 cheese was ok but not the best. We ordered the meatballs and a the mozzarella sticks. The meatballs were awesome and tasted amazing. The mozzarella sticks tasted like they were frozen and weren't crispy at all.

Overall it was like I said pretty good. I definitely wouldn't come here for pizza though. The prices were very affordable and it is pretty good. Would come here again though.

I have been a fan of Sgt. Peffer's for over 15 years. My first job out of college always used to get catering from the Saddle Creek location. I have dined in and ordered take out from the Millard location. This one is showing its age a bit, but when ordering takeout on a Friday night they were able to turn around the order in 20 minutes. The food was still hot when I got home.

My go-to meal of choice is cheese tortellini with alfredo, but over the years I have enjoyed pizzas, a variety of pastas and sandwiches. Overall great food and customer service!

Waste of time driving here. Website says the Millard location is open till 9pm. Showed up and the half awake kid employee said they just closed. It was 8:01pm. Mentioned the website said 9:00pm and he said "it does, interesting". And onward to another restaurant we go to spend our money. Call before going to make sure they are open. They obviously don't care to update their online profile. *Attached a screenshot from this very Yelp page showing that it even says 9pm.

Ordered take out, once again, cause quarantine. This was my first Sgt. Peffer's experience and I have to say I was impressed. Our food arrived hot and just as we ordered it. The homemade vinaigrette and rolls were very good! And you can't ever go wrong with baked pasta, especially when you split it between white and red sauce. Pour yourself a glass of wine and try Sgt. Peffer's for a nice night in.

Love this authentic italian restaurant. The food is always delicious. You can tell they take pride in their food and pleasing customers. Love all the vegetarian options.

Love visiting Sgt Peffers! The food here is always fantastic and the customer service has a usually on point! The small restaurant feel is fantastic and the prices at just right. I recommend going before or after the dinner rush as the customer service seems to decline when they are busy with in-house tables and pick up orders. Happy eating Yelpers!

Delivered me some 2 sauce cannelloni and a small salad, meatballs, and garlic toast. all was delicious and that cannelloni is now my new favorite food - like ever! it was delivered piping hot. i know they are in a shopping area in Millard with plenty of parking out front- on past visits i had the pizza which was really good too. i also liked the housemade vinaigrette on my salad. YUM!

Good affordable Italian cuisine in Millard. You order at the counter, have a seat, and then wait for your food to be brought to you. Their lunch specials are great. You can get a good sized portion of baked pasta, a roll, a salad (or soup), and a drink for around $10. Not too bad at all. One complaint: They make their own Italian dressing and it's just never good.

I think it's because it separates and people don't realize it. So they pour some out and get mostly oil. Then they realize it and shake it up, but by then the oil to vinegar to herb balance in the container has been thrown off. I know. I know. I've put way too much thought into it. It would help if they shook up the container thoroughly before handing it to the customers.

The "taste like it's out of jar" crowd of reviewers cracks me up. I'd love to get 5 jarred marinaras and 5 made from scratch ones and do a blind taste test and see if they can actually pick out the 5 jarred ones. I'd bet good money they can't. Everyone thinks they're an expert in Italian sauces. It's not from a jar, people.

Now my eyes hurt from rolling them. For those into Omaha restaurant history, Sgt. Peffer's owners are the same people who were behind "Pefferoni's Pizza & Etcetera" back in the 1980s.

Real good! We got their Meatlover's pizza(The Prime Cut), and it had good quality meat toppings and they didn't skimp. Overall, the flavor of it was perfect! I will be back to order again soon. Definitely 5 stars from me!

Skip the garlic bread and salad. I've had more garlic on a PBJ, and the salad is straight out of an uninspired bag. That said: good gracious, eat some entrees! We love the ravioli, and the meatballs in red sauce. So, so good. We're excited to dig into the menu more and see what else we can fall in love with.
