Want one of the best muffalettas in town? This is the place. I know that's a big brag, but they definitely can bring it on. The wine selection is pretty good. You can tell somebody that knows wine works there. Also their homemade dips and salsa (just to name a few items) is to die for. This is not a sit down and eat place. But if you want some of the best sandwiches, hamburgers and muffalettas you really need to try it out. Caution, if you're like me you'll spend way too much money waiting around on it. Everything in that store is awesome.

Fantastic does not even begin to explain our visit here! The selection, staff, and quality is unbelievable. We stopped in from out of town looking for a local butcher and boy were we blown away. Such a hidden gem. The steaks we bought were phenomenal and I would definitely return here for grocery or quality items to prepare a special meal for. Thanks again and please keep up the great work you do! A true rarity these days!

August 9, 2021. I just stopped in this market for some fresh salmon & Cajun chicken. My experience in this market was AMAZING. I interacted with 4 of their employees & the customer service is top notch! The employees are a breath of fresh air! And the quality of what they carry is superb!

Best and outlying sausage and black oak sausages. Great butcher and deli.

Pretty good selection of game meats, frozen, but can't find it anywhere else in town that I can find so worth the 20 min. Drive to there. The pimento cheese is delicious!

Not a worthy store front for the selection of items in store. Everything from wine to may potatoes to prime cuts off beef. Don't miss this stop if you want to find a great selection of helpful people.

Great service. Got kebabs for Father's Day dinner. Really helpful and gave good recommendations. Pirates Gold marinade was good!

None of the employees were masked even though most of their customers were. This was despite the fact that only 28% of Louisiana residents are fully vaccinated against COVID. This shows complete disregard for the safety and health of their customers. My family left and spent our money at the Brookshires across the street, where everyone was masked.

Best little market in town. Friendly employees who go out of the way to help. Ross, the owner is a top notch guy. Good selection of products and foods. Freshest seafood in town.

I found this gem on my way out of town. Not only excellent food, excellent customer service. The guys behind the counter prepared some food for me to eat on the way home. Their grilled pork chops are amazing, and the bison sausage is absolutely top notch. They have almost everything you could want, it would be a mistake to pass this place up.

My go to place for fresh cuts of meats! They have several great items there as well as great customer service. Appreciate the fact that if you are looking for something, they will properly steer you in the right direction. Will I return. You bet!

We wanted to try something new that we never had and after getting some T-bone steaks the other day we seen the Deli that had sandwiches and omg let me tell you the Ruben was outa this world and my husband got the BBQ roast beef sandwich y'all hands down the best I have had since the casino deli an real pickle we will be back and FYI the meat on them sandwiches are holy moly bigggg

Best meat and fish in town. Grab and go food is excellent. Some of the speciality groceries are a treat to shop. Service is second too none.

The outside of the building doesn't do this store justice. They have a variety of interesting products, from ink black pasta to quail to stuffed shrimp. The cashier was particularly friendly and the whole store was clean and well run.

We always have a awesome experience there. Bought 2 cheeseburgers and they were amazing. We love their kickin chicken we eat it once a week. My 6 year old loves it too! Everyone that works there is always so nice

Me and my co worker bought a $100.00 wine and cheese basket( for our boss) and let me tell you when she came back to work with it, it looked like a $30 basket. Had a bottle of wine probably $15, 7 grapes, a small green apple and 2 small blocks of cheese. We were originally going to do a small $45 basket but thought this would be a lot better. The worse part about it, when the guy was ringing her up he said "ok you got the $45 basket" then saw a note for $100.00 and rang it up as $100.00.

I do not know if we were played or what. I am all about small businesses and supporting them because I work for one, but I will not being doing business with them anymore and will spread the news. This could have been a fluke but I highly doubt it. Plus the customer service wasn't all that great when we called to order.

Very well prepared food. Have always had very good service. Love to order their platters for cocktail parties, finger sandwiches are very good and shrimp platters, always ready to pick up on time. I also love their Cajun shrimp salad!

Absolutely love the sandwich deli! The Reuben, New Orleans Shrimp Po-boy, and the Muffuletta are excellent, I visit at least once per week!

Absolutely love Maxwell's! The food is amazing and the staff is always so friendly and helpful. They are great with large catering orders as well as being an easy place to run in and pick up last minute entrees for dinner or snacks for a party.

This place is the best local market in town hands down. Unlike other markets who have turned into more of a sit down restaurant this place remains a true local market. I have been coming to this place for the past 5 years. I walk in and I am greeted by smiles and always immediately helped by the guys behind the counter. About 3 days a week I either go in for fish, steak, or chicken.

The fish is always super fresh, always a great selection just make sure to go by as early in the day as possible as sometimes they run out of their popular items. On a few occasions they offered to make a fresh batch of dip if they don't have any out at that moment. Never had a single problem with this market. I highly recommend it me you will not be disappointed. Try the stuffed artichoke portobello mushroom caps, the goat cheese and andouille sausage stuffed mushrooms, shrimp and crab Acadiana, crab & brie dip and any of the fish.

This is a cute little store where they serve gourmet food, and have a bunch a little things like wines, Salad dressings, condiments, a little butcher shop, and southern food necessities. I had the pleasure of trying out their salad bar. The Caesar salad was simply amazing! You buy it by the pound and then add and how much chicken you want, they package it up with dressing and you are on your way.

It was really fresh And I loved the fresh cooked chicken and crunchy romaine hearts. The marinated grilled veggies were also very delicious. I only ordered half a pound but I wish I could've taken a lot more. It had a medley of vegetables tossed with garlic. The corn salad was also delicious too. They say it's gourmet here, but it's very inexpensive.

I guess for the area it's gourmet, the compared to calm in California it was relatively inexpensive. When in Shreveport, I will visit for sure. I'm sure the other food is good as well.

This could be a great place if they offered more. Wish they carried grass-fed meats but they do not. Just doesn't live up to its potential. Not enough variety of fresh meats and fish and the produce is usually bare or nonexistent.

Maxwell's is a hit or miss place. I love the people there. They are friendly and personable. I really like the concept of the Market, but I find that there isn't much to buy there. The produce section is usually pretty bare and the meat section is often limited in both selection and quantity. I just wish that the market offered more items overall. I'm always going in wanting to buy, but I usually end up coming out empty-handed due to lack of selection. I know this is a supply and demand thing, but really, I do believe they have enough of a customer base to expand a little.
