2014 - It was with mixed emotion that we announced we were moving from our Keystone location of 37 years. We merged with Pat Flynn's restaurant, a long time family owned, local restaurant. We truly have an abundance of love, appreciation & gratitude for every customer and we look forward to serving you for many years to come in our new location.
Saturday mass, birthday celebrations, class reunions, communions, confirmation all celebrated there. Sometimes without the kids we would slip over to Murphy's for a great filet. So when the two came together.

Old school family steakhouse. Food quality is decent, nothing outstanding. Service was very good the two times I've visited this month. Lunch specials are typically good. You've had worse, but you've also had better.

Another great evening at Murphy's! We've celebrated with three after-graduation dinners over the past 7 years. Each time food has been delicious and staff welcoming and accomodating. can't say enough about this restaurant!

I once rated Murphy's as 5 stars. For 25 to 30 years I have eaten there regularly but in the past year the quality of the food and service has gone from 5 to 2 stars. The only reason they get even 2 is because of Dave Lowe on the piano on Wednesday night. I do not know if the cooks are different or what but the food quality and selection is at best mediocre. The steaks are fatty and never cooked to order like in days past. I'm not really sure if I would recommend it as a great steakhouse. Sorry Murphy's---- you get 2 stars!

Wow what an awesome spot. Should of checked this place out sooner. The food is amazing and at such reasonable prices. I got the 8oz filet ($26 comes with 2 sides) cooked medium that I would put against other $50-$60 filets around Indy. It was cooked perfectly with a good crust. The mashed potatoes missed on flavor but I wasn't there for mashed potatoes.

Definitely will be back. Service was great and wine bottles are half off on Wednesdays. Ambiance is nice and not that it was an issue for us (we are old souls) but it was an older crowd there.

Great spot for some upscale food for a reasonable price. My husband and I stopped in as we had heard food was good here. I had the salad, salmon and French fries, all of which was amazing. The salad was ice cold and fresh and salmon was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. My husband loved his filet and it was cooked perfectly. We had a bottle of wine too, which on Wednesday was half off.

All of this food for only $60 before tip. We were also able to enjoy the live music during our meal. Staff was fast and friendly and gave good recommendations on the menu. Depending on what you prefer for ambience, this may not be your cup of tea. But if you're looking for a great meal, laid back atmosphere and smaller prices than the usual Broad ripple restaurant, this is your place.

We're new to the area and live walking distance, so have checked it out several times in the last few months, it's one of the few sit-down dinner restaurants near here. The food has been reliably delicious. I will agree with everyone else, the decor is outdated, the clientele is large, pale and 50+, and everyone seems to know everyone else. But the staff was welcoming, the food is good and familiar, and while it's not super cheap, the portions are large. Take Mom.

A little bit pricey but it is a steakhouse. The ambience was something of my moms or grand Palms house. We were probably the youngest people there which I kind of knew going into. The food was a little bit bland but again I think they're cooking and catering for the clientele. I honestly thought everything was super delicious I just need a little bit of salt and pepper. We both had ribeye steaks and desserts. I would definitely go back. This place is americana as it gets

The steak was very tender, but my wife had to send hers back for a little more time on the grill. Her sides were also messed up but they made up for it. It's a little pricey still even for the special.

I like this place a lot when I want a steak or prime rib and feel like I'm too good for a chain restaurant. I also like it because I'm always the youngest person there when I go. My wife said her vodka tonic was legit too.

I've been a fan of Murphy @ Flynn for quite awhile and they have never been unsatisfying to me. The service, the food, the atmosphere and the area is very nice and welcoming. I recommend All to dine here. They have a bar pianist every Wednesday!

I was in the area for a Yelp event so I like to explore other places. I have this restaurant saved in Yelp. I would have never spotted it from the street. I have passed this shopping complex many times. There are three sections. TVs playing sports, etc. A fireplace. A bar. To order takeout, I had to go to the bar. An unmasked, extroverted woman gave me unsolicited review on the food; she could have kept her words to herself.

I went in to order their daily lunch special of a $13 Cajun New York strip steak with two sides. I ordered tator tots and French onion soup. I pondered cutting my steak before leaving to make sure it was well done; however, I had other stops to make on my way home. I regret I did not check and had them cook to order. When I got home, I tried the toaster oven then had to get out my George Foreman grill. I read mixed reviews about this restaurant. For a steakhouse, it was nothing special but seems like a lot of elderly fans.

Ya know, I was a lil worried when I walked into Murphy's BUT this was some GOOD FOOD! There's no drink menu, it's awful dim, and dare I say a little dated but none of that matters when you have one of their burgers! We got an appetizer, main course, dessert, and a cocktail all for $100 roughly. Anyone who lives in Indianapolis knows that that is a killer deal! I will definitely be back! Good job! Oh yeah. My server was WONDERFUL. I can't remember her name but she was great.

First time eating here since COVID. Got carry out. Ordered online was super easy. Food was ready exactly when they said would be. Ordered potato skins, ribeye with onion soup and chili. All delicious. Fairly priced. Will do it again

Stellar establishment. I've been coming here since I was kid, long before it was Murphy's. If you want a home(y) atmosphere, great food, cheap beer, and a place you feel like you belong then this place is the jack pot! So great, strongly recommend

We go here for lunch a few times a week and the food is always very good. The service is also very quick and attentive. Makes it an easy place to get quick meal with people who remember you and treat you well.

I love this place. Great food across the board, quality bar and great service. Since I've moved closer to Murphys@Flynns, I have gone there for at least 1 meal a week. They are best known for their steaks and for good reason. You get a good sized steak at a very reasonable price. This is a favorite of a lot of older people, like myself, who enjoy their really good food. I've eaten everything from a ribeye, to their SanFrancisco Melt and was very happy.

