This place is one of my all time favorites, incredible service, the food is just outstanding! I'd swear they have the best lemon cake in the state, but don't let me sway you from the rest of what they offer, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but my go to dish is the sear duck breast, medium rare. The duck fat potatoes are to die for!

The garlic shrimp pasta was delish! Very rich with lots of large shrimp cooked perfectly. Portion was also huge and you get a salad and garlic bread with the meal! Great service as always and great price point for such a good meal! One of our favorites along with the duck and sea bass.

Legends is an old, comfortable dining experience in the University area. They do excellent holiday pre-fix dinners that are sold out often months in advance, and casual, upscale dining otherwise. What we found is an interesting and varied menu, and wonderful house made desserts ( always a plus in my book). Consistency is the only problem we encounter.

On Valentine's Day I had an excellent duck breast with a wine and cherry reduction sauce. Just perfectly prepared. The following week met friends there for dinner and I ordered the duck again. Just lacked any flavor at all, and no sauce or such but certainly not what I'd anticipated. Most of the time it's good enough, I can't even make it to dessert.

This time, I just took home the rest and got their cherry cobbler. It was just like dessert my grandma would make. It's a nice location and they often have live piano music. Overall, it's an asset to Norman's finer dining.

Fantastic meal, you must have changed chief from 2 years ago. We were disappointed a while back on how bad the food had gotten and stopped going. Server was a 10! Place was packed on Saturday night @ 6:30pm. Keep up the good work.

Legends Management this will be a multiple rating 1/2-5 stars. 1/2-star reservation not honored- reservation was on 2/26/22 @ 6:15pm, arrived at 6:10pm gave my name. 2 separate couples arrive behind us and was seated first & they stated no reservations. Another group of 3 arrive with no reservation and was seated. The hostess ask my name 3 times and each time our table would be ready shortly!

When we were seated at a 4 person table there was an empty 2 person table next to ours? Waiter gave us the menus took drink order, brought drinks, we ordered the appetizer special cajun gumbo & the duck breast dinners, Waiter said they were out duck-wow! So we ordered the Crabcake topped tilapia dinners. The gumbo arrived- one bowl only by a waitress & told her we both ordered the gumbo- several minutes later I got mine from our waiter.(gumbo gets 5 Stars- service gets 1star) Then we get 2 plates with 2 crabcakes on each followed by the salads? Asked our waiter to see the menu again and I showed him we ordered the meal, he apologized and said he put in the appetizer! Manager/Hostess came over and apologized & the order was being rushed. (The crabcakes appetizer were free). "Service has gone down to a 1/2 Star"!

My wife had to ask for more coffee-second cup- waiter refilled her cup with "COLD" coffee! Manager/Hostess stopped by to let us know our dinners are out in about 5 min. I informed her my wife's coffee refill was served cold, she fixed that problem. Our dinners arrived and we give the Chef above "5-STARS"! This was our 39th Wedding Anniversary & the worse dining experience ever as far as service-1/2 Star, Food was Excellent-5 Stars!

Also 5 Stars for the piano man! The online reviews were in the 5 Star range stating to order the Duck, so much for that! Your hours for Saturday were from 5pm to 10pm, by 6:30pm you were out of Duck, maybe if we had been seated on time there may have been Duck for us?.

Legend's is such a special restaurant in Norman. It has delicious high quality food for a great price. We love all of the food and our favorite dishes are the chicken medallions with caper sauce and the duck breast. The atmosphere is both beautiful and quaint and the restaurant has so many charming characteristics that are so rare to come by. My husband and I love this restaurant and 10/10 recommend dining here.

Love the food here every time I visit. Always tastes fresh and the service is great. The atmosphere is very familiar and the staff takes great care of their guests. Brooklyn J was the best server I have had in a while and went out of her way to make it feel like a special occasion. I appreciated the extra care for detail and awesome experience. Definitely a place worthy of family occasions.

Everything was amazing. The atmosphere was great, customer service perfect, and food delicious beyond belief. We had crab cakes as an appetizer. For our entrees we had seared duck breast, chilean sea bass, and caesar salads. We drank an old fashioned and a french 75. We also ordered a lemon creme cake and a butter rum bundt cake that we took to go. Everything tasted so good, but our favorites are the crab cakes and the duck.

