Awesome food! Meat stacked HIGH, and so yummy! Usually do takeout sandwiches, but they also have crab feast.

We are from further North so when we stumbled on Pit Boys on a visit this past weekend to Annapolis we were excited that it might be more authentic than what we have in Jersey. WRONG. I've had bad BBQ before, but what we got was just awful. They ribs were clearly sitting around in a warmer for most of the day (days?) and the "brisket" we ordered was nearly entirely fat.

Not like regular slices of brisket with more fat than normal. I'm talking almost exclusively fat with only a few small bits of actual brisket. The sauce is bad. The ribs are an embarrassment. The "brisket" is the worst I've ever had. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

Most of our crabs were delicious. We had to throw away about 5 out of 2 dozen cause they smelled like cleaning fluid and the meat was dark and shriveled. Also while waiting for our food, could hear someone in the kitchen yelling profanities at someone on the phone who was late coming to work. I feel for the owner in that situation but I shouldn't be able to hear it. Shrimp and hush puppies were great though.

Memorial Day weekend. '22 I've been within an arms length of their truck and the restaurant for years and never indulged until this weekend when I discovered annapolis seafood was closed. To my surprise they were remarkable good! Best crabs I've had in a minute. Memorial Saturday was busy so there was a bit of a wait-- 20-30 min ( a dozen large were 120 & steamed to perfection with J.O); we also ordered a Lb of steamed shrimp.) The crabs were not ridiculously hard to crack and were moist and succulent!

The large were about 5"-6" from what I could glean. Tables & benches were available inside & out. And the area relatively clean. Admittedly there was a bit of an odor inside, which can sometimes come from shells & refuse but if they stay on top of it it shouldn't be an issue; I think they were slammed Memorial Day weekend and will give the benefit of the doubt here as it otherwise was clean and they seemed to be on top of the tables. Will definitely revisit -sooner rather than later- and kicking myself for not stopping by all these years prior too!

Rich has been wanting to try Pit Boys and at our latest visit to our daughter's place he finally got his wish. We wanted to share and sample a lot of different items so ordered enough for a couple of meals. The restaurant looks like a typical crab house, paper covered tables, not a lot of fancy frills. We ordered some platters, each which come with two sides, plus some extras.

We ended with a feast! Jen and I each ordered the vegetable crab soup and a salad. The soup didn't look too promising but once I stirred it up and got to the vegetables and crab it turned out to be quite good with just a little spicy kick. My garden salad was way better than what I expected. Even Jen gave it a "wow" when she saw it. Rich and I shared it for lunch and had the leftovers for lunch the next day. Jen's Caesar salad was a little disappointing and I don't think she'd order it again. mainly because of soggy croutons.

For our proteins we had crab cakes, fried chicken, turkey and brisket. The crab cakes were very good, lots of lump crab with little filler. The turkey was delicious and thinly sliced. I didn't try the brisket as I don't eat beef, it was Jen's choice. But the fried chicken was the stand out for Rich and me. It was so good. Because we were sampling I just had a portion of the wing, but I would probably order it as my main meal next time.

For our sides we had garlic potatoes, mac and cheese, pasta salad and hush puppies. I only tasted the potatoes and they were good, I was too busy with my soup, chicken and salad to sample all the sides. With all we ordered there were still a lot of dishes we didn't try. The menu is extensive with bbq and seafood and sides. Next time we visit Jen we'll just have to explore the menu some more, but I won't be ignoring that fried chicken!

I had a real deli sandwich with freshly carved ham and turkey and all the sandwich trimmings. I can't wait to go back to try their barbeque and seafood. These types are restaurants are hard to find. So glad I stopped.

The food was okay. Nothing great but okay. The young lady taking the orders was absolutely amazing. Her knowledge of the fish was mind blowing. She's definitely knows what she's doing & loves it. I wish all young people had that attitude. Kudos to her parents because she's a great brand ambassador for the store. So, customer service over food here. It didn't even matter how tasty the food was because the surroundings & that young lady made the experience 100% worth the money spent.

Had a great pit beef sandwich for lunch the other day. Great value and tender juicy meat. The place was clean and the service was friendly. I'll definitely be back real soon

Worst BBQ tri tip sandwich ever! Tough, cold, full of fat, poor smoke. What a horrible experience. Yuck

Came here twice within my first week of moving to the area, I can tell it's gonna be a favorite! Not sure if I liked the barbecue, crab legs, or Mahi more. All of the above were delicious! Medium rare Mahi pictured. Will be seeing these folks again!

Best BBQ in the area. We love the atmosphere here, reminds me of the small town I grew up in. I definitely recommend this place. Tuesday's are the best with $1 beer night. 10/10 recommend.

We really need to stop here more often. Been here a few times for crabs and shrimp, couldn't ask for a better experience. If I'm not mistaken they're family owned and operated, they're all very friendly to their customers. Going to have to go back soon, now I'm craving crabs and shrimp!

Ordered beef brisket and open faced roast beef. The roast beef was nothing special. The brisket was a pile of very fatty meat. The Cole slaw and potato salad were ok, but pretty bland. I try to support small, local businesses. Unfortunately, we'll pass on coming back.

This review is in regards to our recent experience with crabs only. We reserved two dozen large crabs ($85 per dozen) this past weekend and were all settled at home feasting, only to find we only received 20. We called, and the girl on the phone told us we could come back to get the four. No apology. That was extremely inconvenient, considering we were in the middle of our family dinner.

