In 2022, The Meat Shoppe Inc., which was founded by Rick and Judy Keller, began it's 38th year. The on- and off-premise catering business is located in the Gering Civic Center. Our location allows us to host groups from 10 to 700. The Civic Center, located on The Old Oregon Trail, averages more than 55,000 attendees per year in the City of Gering.
We will also cater any special occasion and bring the food to your office, home or event site. The largest catered event was the 2014 Cattleman's Ball. We served prime rib, augratin potatoes and BBQ green beans to over 3500 attendees.

The Meat Shoppe, Inc. is a 38 year old, on- and off-premise catering business founded by Rick and Judy Keller in 1984. Rick is a master meat cutter and has been cutting since 1974. This experience allows Rick to process all the steaks, roasts and ground chuck fresh for the Meat Shoppe menu. Our family-recipe garlic sausage, Seasoned Roast Beef, Shredded Beef, Pulled Pork, and Rib Eye Steaks are also made fresh by Rick. In 1991, the Meat Shoppe opened it's first banquet catering location. Until that time all the meals had to be served at the client's location.