We went to Legend's tonight for the first time. We had a wonderful time and the food was amazing! We had the following items: Onion Soup Gratinee, Caesar Salad, Blue Cheese Wedge Salad, Oklahoma Catfish, Pork Schnitzel, Chicken Crepes, Lemon Cake, Creme Brulee, and German Chocolate Bread Pudding. Everything was amazing! Lacie and Robby were wonderful and the piano music added so much to our evening. We had always thought this was a place for special occasions but eating at Legend's and experiencing the wonderful hospitality makes any day a special occasion!

Worst place I've ever gotten food in Oklahoma. Chicken was like rubber. Bread was hard. Tiniest slice of cake ever. Mashed potatoes were good and that was it.

It was wonderful! We went on Feb 13th. The crab cakes were amazing, the duck was melt in your mouth perfect, and the chocolate dessert was the best I've ever had! The service was amazing as well!

Best place to have dinner on a Friday or Saturday evening, if you adore dining while a talented pianist makes beautiful music, and might even be persuaded to play your request! Atmosphere is lovely, classic, and comfortable, staff are friendly and professional. The food is always spectacular paired with an extensive wine selection, full bar, and amazing home-made desserts; I tend to order mine for to-go after the luxurious wining and dining! Reservations are probably encouraged for the weekend.

Everything was amazing! The drinks took a little time but worth the wait. Everything had so much flavor and the live piano just set the mood. Definitely plan on returning. Something for everyone on their menus, and don't forget dessert. This was the duck breast in port sauce and I ate every bite.

Me and my wife eat here every Valentine's Day. The food is great and the dessert is amazing. I will say though, this year they didn't decorate for Valentine's Day nor had the piano guy, so it didn't feel the same. The lamb is what I always go for.

If you're looking for a high quality meal and traditional steakhouse, this is the place for you! The steak is phenomenal, the service is great and if you have a sweet tooth, the lemon cake is a must! Skip all the trendy restaurants and go straight to the best Norman staple for quality dining!

We have been coming for years and Legends' is consistently great. We have also always had great service, even when we booked a last minute reservation on a very busy Friday night last weekend. We love the salad bar, which is offered with each entree, or you can get on its' own. We also always order the artichoke dip. The seasonal special bone marrow tenderloin is delicious - we are hoping that they make it a staple on the menu! Brunch is also great, be sure to get the chive scones that they provide at the beginning of the meal, they are to die for. Overall, great food and service, would highly recommend. Ask for a table in the "balcony" area in order to have more space.

Forgot my food. Waitress did not acknowledge after I told a different waitress I was still waiting after my family received there dinner. 10 mins later she came by and apologized it was their mistake. It would have been avoided if she would have followed the delivery of our food and been more attentive. Instead she was either talking to the other patrons or was no where to be seen. The cook did a great job on the food, poor service.

This place has really dropped off! Shrimp Cocktail 1/3 of the size. Served without base plate. Wedge salads serviced with core of lettuce used on both salads. Bacon on salads was old and hard! Sea Scallops $23 for three Scallops used to be 4 or 5 for this price! Lamb chops $32 for 3 very small Chops, maybe 3 ounces of meat! What a joke! Ice tea was watered down!

Service was a 2! Had to ask for everything! When you pay $95 for two people without cocktails you expect 5 star! This place is cutting in all areas. The two deserts we had for $7 a piece were a joke. They we so small and pitiful and over microwaved, almost sent it back. I think they have a child Managing this place now and she is not watching what is coming out of the kitchen!

We are guests here once a month and if we don't receive a comp meal from the manager, the way it used to be, we won't be back! There is a new Ranch Steak house being built on 24th ST near Crest Market. If Legend's does not wake up they will be out of business! I thought it was strange to see only 4 tables being full at 7:30pm on a Saturday night!

Now I know why! Very sad that greed has set in this place and they will Pay the price in the end! I will drive 45 min to go to Mahogany's at Quail Springs and get a real FINE DINNING EXPERIENCE before I go through this again at Legends, not fine dinning/ only high costs restaurant! Jay!

