Ward Melville built the Old Field Club in 1929 as a swim club for the residents of Old Field South to enjoy. Over the years we have evolved into a private tennis and beach club, retaining the charm and grace of our proud history. The Clubhouse offers meals on Friday nights that showcase the culinary talents of our staff.

Having our wedding at the OFC was a dream! Not only is the venue itself stunning, but the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the entire process and we really can't recommend them enough. Sabine and Dan helped answer all of our questions along the way. The food was PHENOMENAL and they even allowed us to select a specific beer to have on tap.
They helped make sure the flow of the day was flawless. Everything went smoothly, all of the decorations were placed perfectly as we asked, and they coordinated with all of our vendors which made our lives so much easier. Thank you so much Sabine, Dan, and everyone else at the Old Field Club! You made our wedding day perfect.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Old Field Club two weeks ago and it was amazing! Dan & Sabine were helpful in answering all of our questions prior to the wedding and then helped to set up everything exactly as we envisioned on the day of. The Old Field Club is absolutely gorgeous & we couldn't be happier that we had our wedding there. All of our guests kept saying how beautiful everything was and how delicious the food was as well. We'd highly recommend OFC to anyone!

My family's new go-to venue! I highly recommend The Old Fields Club - not only did I fall in love with the venue the moment I walked in, but the staff is absolutely incredible. Even during the peak of Covid, Sabine was and has been amazing. She is extremely down to earth and is a breath of fresh air when it comes to visiting wedding/event venues - especially during Covid.
She felt like a friend immediately. I recommend the venue and Sabine to everyone I speak to who is looking at venues on Long Island. We loved it so much, I booked my Bridal Shower and then my sister booked her Wedding. If I saw it before my wedding venue, I would have booked here too! Even on a rainy day the interiors are absolutely stunning - you don't get a lot of that on Long Island.
With 4 sisters in my family, I foresee a lot of baby showers, communions and other events in our future! Thank you to Sabine for making this process so seamless! We appreciate you!

Our wedding ran so smoothly here! I couldn't have asked for a better venue. They were very accommodating to our style and wishes. Stephanie answered all questions I had promptly and was so kind! The food was delicious and service was very professional. The style of the venue is rustic and doesn't need a lot of decorations. Just a beautiful ceremony and reception. Had the best day of my life here! :

Beautiful location for a wedding! We were here for a night wedding, and the location was absolutely stunning even though it was raining. The space itself is quite small in comparison to other venues, but it is organized well. It only really became crowded during cocktail hour as everyone was in the bar area as they were converting the other area back to tables and chairs. Other then that, people fit well in the area. The food was delicious, and the staff members were all attentive and quick. Great spot for a wedding!

This venue is beautiful and rustic. I went here last night for a wedding and the food was delicious and the scenery cannot be beat. Shout out to our server Christina, her service was top notch and she was so attentive the whole night from refilling our drinks to getting anything we needed, we were so lucky to have her as our server and for the wedding party overall. Highly recommend this venue for any event

We held my daughter's wedding ceremony and reception at the Old Field Club in late July and it was flawless. The venue is elegant and understated and the deck on the water can't be beat for cocktail hour. The food was fine restaurant quality, rather than the typical catering hall type food. My guests raved about the food choices at both the cocktail hour and buffet.
All of the dishes were excellent but the stand outs were : lamb chops, flank steak, short ribs with grits and bacon wrapped scallop appetizer. What truly sets this venue apart was the excellent service we received from the entire staff. Stephanie, the director of catering, even bustled my daughter's dress for us, which was not that easy to accomplish. Carlos, the Maitre D, and Serenity, the bridal attendant, went above and beyond in order to ensure that the bride and groom enjoyed every minute of the celebration. I highly recommend this venue.

Was one my #1 place for my wedding until we got there. The entire tour was rushed. Was only there for 20 minutes. Deb, the saleswoman, was snarky and not welcoming. Said she "knows how to take our money." The view was nice but does not make up for the price per person with nothing included. We asked where accommodations were and she said at Stony Brook University and our guests can take the train here. Really?
Other places we viewed were very personable, asked questions, and got to know us. She didn't at all. Maybe if they had a better saleswoman, we would have thought differently. We drove an hour there and were there for a short time. Wouldn't recommend at all. But definitely only for locals.

My husband and I had our wedding here and I cannot stop raving about this venue. We could not be happier that we chose the old field club. Everything was perfect from the food to the staff to the location. People kept asking me how I found this unique place. If you want an elegant wedding with a rustic charm look no further because the old field club is a one of a kind venue and it will make your wedding dreams come true.

My husband and I had the pleasure of going to a wedding at the Old Field Club last weekend. What a gem! Because we knew very few people, we had the luxury of relaxing and taking it all in. Everything was exquisite. The food, top shelf alcohol, waterfront views, music, and the decor were all top notch. For most people, what can really make or break a party is the service.
Our waitress (I think her name is Yvette) was second to none. She was well keep, attentive, and always smiled. In the corner of my eye, I couldn't help but notice the Maitre D'. He seemed to be everywhere, making sure everything went according to plan. Overall, I give Old Field Club, two thumbs up!

Having attended a wedding here on Sunday, these are my impressions. Yes, the scenery from the outside deck was beautiful. We even saw three swans glide on by. Yes, the scenery in the banquet room was beautiful too. Gorgeous tablescapes and very pretty lighting with chandeliers and accent lighting on the exposed roof trusses. Yes the food was excellent all evening.
Some really wonderful bites (high marks for the tuna ahi and stellar scallops) during the cocktail hour and a wonderful plated dinner. It's worth mentioning we had a choice of four entrees - NY Sliced Sirloin, Chicken Asiago, Crispy Red Snapper, and Vegetable Quinoa. My fish was the size of my sneaker! But to my mind, the most impressive part of our experience was the service.
There were so many servers and clearers (most of them young) who worked so hard, they made us feel as though we were royalty at a state dinner. They were all dressed in black, and they were buzzing around the banquet room as if they were a swarm of wasps. When they brought out the dinners, they poured out of the kitchen in a black clad singe file parade.
And to finish off the evening, as the guests were leaving through the lobby, there was a popcorn bar, where you could fill up a small snack bag with your choice of six different popcorns- check out the photo. I had Zebra popcorn with dark and white chocolate drizzles. A fittingly sweet way to finish off a sweet evening.

If you grew up in the Three Village Area like I did and call it home, you've probably been to the OFC at least ONCE in your life. I've been there several times over the course of many, many years, for catered events and parties. Truth be told, I've never actually hosted a party here of my own but I have attended several. They usually do a pretty good job of taking care of the guests, the food is usually pretty good (as far as catering places are concerned) and is kinda' off the beaten path close to the beach. It's still kinda' quaint and serves as a staple in the Three Village area. I'm glad to see that they're still around and looking to host dinners with wine pairings.nice touch guys!
