Pranzi Catering

I don't usually write reviews, but Pranzi is an exception. If you want to be STRESSED out even more for your wedding, then by all means, Pranzi is the catering service for you. The lack of communication and organization by the staff and wedding coordinator was absolutely unacceptable. Photos of the cake design, decor and all the details leading up to the wedding were provided and talked about IN PERSON. Yet, when Pranzi showed up with an undecorated cake and with 2 meals missing, they basically answered with "well I'm sorry you feel that way".

I asked for a small refund for the cake which was $75 for a 6inch cake that was not decorated, and the two meals that I paid $90+ for that were replaced with dishes from olive garden. I didn't think that was asking for much considering the amount we paid for the catering service. I was rudely blamed for their mistakes and they did not care what I had to say since they already got their money.

I hired Pranzi for my wedding. They handled mostly everything- catering, flowers, chairs and the cake. On my wedding day the cake was delicious, chairs were pretty and the flowers and decorations were beautiful. However, there was a major problem with catering. At the tasting we had the steak and salmon. The steak was cooked medium well. The owner and I discussed preparing the food the same way at the wedding. However, on the day of my wedding 6+ plates were returned because the steak was cooked rare.

A few people in the wedding party returned their food and still received it rare. One of my bridesmaids didn't eat at all. A few others said their steak was over cooked. I'm not sure what the issue was with Catering, but this was disappointing and embarrassing and it cost $100.00 a plate. One of the Events Coordinators from Pranzi was there and we discussed the issue.

I was told the owner would be informed. I sent 2 emails to the owner and never heard back. I only received a response when I emailed someone on the team. Aside from the issue with Catering everything else was smooth.

Another GREAT catering job from Pranzi. Last night had a graduation party for my daughter and ordered all the food from Pranzi Catering. I order their finger sandwiches which were far from finger sandwich. You couldn't fit anymore into the buns if you tried hard. The Italian finger sandwiches were in my opinion Italian grinders. The sides were AMAZING I ordered the owners famous pasta salad, which was the best pasta salad I'd ever had, tortellini salad and a special grilled potato salad with grilled vegetables all were amazing. Ordered specialized pizzas and calzones, again amazing. I'd highly recommend Pranzi catering for any event. Thank you Pranzi, my party was a big hit! Almost forgot also order 7 layer dip, much larger pain then I expected and like everything else, well worth the money!

Pranzi is the one-stop shop for all of your wedding needs! We originally scheduled a call with Lisa (owner) at Pranzi to simply be our caterer but after our phone call we realized Pranzi could do it all - cater, event planning coordinating, decor, florist, general wedding advice etc. Event Planning, Coordinator, and Wedding Advice: Lisa is simply fantastic - her commitment to excellent service / delivery in all segments of the business is impressive.

As a CPA by profession, I was definitely more of a control freak / overly detailed Bride and Pranzi never let me down. Her and her team are incredibly organized and responsive. I'd call or send an email and would always get a response right away. Lisa even called me on her personal cell phone a few weeks before my wedding when I was stressed / worried about potential COVID restrictions affecting my big day. Lisa's reassurance that my wedding would be amazing no matter what the circumstances really put me at ease.

And she was right - my wedding was so incredibly perfect and seamless! I honestly could not believe how smooth everything went and how great all of the Pranzi staff were. From the chefs, bartenders, servers and coordinators - they were all so professional and genuinely seemed happy to be there to help coordinate our special day. Food: We went to 6 weddings this year in RI with various different caterers and our wedding food (filet, chicken piccata, gnocchi) was hands down the best.

Our wedding guests still haven't stopped raving about it and wish Pranzi had their own restaurant that they could go to! Decor and Florist: When planning my wedding Lisa asked me what my vision was and encouraged me to search through Pinterest and then send her some pictures for inspiration and that she and her team could basically make anything I envisioned a reality.

I ended up with a vision of a winter wedding with unlit Christmas trees at the alter, winters garland on the table with candles. Because Pranzi handled the decor and flowers, everything matched perfectly - even the accents on my cake! Thank you again to Lisa and her team for bringing my wedding vision to life!

