Muriale's has the best Italian food. I Love the lasagna, the Taste of Italy, and the Egg Plant Parmesan. Awesome. Be sure to stop in when you're in Fairmont, WV.

The food was excellent. I had the lasagna which was outstanding. I also really enjoyed the salad (which had an incredible variety of items in it from spicy olives to pepperoni), and the fresh bread. We never had to look around for our waitress as she was very attentive. In fact if I was looking for something negative it would be that there were so many wait staff that it was almost dizzying watching them move from table to table refilling drinks and checking on people.

Fantastic food and incredible service! Try the spaghetti and meatballs. Best meatballs I've ever eaten! I've been eating at Muriales for 35 years and I've never been disappointed once!

Highly recommend. Sauces are very flavorful. My husband got a dish with lasagna, ravioli, and house made meatball. I got the spicy Italian sausage hoagie with all the trimmings and spicy peppers. It was wonderful just a little kick don't be afraid of the spice. We had a bottle of the Valpollicella which paired great with everything and not too expensive.

Ice tea is fresh brewed. Cheese bread is fresh made on a thick pizza looking crust with a side of marinara sauce. They definitely don't skimp on the cheese. Servers are very friendly and fast.

Great service from the bartender on an unusually busy Tuesday evening. Home made sauce with GF pasta was excellent Photo of peppers and sausage appetizer didn't last long enough to photograph

The salmon was the best salmon I think I've ever had! For the gnocchi, it was good! My dad said he really liked the sauce. We also got the cheese bread and then you get 4 pieces of bread too with butter. So it definitely fills you up!

We stopped here for dinner on a Thursday evening. Easy to find and lots of parking. We were seated quickly and the staff was very friendly. I had the lasagna and spaghetti combo and my wife had the 10 pizza. Our food came out quick and hot. Portion sizes are very big. Our server was attentive and friendly. The restaurant is much bigger inside than it appears and has a good atmosphere. Our two meals with water and tip was just under $50

If you're looking for mediocre Italian this is your place. I don't get why everyone raves about it; probably because it's the only restaurant in Fairmont.

If you are within an hour of Fairmont, you definitely need to stop here for a bite. You will not be dissapointed! Great food, spectacular service, decor and the history. Such a great menu and great drinks. Each of us had something different: meatball casserole, linguini with white clam sauce, Lobster ravioli, spicy sausage rigatoni and the bruschetta. All were top notch! fenomenale is the only word that describes this place Very happy experience at Muriale's Italian Kitchen

Muriale's is an hour and fifteen minute drive from our home in Pennsylvania. My husband and I go there at least once a month. Truly authentic Italian food. I highly recommend the lasagna, minestrone soup, their lemon berry cake and espresso. Their homemade bread is simply warm slices of deliciousness from heaven. They recently changed owners but their recipes have stayed the same. My friend drives up from Myrtle Beach, SC every month and we always go to Muriale's for lunch. Worth the drive if you live in the tri-state area!

From out of town and out of state I took my daughter, granddaughters and their friends as a last minute dine out option. Finding out Muriales doesn't take reservations and told on the phone there wasn't a wait for a table for six of us we headed out. Soon arrival we were told it would be a 30 minute wait. After watching several couples being seated, and obvious regulars it turned into a 45 minute wait.

After being seated we were treated to several delicious appetizers. The server said because of the unexpected wait time! It really surprised all of us and made the evening quite special! When traveling to the Fairmont area next I hope to revisit this fine restaurant.

In my opinion this is the BEST Italian restaurant in West Virginia, and one of the very best I've dined in across this entire nation! And its a cool place, almost like a museum taking you back to another place in time. Historic and famous photos and autographs are everywhere. The owner greats everyone coming in and checks on their tables. This is old-school Italian and OMG is the food good. My Meat Ravioli with one Meatball and sauce was to die for. The salads and bread a nice accompaniment. FIVE STARS! I can't wait to come back!

With family visiting from Ohio and Texas and looked this place up on Yelp on a Sunday early afternoon. Parking lot was almost full of local cars so I knew we were on the right track. I had the absolute best salad I have EVER eaten. Asparagus salad with shrimp. The shrimp were gigantic and the salad greens were tasty and fresh, no iceberg in sight!

My hubby had the lasagna, which he loved. Atmosphere was very much like a museum with lots of local flavor added including memorabilia from Mary Lou Retton. What fun! Don't pass this up if you are having a hankering for Italian and near Fairmont, WV.

I have to give muriale's four stars for the atmosphere and their amazing service. With that being said - I've found myself disappointed with their sauce - way too tomato pastey. Meat balls are like a meat loaf floating around in your pasta. I LOVE their salads. The home made dressing is light and tangy. I also like that they provide bread to the table.

I will start by saying if this place took reservations I would surely award a 5 star. The place is neatly decorated and the staff was friendly in every area. I really enjoyed the complimentary warm bread, the bruschetta was tasty, and the cheesy bread was good with a red sauce to dip. The salad was also nice with a touch of pepperonis. The white wine by the glass was a perfect Riesling - not too sweet or bitter - generous pour.

The veal parmigiana was perfectly breaded and prepared. It was a lot so I got to take it home and have it the next day! I also need to mention about how the Soda tasted. The perfect blend of carbonation which is hard to do. I just kept drinking it. I think I got really full and couldn't even think of dessert although the options sounded so good. I really felt so nice and really enjoyed this trip a lot and it was a nice night out. I also always have the most handsome guy to eat with.

