Next month this review will be 14 years overdue. As others have said Rhonda is amazing. She isn't a wedding coordinator, but sure did a lot to make our wedding day fantastic. Her work was so seamless and so through the catering was never a thought or a concern. It was my wedding day and the service was so outstanding and professional I was able to fully focus on enjoying my day and not concern myself with anything else.

All special requests all needs, all requirements were met with complete perfection. There was zero, zero, zero issue or drama. Now the food. OMG. First it was gorgeous. I didn't know if I should look at it or eat it. The display was beyond fantastic. But it is food, ya gotta eat. Oh yeah, the trend of perfection continues. So very, very good. I don't have many opportunities to use catering but if I did I would make only one phone call and one call only. Saucy Salamander.

Rhonda and her team were amazing. She helped me and my husband navigate having to reschedule our wedding due to COVID. She was always available to answer every email and call I made. The wedding day was perfect; even though we ended up with about half of our original guest count, the team did everything to make it surpass my expectations. We did not hire a wedding planner and really had no need to due to Rhonda's diligence and efficiency. I would use this company for any event in the future.

Saucy Salamander catered our recent wedding and thanks to Rhonda and the wonderful team at Saucy Salamander, it really was the fantastic celebration we had hoped to share with our family and friends. The food was beautiful, delicious and remarkable. Literally. Each guest we have spoken with since just loved the food and many said that it was the best wedding dinner they have ever had (with several mentions of the Saucy Salad alone)! Rhonda and her team set the room perfectly.

Thanks to her many years of experience as an approved caterer at our venue, they transformed the space into an elegant room with our simple decor. They attended to my new husband, me and our all of our guests with thoughtful care. But catering is not all that they do. Rhonda was an enormous help in the planning and decision making process. She made navigating the many options easy, and generously made suggestions and provided recommendations for items I needed help with or had not thought of - and there were many.

She guided us through selecting linens, securing rentals and the wine and spirits for the bar, and referred us to an excellent bakery for the cake. I truly can't thank Rhonda and the Saucy Salamander Team enough for their work to make our wedding the wonderful evening that it was. I would highly and wholeheartedly recommend Saucy Salamander to anyone catering an event of any kind, large or small. I am so very happy that they catered our wonderful wedding day!

Saucy Salamander catered a wedding and reception for us in May, 2019 and we were thrilled with everything they did for us! Rhonda was so warm and friendly and, above all, absolutely wonderful to work with.she quickly understood our ideas and was able to offer us expert advice and many helpful suggestions. She guided us through every step of the process with gentle reminders and great enthusiasm!

On the wedding day, it was evident that Rhonda and her staff were making every effort to help us host a very special and fabulous celebration. Our guests praised their professional manners, efficient service, and, of course, their delicious food! We could not have asked for a better company.we would not hesitate to recommend them for any catering needs, but especially for a wedding and reception that you'll always remember with much pride and happiness!

I just can't say enough about Rhonda and the team at Saucy Salamander Catering! Not only was the food delicious (we had numerous guests say it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding!), but the service that Rhonda provides is outstanding. We selected our caterer early on in the wedding planning process, and Rhonda stepped up early on to help me in any way possible.

Since I didn't hire any kind of wedding planner, her help was so appreciated and relieved a lot of stress. On the day of the wedding, she arrived with her team early and ensured that every detail of the reception was perfect. I'll admit I'm a perfectionist and she surpassed every expectation. During the reception, she took care of me and my husband so well, serving us food, drinks, and cake right to our sweetheart table. If you're looking for a trustworthy, experienced caterer who can serve the most delicious food at your wedding, then you need to hire Saucy Salamander!

Saucy Salamander catered my wedding. They were one of the few approved by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation headquarters. My wedding was years ago, but this has been bothering me since so I finally want to write a review about it. The food was delicious, certainly. And the caterer helped plan with chairs, tables, and linens, which was very helpful. My big complaint is that we told the caterer that we wanted to keep the leftovers because we had friends and family staying with use for the next couple days.

But at the end of the wedding, when my appointed friend went to the caterer to get the leftovers, she was told that it was all thrown out. Then a bag of olives was scrounged up. I don't believe that it was all thrown out, and then when my friend insisted "this isn't the agreement you had with the bride" that magically a bag of olives appeared.

I don't remember if this was in the contract. I suppose it should have been, but it was my first and only wedding and I went in naive. Despite how much I liked the taste of the food, I wouldn't patronize this business again because I feel like a large portion of my food was taken from me (less people came to my wedding than I paid for, so there were a lot of leftovers).

I had the pleasure of using the catering services of Saucy Salamander for my company's 20th Anniversary party at the Blue Heron Room at Quiet Waters Park on October 1, 2014. I have been in the meetings and events industry for over 20 years and have worked with many caterers in my career. I had never used their services before but after my first meeting, I knew I made the right decision.