Thank you Pranzi for the BEST wedding we could have ever asked for. After touring venues last summer during the height of Covid restrictions we gave up on that idea and decided on hosting a backyard reception instead. I have to say I was very unhappy at that time to change my expectations and settled in to find all of the necessary pieces myself. And then I found Pranzi.

They had everything we needed in house run by an absolute pro, Lisa. We consulted with Lisa and found out they had beautiful modern rentals and decor, great service and delicious food - all for a beyond reasonable cost in one place. I can't believe how lucky we got. My family is very busy and having a company like Pranzi was just so convenient. Donna was so accommodating to our requests even down to the last minute brunch we decided to go through with.

Our food was fantastic and the tent and decor was beautiful. I ended up enjoying the backyard planning experience more than I probably would with a venue, getting to choose everything custom to build a vision, right down to the napkins! I would definitely recommend Pranzi again and again. Thank you!

I have used Pranzi multiple times for catering events at my work and they are friendly, accommodating and punctual. The food has always been delicious and served hot. I highly recommend them.

The staff at Pranzi is amazing! So easy to work with and flexible/accommodating. We've hired them for everything: tent rentals, catering (delicious!), flowers, cakes (also delicious!) for numerous events and they've always done a fantastic job.

Pranzi catered my wedding on the 18th of this month and they were INCREDIBLE. From the start with booking all the way through the wedding Lisa, Donna, and Kelly were amazing to work with. They were there (promptly) with any questions we had, saw (and executed) our vision, and helped make the wedding planning process so much easier. Katie was our Event Manager day of and she along with her day of team hustled and made the day run so smoothly, I couldn't have asked for a better team to make our wedding happen. Thank you Lisa, Donna, Kelly, Katie, and team for making our wedding such a great experience!

We cannot thank Pranzi enough for what an amazing day our wedding was. We were a bit nervous starting to plan a wedding at a venue that was just a location, and from out of state. From the first very first conversation we had with Lisa and her team, throughout the two years of planning and to the final day we were always assured that every detail and logistics would be handled to perfection.

We had the pleasure of working with Kelly Jackson as our day of coordinator and we cannot recommend her enough! She helped coordinate the day of schedule, rentals, personal decor, catering and the florals for our beautiful day. Kelly's calm and positive demeanor throughout the day made our whole process enjoyable and like she was one of our friends helping us on our big day.

We didn't have to think of or worry about anything the day of and she consistently reassured us that everyone would run smoothly and it absolutely did! Throughout the past year with COVID there were a lot of uncertainties for many couples and companies, but Pranzi was right there to answer any questions we had and reassure us that our wedding would be handled. Kelly, Lisa and the whole Pranzi team exceeded all our expectations and we highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Very unreliable booked a tent, Tables, and chairs over a month ago and they cancelled the week of.

I was considering working here for this company as I have been a chef for 16 years and was looking for work after not being able to work with Covid19. 3 weeks ago I went in for an interview. I saw their kitchen and it was a disgrace, filthy, no one was using sanitary practices, if I worked for the city I would have shut them down. Work conditions were like a sweatshop for food and the food looked cafeteria grade not high end catering.

There were "wasthed" sheet pans with food still on them. I am posting this because I walked out, I would be scared to order catering from this place. I do not recommend eating food cooked from here based on the cleaning practices I saw my hour there. People didn't wipe down there stations and when they did it was with dirty dry rags. I was disgusted.

Pranzi was great for my sons wedding over rainy memorial weekend. Weather could not have been worse for an outdoor field wedding under tent. Service and equipment were spectacular. Tents were clean, elegant and top quality. Fully equipped with heat, lighting, dance floor. The bad weather had no effect on the event thanks to Pranzi. Highly recommend. Entire staff a pleasure.

I first heard about Pranzi from the owners of Tyrone Farm, and when I photographed a wedding there, I was so blown away by the professionalism and care that Nicole and her whole team had! There are just some catering companies that have workers that just don't seem to care about the honor of serving guests and vendors, but I'd have to say that the Pranzi team was so great at taking care of the needs of the guests, and the couple! They also did the cake, and florals, in addition to the awesome food!