I really like their French Onion soup. It's got a balanced taste without too much salt and velvety onions covered by pieces of toasted bread which is smothered with cheese. Don't miss this gem.

Good food! Slow service - as we all expect at this time. Table conversation can be difficult when band is playing. Crowd is generally 60+ in age. Bar islively. If I lived closer I would go more often.

The steak is out of the world great. I love this place. If you have never been do. I had Cindy as our server, she is the greatest hope you get her.

Really friendly staff and I keep coming back for the bar food (wings, tenders etc.) I was really disappointed in the steak though - it was just really bad. I ordered medium rare and it was medium well an just floating in a butter they top with after. A soggy over-cooked steak was disappointing. Everything else is great though! Love the vibe and the staff, just avoid the steak :)

An old style steak house that is craving some updates and renovations. I ended up here with my husband on an early night out to dinner just because he has driven past and figured it was worth a try. We were seated quickly. The interior looks straight out of a 1990s restaurant with green leather booths and worn out carpet. It didn't help that the average age in the restaurant was senior citizen age. I'm not complaining about that though - I assume it's for the extremely reasonable pricing on the menu.

But updates needed on the ambiance for sure. We ordered a stack of onion rings which came on a tall cone and were perfectly crispy. Will definitely recommend those! I was feeling the hooiser spirit and ordered the tenderloin sandwich. Per usual it came twice as big as the bun and I took half home. Breaded and cooked well. Fries were crisp. My husband had a steak and mashed potatoes. Steak was cooked to order and the mashed potatoes looked like they were under a heat lamp for a while. For the pricing at this place, not a bad experience.

Stopped in for dinner. Fried catfish was on the specials. Don't really know what it tasted like because all I tasted was the cooking oil. Might I suggest a draining rack with paper towels or something to take off the excess cooking oil? I like the place, great service, great prices but too much cooking oil.

My wife and I eat here fairly regularly she always has the 6oz filet special, you won't find a better filet in the city for the price, they have wilted lettuce salad which is excellent.

Great food at a down home place that feels like an extension of your own kitchen. Great pizza, steaks, and seafood. Bring a sweater old timers because it's a bit chilly from time to time. Wait staff is second to none! Check it out! You'll like this place.

Love Murphy's! It is a long time staple in our Community. Even many of their staff has been there for many years. They are consistently good - all around - food, service, prices and friendliness. I always get a steak and never go wrong. Steak is one of their staples.

This place has a lot of potential for renovations - part of me is happy that it's kept it's Irish looking roots and seems homey like an Irish pub would but the other half of me thinks they could certainly use an upgrade to the building. They do so well on St. Patrick's Day and I wish it was like that all the time but it's a standalone establishment in the middle of neighborhoods so most people miss it or prefer to go somewhere where there are plenty of dining options around the area. I've always had a great time here!

The Guinness flows and I'm always full. My Irish in laws LOVE coming here and we can eat as a giant family and have the nicest servers every time we come here. Everyone is able to order something different off the menu and the hot bacon oil salad is AMAZING. I'm still a bit confused on the naming as there use to be a Murphy's Steakhouse on Keystone/Fall Creek which I believe they once owned, but now it's a Jamaican restaurant.

Then this establishment is named Murphy's at Flynn's but I've heard some call it Pat Flynn's. I'm sure there's an explanation but that could use some clarification.

If Yelp had 3.5 Stars available for ratings, you would see Murphy's as an example. Somewhere between "Yay! I'm a fan" and "A-OK", they do a lot of things right, but there are bigger issues down the road that are going to take a major makeover to keep the place in business. The 4-star stuff: The food was really good, surprisingly so, and reasonably priced.

I ordered the chicken wings (small batch) and though the skins weren't crisped at all, the flavor (BBQ for me) was delicious and the chicken was really tender. I also had a Reuben and house chips. The Reuben looked like it was going to be really dry, but surprisingly, it was moist and tender and tasted really good. The chips were house made and had a lot of crunch, but were unsalted, so pretty good.

My wife ordered the tenderloin (it comes breaded) and it was moist and tender with just a light amount of seasoning to keep it from being bland. The 3-star stuff: The service was obviously understaffed, though the folks working were hustling the entire time. We had a tag team of servers trying to cover our table as the place was crowded on a Tuesday lunch hour.

The staff was pleasant and though they would occasionally disappear from the floor, did a serviceable job on keeping the wait times down. The 2-star stuff: The place looks like it will be out of clients in ten years. I am 60 years old and was the second youngest diner they had.by about ten years! This place does not draw younger patrons because of the way it looks.

The interior is wood paneled with dim lighting and has the suspended ceilings that went out of style a long time ago. If they don't do a major makeover, they will gradually lose their clientele due to attrition. They also need to update their website name (www.murphyssteakhouse.com) and Yelp name to reflect that they aren't an upscale Steakhouse.

There is nothing elegant here.it is a casual restaurant with sandwiches and soups, and yes, they sell steaks too. No white linen tablecloths here. So, if I could, I would give them a 3.5 Star rating. I'll be nice because the food was better than I expected and the understaffed servers were trying hard.4 Star rating from me. Review #2351

This place is new my near job, I have passed it several times heading home but never thought to stop in, it's at the corner of north keystone and allisonville Road. I got invited to go by some coworkers after work one day to celebrate a project being completed. This is a nice place! I was pleasantly surprised, at the friendly staff, we quickly got a table and drink orders were taken right away.

The menu is pretty standard bar food, sandwiches, steaks, soups and salad. We decided to all share some appetizers, they were tasty, I know that may sound weird but I think you can taste when the oil has been changed or not and your mushrooms taste like cauliflower. This is a place I would go again, I appreciated the family feel and it also seemed like there were some older regulars that were treated just like family.