They are wonderful to work with, the quality of the food was outstanding and their commitment to customer service was unrivaled. Our guests raved and the event was a smashing success. I attribute a good part of that success to the services provided by Saucy Salamander. I highly recommend them for any event you are considering. I know I said it the night of the event but thanks to you and your team you once again for your contribution to the success of our event.

The location on Riva Road has been vacant for a number of months this year. Recently discovered that the quaint little sandwich shop has moved from it's listed location to an inside location on the grounds of the Homestead Gardens on Rt 214 in Davidsonville. http://www.homesteadgardens.com/saucy-salamander-cafe/

Saucy salamander catered my wedding. I only interviewed one caterer. The first time I sat down with Rhonda, I knew I wanted to use her. Our lunch that day was so delicious - chicken salad, on a buttery croissant (I am not usually a fan of fruit and/or nuts in chicken salad but. YUM!) She was so kind and open to my mom, my grandmother and I. My grandmother is ill and she was aware - she was especially kind to her and promised to make my wedding day special for us.

She did! She made my big day completely stress free. I had a server with me making sure I ate the entire evening - thank god, I never would have! The food was spectacular, and in the months leading up she even took the time to go with us to pick the linens, and assisted in getting the beverage provider all set. Saucy salamander is sooo amazing! :)

I can't say enough good things about Saucy Salmander. both their food and their staff. I can not imagine having any other caterer at my wedding! I felt as if the staff were an extension of my friends/family. They were the most pleasant, kind, professional, fun and accommodating group of people. They were beyond helpful and really took care of every single person at the wedding.

They really went above and beyond, helping with every single detail- even those I didn't expect them to help with. The food was OUTSTANDING! Weeks later, people are still talking about how delicious it was. Very rarely do brides and grooms have the opportunity to eat their meal, well my husband and I refused to leave the table once we started eating!

My wedding day planner even made a point to reach out to me after the wedding and express how amazing it was to work so closely with Saucy Salamander (and she works with a lot of caterers.) I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer. They were amazing from the first meeting to the last goodbye, served really delicious food and were extremely reasonably priced. Thank you Rhonda, Ann and the entire team!

Always had ideas of trying this place for a change of pace, and frankly now I wish I hadn't bothered. As others said it's tucked away in a office building compound and although the courtyard with tables is quite charming, the inside is a hodge podge of furnishings that reminds one of everything from a school cafetaria or office break room, to a self service coffee house.

Nothing really made sense, but hey I was getting things to go so the heck with the ambiance. We ordered a reuben and a ham and pineapple on a croissant (had a cutesy name but cannot recollect it), with sodas and two one ounce bag of chips. I think the total was $25 bucks. Cringing, I opened up my wallet and prayed that we would be getting some great tasting sammies for that price tag.

The wait was pretty long, and I fidgeted near the counter as there is really no where to muster. When we finally opened up our styrofoam containers, we were not too impressed, but hey, this isn't visual dining. Both meals were blah, and something was really off with chips. It took a couple bites for my buds to register that these chips were stale! Ugh.

The expiration date was still weeks away so some how these bags had been compromised. I just don't understand these places who concentrate on serving very specific foods but just can't master what they offer. Neither sandwich had any distinguishable flavors or components that shined. I might as well have been eating at a school cafetaria.

Saucy Salamander catered our wedding. Rhonda and her team were excellent! The food was fantastic, the wedding reception was run flawlessly, the service was attentive and professional, and Rhonda is fun and eager to please. She is friendly, energetic, and very encouraging. When we said "brunch" she was happy to discuss bunch ideas but equally happy to hear our ideas.

She made key lime pie milkshakes and mini pancakes on toothpicks at our request. She gave good advice on how to set up the venue and was a great help throughout the planning process from meeting at the venue to picking the rental place settings. They love food and good service. We loved them!

Huge portions for a reasonable price, what a fun twist on a French cafe. I recommend the "make your own" salad and sandwiches. Their pesto chicken salad is delish. HIdden away in between offices it's a nice mid-day oasis. Why go back to work when you can dine outdoors among the flowers? I was also pleasantly surprised that they do weddings here.

There is a old world charm in the courtyard that is hidden between two buildings filled with Doctors. Upon entering the friendly staff announced the daily specials and invited you to seat yourself. The menu is small with soup, sandwiches & salads. The table next to me had salads and the portion size was ginormous! I decided on the daily soup special, Italian Wedding and the Foxy beef sandwich.

The waitress indicated this sandwich was her favorite. The soup was great. The little meatballs were made with Italian sausage. The Foxy Beef had Black Mustard, a first for me. The Black mustard had a sweet/sour flavor and packed a punch on the palate. The roast beef was soooooo tender. I've never had such tender meat for a sandwich. Over all the Saucy Salamander was a pleasant stop and a fantastic lunch. If this App had 1/2 stars I'd have given 4 1/2 stars!

This is a tucked-away little gem (only for breakfast and lunch) that serves above-average food. Good for lunches with friends where you have (or want) lots of time just to talk and refill your coffee.