The service was excellent. Really southern hospitality! The waiter was very attentive, from start to finish. When I first entered the restaurant, I saw the delicious desserts front and center. Very small, lovely restaurant. We asked the waiter about her the food choices, she gave great advice, from the good to the wine selection. The food was very good, and the price is was great! I say if you ever visit Oklahoma go here first!

In a dining landscape dominated by Saltgrass; Red Lobster & BJ's - it's great to visit an old school and traditional local restaurant. Legend's has everything from the surly bartender, to the over-eager college student server, to the house mom overseeing the entire operation. Mix-in a musician playing Johnny Cash & Allman Brothers hits on a piano in the middle of the place - and you are set for a unique dining experience.

Food - Try the artichoke dip - it's really good FYI - say hi to Gregg Kennedy, the piano player. Although we stumped him on most of our song requests - he kills Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash! Really interesting guy with a story or two about life on the road chasing gigs.

A tradition in Sooner Country since the 1960s. This place is a like a chameleon, that can serve as a great and sunny lunch spot on game days, but a more classic and romantic dimly lit dinner spot once the sun sets. It's nice enough in here to feel like someplace classic, but not overly stuffy. Especially with college students moonlighting as servers, who are friendly and officious but also endearingly inexperienced in certain elements.

The salad bar is tasty and delightfully retro, though you might need to remind them to replenish certain elements. The Mac and Cheese entree is some of the best I've had in Oklahoma, and definitely deserves the "famous" descriptor that appears on the menu. This is one of the awesome old school places that displays their house-made desserts behind glass as you enter. They'll all tempt you, to be sure.

But the Coca Cola cake served warm with vanilla ice cream definitely "takes the cake" (pun intended) as far as the desserts are concerned. You'll order one with multiple spoons to share, and swiftly realize you actually needed two or more portions, it's just that good.

I love this restaurant! The staff is very personable & attentive. The restaurant is nicely decorated, creating a warm & cozy ambience. The lunch menu has an excellent variety of salads & sandwiches. I had the Caprese Grilled Cheese Sandwich which was delicious! I plan on returning here for a meal when I am back in Norman.

Came here on a spur of the moment type of situation late at night (I believe it was like 10:15 or so) and was dressed very casual (maybe a bit under dressed to be honest) but at the end of the day, if you have the money to pay the tab, that is all most people care about lol. We entered and saw a small group leaving which were all 50 somethings and seemed happy with their experience.

We were greeted after a couple min by our server and asked if it was dine in (I was a bit confused by the Q. because I was not aware they had take out lol) we said yes, with a bit of a puzzled look and the server sat us right away. There were maybe 4 other tables full which shocked me to be honest because of the time and it feels like any place aside IHOP is closed at 10pm in Norman (aside possibly something with a bar as its main reason patrons are even in the establishment).

On to the food: My bf ordered the wedge salad and I opted for the salad bar (mistake by me, it wasn't what I was anticipating. I felt it lacked a lot for being "famous" and a focal point for this restaurant) and a steak and I had the stuffed chicken, which for me was way too sweet and I was unable to really enjoy it. It was good, but just not what I had in mind.

My bf really loved his steak though. I had a taste and it was one of the BEST steaks I have ever had. And I have had some tasty steaks. So kudos for that alone Legends! We ended our meal with their famous chocolate cake which our server butchered to death (it was half in tact and the rest was a chocolate mess piled high on the plate) but my bf is far less picky than I am and decided it did not mean a thing and proceeded to fully enjoy it.

I tried it and it was quite good. The cream was the best part for me. Service was okay. Nothing to write home about but maybe next time that will change. We shall see. Overall a good experience here and I plan to return and try some of their other menu items and maybe dress up a tad more, but as stated, it was really a spur of the moment choice. 3 stars with room for a update and possibly upgrade to my rating.

We celebrated our anniversary here. The atmosphere was wonder, the service excellent, and the good was outstanding. We had artichoke spinach dip, petit filets, salad bar, yummy bread, and coca cola cake for dessert. All wonderful! Free internet too.