The team at Pranzi was nothing but FABULOUS throughout the entire course of planning our wedding. They were extremely communicative, timely, and organized. They answered every email with reassurance. Lisa and Donna gave me creative inspiration and ideas with every step of planning for my elegant backyard wedding. They have a ton of inventory from linens to decor to platewear!

My guests can't stop raving about the food and drinks, as well as the service. Donna had a new drink waiting for me as soon as I finished one. Pranzi literally made my wedding vision come to life on the day of and I could not have done it without them!

Pranzi Catering has gone above and beyond for my daughter Giorgi and her fiance Anthony. We had our tasting tonight for their reception dinner. The staff treated us like we were family. THE FOOD, OMG, THE FOOD WAS EXCEPTIONAL, FANTASTIC, FABULOUS oh let's not forget DELICIOUS. We had a great time the bride n groom to be and the grooms parents and us the brides parents. WE BONDED TONIGHT over the best food a beautiful table and ended our time with coffee and DESSERT the bride n groom picked out.

I cannot express myself enough about PRANZI'S 5 Stars from each of us. Thank you PRANZI'S Catering & Events for a fantastic night! NOW COME ON WEDDING DAY GET HERE ALREADY.

Our entire experience with Pranzi was like a dream. We are so grateful to Lisa and her hardworking team for throwing us the best party of our lives - our wedding. Food was our number one priority and they absolutely delivered! Now, nearly six months later, our guests still rave about it. They couldn't stop talking about the Del's lemonade Pranzi served in pretty glasses as people arrived.

The appetizers and our signature cocktail were also a big hit. For dinner, the portions were incredible. No one left our wedding hungry, that's for sure. From the trio salad to the pasta course (what can we say? We're Italian!) to the mouthwatering mains of lamb, risotto, and chicken -- everything was cooked perfectly and hot. We skipped cake so Pranzi also set up a gelato bar for us. Shoutout to the girls scooping gelato - everyone said they were super nice!

When we received our wedding pictures, we were honestly disappointed there wasn't enough photos of the delicious food. We decided to celebrate the wedding at a private residence and Pranzi took care of every single detail. Through them, we were able to rent beautiful wooden cross back chairs, tables, linens, the whole nine yards. It was an incredible experience to walk into our reception area to see our huge clear top tent, dressed up with twinkle lights and chandeliers.

It was magical. We appreciated the Pranzi team coming out to our property multiple times to plan with us and essentially, build a wedding venue entirely from scratch. Admittedly, we were skeptical that a company could do everything well - catering, rentals, and coordination? Pranzi absolutely aced it. Our wedding day was all outdoors on the hottest day of the year(!) yet the entire staff was smiling and friendly the entire time.

We had heard so much advice about hiring a separate wedding coordinator but Lisa ensured us that it was unnecessary. She was right. Our day-of coordinator through Pranzi was an absolute rockstar. She made sure we were fed, happy, and never without a drink! We simply can't say enough good things about Pranzi.

I needed help for a dinner party for 25, and Pranzi was definitely the right choice! They came and set up the chafing dishes, provided salad, rolls, the entrees and sides, as well as china and cutlery. The food was absolutely delicious - salmon, risotto, and two vegetables. Even though the hot food was in the serving dishes for an hour and a half before dinner was served, it was moist and hot.

They accommodated food sensitivities with 2 non-dairy dinners. And additionally, we didn't have to wash the dishes. I thought the prices were reasonable as well. I strongly recommend Pranzi.

We contacted Pranzi to help with our wedding when we had planned on having it at a wedding venue. On a whim, we changed our minds and decided to have our reception in our backyard- and when we told Lisa in our initial meeting, she didn't even bat an eyelash and said let's do it! Throughout the whole process we found everyone at Pranzi to be professional, detail-oriented, and responsive. Lisa was incredible- she was patient when we had no idea what we were doing and also thoughtfully gave us suggestions on how they could make our vision come to life.

She was also really mindful of staying within our budget and giving us several options of ways to cut costs when we needed to. It was also so nice to have a one-stop shop for everything; Pranzi handled our catering, furniture and tent rentals, flowers, day of coordination, etc. They even built a hot air balloon photo booth based on a picture I found online that came out identical.

