In 1998, after three years of planning, Todd Grantham and Blaine Stuckey, old friends with similar interests decided to turn passion into vocation. Grantham had been brewing for more than half a decade while Stuckey had been piling up restaurant experience. When they teamed up with menu guru Jeff Neels, director of restaurant operations, in 1999, the trio had all the pieces to create a truly unique brewing/dining experience. Together they bought Fort Wayne's Munchie Emporium with the goal of creating a brew house.
Services
Distilled from our own Good Karma IPA by Three Rivers Distilling Company, Still Mad Hopped Whiskey features a distinct flavor derived from Good Karma's use of hops. Available neat or on the rocks. Our handcrafted root beer is brewed with malt sugar and brown & white granulated cane sugars blended with our natural root beer extracts and vanilla. All of these ingredients harmonize to create this delicious, rich and especially creamy glass of homemade soda.
Here at Mad Anthony Brewing Company, we are dedicated to making quality off-the-wall beers fun and accessible for every type of beer consumer: from the craft beer novice to the complete hop-head. In an effort to reward these fellow beer enthusiasts, we have created the Mad Anthony Mug Club. Regardless of whether you walk on the wild side, or choose to enjoy one of our quality standards; this program is for you.
It's all about the beer. Sounds simple, but it's not. Too many times breweries start out with a great ale or lager, get a following, grow and forget what brewing is all about. At Mad Anthony Brewing Company, we will never forget; because at MABC, it's all about the beer. That's the way it was in the late 90's when three friends decided their love of great beer and good food was more than an obsession, it was a calling.
Mad Anthony Brewing Company, Inc./ Shigs in Pit BBQ are interested in opportunities to work together to support educational and/or community events, fundraisers, and other charitable efforts that build and strengthen the counties in which we serve. Our restaurants are setup to host Community Fundraisers, which allows a percentage of sales from your guests during the event to be donated to your organization. Please contact the General Manager of the restaurant location best suited to host your event for information and scheduling.

There was some mixup with putting our order in, but overall a good experience. The beer was decent, but I was disappointed that the flight of beer I ordered did not have a list to go along with it so I could know what I was drinking. Food was very good. Service was just ok. We have eaten here before and will come back again sometime.

Don't waste your time here. We stopped because they rated 4 plus stars on Google. The place is run down. It didn't have typical brew food. The food had no flavor. The waitress recommended everything, which should have been a clue. The chips and salsa had a salty seasoning on them. It was horrible and the menu didn't mention the seasoning, or I would not have ordered them.

My husband ordered Jambalaya and it tasted like fettuccine noodles with tomato sauce on them. The shrimp tacos each had 2 shrimp on them and the pineapple salsa was flavorless. My husband had a beer and it was just okay. I will not return. I guess that we must just have amazing breweries with excellent food in Michigan. This one was the worst brewery with food that I have ever been to.

Went in for St. Patrick's day and it was awesome! They were busy but the service was great. The food is so delicious! My favorite is the fish & chips and the raspberry lemondrop martini. We come here all the time, but I had to give them a shoutout for rocking the holiday so well - love this place!

Menu is going down hill! Many of our favorites no longer offered. Would not fill an offered growler that was on the menu. Left after dinner to have growlers filled at Summit City Brewerks. -UPDATE.after talking with a rep from Mad Anthony, they were able to make the growlers right, and let me know the menu is being looked at by upper management. updated to 4 stars for being a stand up company and working to make things right.

Cozy brewery. Parking. Good food and good brews! I had the pale ale (Ol' Woody) and an IPA (Good Karma), I liked both very much!

I came into town for a concert and the hotel I was staying recommended this place with glowing reviews. It wasn't far from the venue, so. why not. I walked in, was told to sit anywhere, the place was maybe half full at best. I sat down and 2 different servers walked by me with zero acknowledgement for almost 7 minutes (they each had tables right by me). Finally, a 3rd server pops by.

They can tell I'm clearly starting to be annoyed. I place my order. A burger with no tomato. Sandwich come out with more tomatoes than burger on it (it was a patty melt). My 7 year old nephew can make a better sandwich. I asked for my check at the same time I received my meal since I had somewhere to be. They knew this. It took another 5 minutes before they returned to pick up payment. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

Second time here, the food has been amazing both times. The pickle fries are some of the best I've ever tasted and the house made pork rinds are always fresh and crackling.

We enjoy all the Mad Anthony locations, service has always been good as well as the food. I highly recommend them for lunch or dinner and even a date night. I would suggest to them since they have beer cheese and crawfish dip. Try a night where you have crawfish po-boys and shrimp ones too.