Our first visit, after hearing great things about this place. It was fantastic! Everything was so delicious! Staff was outstanding as well, very friendly, and attentive. Drinks never got below half without getting refilled. Our first visit, and there will be many more! Yum!

I grew up in Fairmont and every time I visit my family, I make a stop at Muriale's! I haven't been to Italy yet but this place has the best Italian food I've ever had the pleasure of tasting, like anywhere. The manicotti is my favorite dish and the house salads are so fresh and delicious. We shared the Brushetta for an appetizer which was stunning and also delicious.

My husband ordered the spicy Italian sausage hoagie and loved it. Did I mention the service here is also top notch? Truly one of the best restaurants I've ever been too. This place deserves some awards!

What a beautiful establishment! Such wonderful service from the moment we walked in. Christina our server was a delightful kind young woman, at the top of her game. The food was superb! The salad was so flavorful with pickled onion and little sweet peppers. Two kinds of olive. Salami, pepperoni and cheese. The house dressing is impeccable. All of the flavors blended beautifully.

The aggressive, rich red sauce on the spaghetti was amazing and the hearty meat balls were like morsels of heaven with every bites. The fresh Italian bread complimented the meal perfectly! I will definitely be eating here again on our next visit to Fairmont! I would highly recommend Muriale's Italian Kitchen if you're looking for real authentic Sicilian food!

We found this place on our way to shenandoah National park and definitely loved it! It's close to the road and we didn't deviate at all. Foods were great! We loved eggplant parmesan and italian dressing! Place is very cozy and beautiful. It's also spacious. Tase of italy is also great and enough for two people.

Very happy with my first order here. Found this place on Yelp and took a chance and it paid off! I got a meatball hoagie to go. Delicious! Didn't see interior of restaurant as I got curbside delivery after a call to place and order.

There is nothing bad to say about this place! Best Italian food in WV! The staff and atmosphere is very friendly and inviting with generations of family members to greet you. The homemade meatballs are ginormous and DELICIOUS! The pasta is also homemade and you can't go wrong with the gnocchi. I could eat here every night, it's not just a special occasion restaurant!

Got curbside today. Super friendly and helpful staff. Food still out if this world. Oh how I wish I could get here more often. Truly, I have to wonder if there is better Italian food anywhere in this country. Got lasagna, DP got eggplant. DP felt like the lasagna was more in a class of its own than the eggplant was, but I thought they both were phenomenal. Eggplant had both pesto and ricotta hiding under the mozzarella, which was a beautiful thing.

I felt like the meat sauce and marinara were distinctly different (as opposed to just throwing meat in at the end), and I couldn't even pick which was better. The ONLY thing I would change is to have more of the marinara with the eggplant. Cannot say enough good about this place. After seeing how great the eggplant is, I'd also love to try their chicken parm.

I'm not sure if you associate WV with Italian food, BUT YOU SHOULD. It's a culinary destination for the cuisine (and I'm from the Bronx), and no place does it better than Muriale's. Wow this place was such a huge surprise in the best way possible. Best eggplant parm I have ever had, solid gnocci, and the world's dreamiest tiramisu outside of Italy. Husband loved his meatballs. This place is such a gem.

Was visiting relatives in Fairmont and absolutely had to have Murial's for dinner. Ordered lasagne while others got spaghetti, house salads, and other sides! The order was ready on time, hot and so flavorful. The lasagne was just as I remember -- fabulous! Highly recommend you enjoy Muriale's while in Fairmont!

Stopped here while on my way to a game across WV. I have seen the sign for this place coming into to Fairmont before but never had a reason to stop. To my surprise the other guys in my party picked it bc it had outdoor dining. This place is huge. As in 6 big rooms that can handle parties, groups, teams, etc. the walls are covered in family photos, pictures of the city, signed memorabilia, etc.

We sat out on the deck overlooking the Tygart River. Really a nice view and ordered drinks and I ordered the bruschetta. It was a mammoth portion so everyone got to try some. Really good so much that I actually ate it with the olives. For my entree I got the chicken parmigiana but also was looking at the fact they have meat ravioli. Rare. When I go back I will get it.

The chicken was breaded odd to me but I can't explain it. Pasta was a little overdone but the gravy was great. Perfect style for me. Would come back - waitress was really attentive and kept the refills coming. Highly recommended I will be back

Today's meal brought to you by Muriale's in Fairmont, WV. It's called The taste of Italy. It has lasagna, rigatoni, ravioli, and one of their famous meatballs. It also comes with an excellent house salad and fresh baked bread. There's so much to say about this meal that I don't know where to start. The salad had a few different types of olives, some roasted red peppers, pepperoni, pickled onion, and my favorite salad dressing, blue cheese.

The main dish had the thickest cheesiest lasagna I've ever had. The handmade ravioli had a perfect mixture of filling and noodle. The meatball, made with pork beef and veal was simply fantastic. If this dish wasn't so big, I certainly would have asked for one more. (There are individual pics of each part of this dish below) The building is filled with tons of sports memorabilia, but not over the top.

There's very little open space on the walls. Frank Sinatra playing in the background makes for a great dining environment. My server today, Trevor D, checked back often and asked me about my travels. It's always nice when I can tell that someone's genuinely interested.