The only thing we had to do was hire a band and show up! On the day of, Marie was our point person and she was amazing- she knew every important detail- right down to making sure I always had my favorite drink in hand and packed up extras of my favorite pie. We can't say enough good things about Pranzi, and have gotten SO many compliments from friends and family who are still talking about how amazing of a night it was!

If you're looking for a catering company, I would HIGHLY recommend Pranzi! Food: - We chose the statler chicken breast and Parmesan crusted filet mignon. Both were INCREDIBLE and we were so excited to have leftovers for the days following. It was no small feat to pull off such tasty dishes- they turned our run down garage into a kitchen and it tasted as good as when we went for the tasting!

Our experience working with Pranzi Catering was out of this world! Laura was our wedding coordinator behind the scenes leading up to our reception. She helped us put our ideas, wants, and needs on paper which led to seamless execution. The food at our reception was delicious. Pranzi was even able to create a Vegan meal literally site on scene for someone who had recently changed their food habits.

I still get compliments on the food months later. I have no words for how thorough, accommodating, professional, and friendly the staff at our party was. The hundreds of candles we had kept blowing out and without direction they continued to try and relight them all night. I could go on and on. If you need catering, use Pranzi!

I do not even know where to begin so I am going to start from the beginning. When my fiance (now husband) walked into Pranzi's show room located at 10 Rosario Drive in Cranston, RI and we met with Lisa I knew within the first 10 minutes this is the place for us. Lisa knocked our socks off. She knew what she was talking about, served us coffee and made planning a wedding the easiest thing.

Once we booked pranzi we dealt with Donna and she was Amazinggggg. She dealt with my obsessive emails, helped me through the process and when the week of my wedding finally arrived calmed me down when I felt overwhelmed with normal wedding details. The day of the wedding Lisa was there setting up, came up to me and hugged me. She introduced me to her daughter Nicole who made my day absolutely beautiful. Nicole took care of every detail!

My family and friends were blown away. My parents and godmother have nothing but wonderful things to say! All of our guests loved the food and the drinks! The food we had was delicious. From the drinks, to dinner to the late night snack everything was delicious! These ladies brought our ideas to life. They worked well with all our vendors and words cannot express how lucky we are.

And we just want to acknowledge all the hard work these ladies put into our wedding! And I cannot forgot the wait staff because they were fantastic. They were all professional and made my guest feel welcomed. Thank you Pranzi! Bryan and I were so lucky to have you guys and thank you for making our day wonderful! Let's plan another party soon! Haha!

And a P.S. to my review-the manager who was so rude at my niece's wedding, She had the nerve while I and the bride's mother were trying to repair the cake to say "It's the Bride and Groom's Wedding and they DON'T want the cake! It's their day and they should get what they want! " This is after the Bride's parents had spent a lot of money, and the Bride and Groom specifically requested me to make their cake for their day.

They didn't want me upset, which is why they said not to serve the cake after it was ruined. The Bride's mother immediately spoke with her daughter and husband, that said "yes, let's do it!" The Bride's mother and I immediately presented it to them, photos were done ( perfect!) and then we cut the cake ourselves and served it. It was delicious! We were treated very disrespectfully.

I cannot day enough about Pranzi caterers! If I could I would have given it a 10 stars! Working with Karen and Lisa in the preparation for my daughters wedding down to every detail they thought of and guided me through it! To Karen who did all the beautiful floral designs which was truly the most beautiful flowers and arrangements incorporating the colors we asked for!

To the servers and chef and the bartender and to all the many workers who orchestrated the appetizers to food to dessert. amazing! Also Ingrid was the coordinator who was right on top of everything! If you ever even question who to have to make the day worry free and relaxing please don't even hesitate PRANZI. every guest commented on the amazing food that was better than many fine restaurants we have been to!

I can't say enough about the ease and piece of mind this company gives you! The guest said it was by far the best wedding ever! Thank you again everyone who worked so hard to make my daughters day one of the most memorable days she could ever ask for.!

How have i never reviewed this place?!? this is one of my cake shops in the world! they used to be down the street from my parents house but they have moved further way, that will really freak out most rhode islanders! their cakes are HUGE and they are TASTY! the prices are reasonable, i dont think there is one that is even just mediocre. i like the coconut creme and tiramisu is to die for everyone has been very friendly and helpful i have had their food at a few catered events and its all awesome definitely try them out!