We asked about a prorated refund, but were told they can't do that. So, she said she could give us a credit towards our next visit. When I asked how much the credit would be, she said, "I don't know, I'd have to do some calculations." to which I replied, "Okay, with the calculations, what would that be then?" She said "Like $12"! Way off.

More like $28 (without tax and without the tip we provided). She then said they would log it in their books for next time. We decided to head over there to get our credit in writing somehow, and she ended up writing $26, so it was still wrong. Still no apology for the inconvenience. I truly don't enjoy writing negative reviews, but I feel we needed to share this experience. We were very disappointed in this customer service. We have had other positive experiences at Pit Boys with their crabs, though. Hopefully this was just a one-off.

First time going there! The food was AWESOME! My hubby got the wings and I the turkey reuben! Perfect! The onions rings were awesome! So hot the inside burned my lip and chin when the onion fell out. Lol. Still didn't stop me for chowing down!. If you get a chance. Stop by and treat yourself to a wonderful meal! The staff there are awesome as well.

The ribs seemed like they were boiled before a bottled sauce was put on them. Possible cooked some place else then reheated at the restaurant. The crab cakes were alright, some shell and not lump. The sides were nothing to speak of. It seems they want to be a crab house and not a pit. Floor was slippery greasey, bathroom was clean enough. There was one young lady who was host, waitress, cashier, food runner, bar tender. She did her best and said she only makes $6 an hour plus tips! She was a gem

My wife and I drove through Annapolis on the way to Myrtle Beach just so she could have blue crabs. The well known tourist spots did not take reservations and had waits of over 2 hours. Found Pit Boys on the way back. When she said "I am in Heaven", I knew we picked the right place. Excellent food, and the portions are large. Great service. Decent prices. We highly recommend and will be back.

Where to start. The BBQ beans are the worst ive tried. Baked beans in a can taste 10x better. The brisket sandwich was insanely dry and over cooked. I would give a 0 review but service was nice.

Stopped in this hole in the wall for a great open faced beef sandwich. Perfect is the right word for it. The shrimp on a garden salad was also excellent! Strange how it is usually these small local places (they've been around over 25 years) are the places we usually miss - which isn't a good thing. They also had crabs available. They looked very nice.

To say that the ribs are underwhelming is an understatement. The place should be called Oven Boys because there wasn't even a hint of smoke on these ribs. They were flavorless and had so much fat. The ribs tasted like the ribs at a big buffet. This is not a BBQ place. Also, the place was empty and I had to wait 25 minutes to get my carryout order. The staff was moving like molasses and couldn't have been less enthusiastic if they tried.

My new favorite restaurant. I ordered crab cakes. I got two sides hush puppies and French fries. Hush puppies were homemade. My eating partners ordered shrimp tacos and a fish sandwich. Everything was delicious. I look forward to returning next time I am in Annapolis.

We placed our order over the phone and the process was pretty simple and quick. We ordered two scallop entrees, one soft shell entree, a full rack of ribs and the Wednesday special of pulled pork and fries for $7.00. The entrees all came with two sides and instead of fries with the special we got onion rings for an up charge. The food was ready within 30 minutes and packaged well.

Sorry I didn't get a picture of the sides--but from everything we got it was very good; Mac n cheese, cole slaw, broccoli (vegetable of the day), mashed potatoes with gravy and onion rings. Everything was good. As far as the entrees go; the ribs were very tender and well cooked. The bbq sauce is a vinegar base and had very strong flavor. The scallops are bay scallops so they were small but it was a decent portion. I've never had soft crabs before--I will definitely get them again. These seemed lightly fried and were delicious and easy to eat. Overall good experience and wouldn't mind returning again if someone else requested it

Our first time going here. My husband got a Groupon for food from here. We got there and there was no one there. That should have been my first indication something was wrong. I walked in, with my mask on, and the first thing that hits you is the rank smell of rotting crab meat. I couldn't stand it. I had to walk out. Its like they mopped the floor with leftover crab water.

It smelled gross. My husband still ended up getting 4 brisket sandwiches with the Groupon while I waited in the car. He said they OK and that it wasn't worth the drive. Mission BBQ was better.

It was my first time trying Pit Boys for crabs. I called ahead for a half dozen of large male crabs which were $80/dozen. When I arrived, I paid and was told to wait in my car and someone would bring them out. The crabs were well seasoned but I was upset with the size and weight of the crabs for the price. They were very light and most of the legs were off of them. I'm on a mission to try at least 10 new crab spots this season and this is number 2. It was okay, but I'm not that impressed.

First of all I used the yelp app to order my food. Super simple even allows you to add a custom tip and also provides you with real time tracking to know when your food will be ready. It had been a while since I ordered from Pep Boys, but I had a hankering for a good pit beef sandwich and fries. The pit beef sandwich was moist medium rare and warm to the touch, exactly the way you would want it served.

It had a smoky flavor and had the perfect meat to bun ratio. Flavor was magnificent. One of the best pit beef so I've had in a long time, even during the quarantine they're putting out awesome products. The french fries in my opinion stole the show, even though they probably came out of a frozen bag from your local grocery store, where in the earth do you find crinkle cut fries now days.

They were piping hot and extra crispy with a little salt and pepper on them made the meal perfect If you're quarantined and scared to be around other people, place your order ahead using the yelp app, watch the timer and then enter the store, which has been perfectly social distanced inside take your meal go home and enjoy.

If I could give no stars I would. I had ribs they were just okay, I had old bay chicken wings they were disgusting. The mac and cheese was dry and some of the noodles were hard as a brick. The onion rings were the only thing that was eatable. Please go somewhere else. RUN RUN RUN