Thank you thank you thank you to the Pranzi team for all of the hard work you put into my wedding! My husband and I hired Pranzi to cater and help plan both our rehearsal dinner and wedding day. Lisa, Donna and Nicole are a fabulous team. As a bride who was not always on top of things, Donna was right there every step of the way and was so patient with all of my many questions.

The entire planning process was super organized and I felt in very good hands. Nicole took such good care of my husband and I on our wedding day, I honestly don't know what we would have done without her! It rained last minute and our ceremony was originally planned to be outside with an indoor reception. We ended up moving the ceremony inside as well, and I can't thank Nicole and her team enough for how special they made it look. : The food is incredible to boot, and the florist did such an amazing job with our flowers.

I was very particular about my bouquet and the garlands. Their florist took my vision and made it even more beautiful than what I had been picturing. I highly recommend Pranzi to anyone who is looking for a wedding caterer--these guys know what they are doing!

My husband and I used Pranzi to cater and organize our wedding a few weeks ago on Cape Cod at Bourne Farm! From start to end, they were prompt, responsive, professional, understanding and a great partner in helping make my vision come to life. When I walked into the barn and tent on our wedding day, I was truly speechless. It was everything I ever imagined and more, and that was largely because of the hard work the staff at Pranzi put in to help make my ideas a reality.

The food was amazing, and my grandfather even said it was the best filet he has ever had! Lisa, Nicole and Donna helped every step of the way with the planning and execution and Karen, their florist, made the most gorgeous arrangements that were exactly what I envisioned. Thank you Pranzi, for helping to make my wedding our best day ever!

This review is solely for a wedding consultation experience via phone and email and one tasting in December 2014. Pranzi was on our (new) wedding venue's short list of recommended caterers. After some research of Pranzi and review of their menu we were really excited to meet with Pranzi and do a tasting. We are planning our wedding from a different state and first communicated via e-mail and phone with Lisa. Conversations about the food went as I expected, though she seemed eager to jump into floral plans and other wedding planning services that she could offer.

We were still almost a year out from the wedding, so after securing the venue we were taking it one step at a time and just thinking about finding a caterer. I told her that we were not thinking florals yet. Of course I was thinking, "let's see how the food is before you start planning my centerpieces" and my gut instinct was correct. My fiance and I flew home for a short trip for the holidays and did some wedding planning. Pranzi was the only caterer we were planning to meet so really did have all of our eggs in one basket.

The tasting was very underwhelming. We are opting for stations for our reception and thinking of incorporating unique stations to suit our tastes. That day we tried: Fresh Mozzarella with Native Tomatoes and Fresh Basil: Tomatoes were more white than red. When we brought this up, we were told this would not be an issue for our summer wedding. The caterer we ended up choosing did not have trouble presenting fresh and ripe produce for our tasting. Had the representative mentioned upfront the issues they were experiencing, my opinion might have been different but it was passed off as a perfectly fine salad. Caesar Salad, carved meat station, pasta station: Nothing to write home about.

I can prepare in my home equal or better and was looking for something more impressive for our wedding guests. But, no major complaints. Interactive Wok/Asian Station: I buy better frozen Asian meals at Trader Joe's. It was a very unnatural orange color. This was the lowest point of the tasting for sure. Our rep. suggested that it may be improved for the wedding, but I could not imagine how. Cannoli Station: Reminded me of canolli I would buy in a grocery store.

I am not the type of person who complains about food at restaurants or is a brideszilla - most other vendors have found it easy to impress me, so I was very surprised by how unimpressed I was. The biggest disappointment of this tasting was that it took up our precious type and left us worrying if we would choose a caterer on this particular trip to MA/RI or if we would have to purchase more plane tickets to find a caterer a different trip.

My fiance, parents and I spent the time in between courses whispering (bantering) about who would be the honest one and tell someone that we were not impressed. Finally it was me that had to do it. Lisa suggested we should make adjustments and return for another tasting, but given our long distance planning simply did not have time to give Pranzi a 2nd chance.
