Lee's Deli Lee's has been a family owned business since 1983. It started on Kearny Street in San Francisco as a simple deli known for fresh oven-roasted turkey sandwiches. Over the past 37 years, it evolved with the times, adding bagels, breakfast sandwiches, salads, burgers, hot Chinese food, and most recently - our house made dim sum. We currently have several locations in the San Francisco Financial District and one location in Menlo Park. We have a varied menu to satisfy our customers' breakfast and lunch cravings.

We used Lee's Deli for catering two-days worth of meetings. From start to finish the team at Lee's did an excellent job with communication, ease of ordering, and execution of delivery and set-up. Everything was delicious, the team was well-fed for both days of meetings. I have already had two other departments from our company reach out and ask who I used. I highly recommend using Lee's. Their menu really does have something for everyone and any occasion!

I've ordering a few times so far and I'm very happy with the food, the easy ordering, the delivery. and the great customer service. All the xiu mai are my faves except for the chicken. Neither my son nor I liked the sticky rice and the rice balls. Pork and cabbage is yummy. So are the veggie dumplings. I hope the owner reads these reviews because I have a request. I'd love to have pork xiu without shrimp.just made with pork. It's not that I don't love the shrimp.would just like them separate. I plan on ordering food at least every two weeks.

This has become my treat since they now deliver to Contra Costa, I live in a remote town & they even graciously make the drive (I tip driver, because it's a hilly dark road). Their dim sum is so easy to warm up for WFH lunch. Every time I think I ordered way too much, that I need to make room in freezer, but literally I love to eat it daily, so it quickly disappears & makes me plan to order again.

I've been regularly ordering from Lee's Deli and so glad I found them on Instagram (of all places!). I love their dum sum and how well they reheat. Usually dim sum is best fresh but this is actually just as good reheated, especially for my kids who love to have these as snacks. I highly recommend the sticky rice balls, shrimp dumplings, mixed veg & shrimp dumpling and char siu bao.

I am so happy to have discovered Lee's Deli! Their online ordering is so easy to follow, and when I had questions, their customer service was fast and friendly. The best thing about Lee's Deli is the Dim Sum, of course, brought right to my front door and delivered with attention to Covid-19 safety recommendations. It's the best! They even have bamboo steamers available for purchase to make preparation easy.

The Dim Sum is delivered with parchment liners for steamers and instructions can be found online or with delivery. Delivery is free with orders of $30 or more, and everything comes frozen, well-packaged and in the cutest paper bag. Thank you, Lee's, for making it super easy to enjoy a favorite tradition in the safety of my own home!

I used to go to Lee's for their Siu Mai, Shrimp and veggie dumpling and sticky rice ball even before shelter in place. So, I was excited to hear that I could eat these again now that they offer them frozen. Now, the cost is kinda comparable to prepared food so that's the drawback. But, they deliver! Which is super helpful since I still have to work.

The packaging is nice. They include wax paper liners for the steamer and a bunch of sauce packets. The taste and quality are great and really made me realize how much I've been missing dim sum. So, for the convenience and tastiness -- 5*!

Frozen dim sum isn't something I would be that excited about in any other year, but it's 2020, and now frozen dim sum is a treat I could hardly have imagined way back in months 1-3 of the pandemic. Even as indoor dining opens up, I don't plan on yum-cha-ing anywhere indoors, so frozen delivery is as good as it's going to get. I saw an ad for Lee's frozen dim sum on Facebook, free shipping with a $30 order with a delivery order that includes Marin!

Even pre-pandemic, with the exception of Harmony in Strawberry Village, Marin (unsurprisingly) is a dim sum wasteland. Lee's makes deliveries once a week to areas outside San Francisco. Ordering and delivery are very easy and efficient. The website is very user friendly and Lee's offers a nice selection of options to customize your order.

Communication is good--they email the estimated delivery time the day before and then your order is hand-delivered right to your door. We were happy with our order. I also sent an order to my friend after she delivered her baby, and she was in tears at the sight of dim sum delivery (postpartum hormones might have something to do with it?)

Got Delivery to the East Bay and we're hooked! Ordered Shrimp Dumplings (lots of shrimp, so amazing!), Veg. w/ Shrimp & Pork (surprise dumpling favorite of the house), BBQ Pork Buns (wow-crowd favorite), Shu Mai (little too SOLID for our liking), and the Custard Bun (HEAVEN). They always come in the time window they give us and steaming up everything is always such a breeze! Love Lee's Deli and keeping our freezer stocked from here on out!

[Covid Review] I love to have the variety Dim Sum, and found this Lee's Deli SF, they have so many options that you can choose from and with their reasonable price. I have ordered 3 times through their website. And they also willing to deliver around the Bay Area according to their schedule and minimum order with $30. The frozen Dim Sum come in a container and just keep it in the freezer. Steam it whenever you feel like to eat it. It's super easy and convenient to me whenever I craving for Dim Sum especially we still can't dine in here.

We've tried a couple takeout Dim Sum and saw my friends post rave reviews for quality, taste, and consistency from Lee's Deli. We ordered $130 worth of frozen Dim Sum and a couple of cooked meals. The purchasing experience, and the delivery experience was very smooth, highly efficient, and enjoyable. The driver was even friendly as he delivered the order.

The dim sum was very good quality, the ingredients fresh, and the taste was on point. They're now my go to for delivered dim sum and I believe I'd have to go as far as mid-peninsula to find a decent competitor. For the non-dim sum dishes, the fish dish was excellent and cooked just right for reheating. The chicken was only so-so, and we won't order that again.

9/9/2020 update: I did another frozen dim sum order that arrived tonight, and also ordered their orange chicken delivery special ($14) - "Lee's Orange Chicken is breaded and served with a sweet & slightly spicy orange sauce. Serves 3-4. Great with rice." The portion shown on the web site was much larger than the portion I received. I didn't like their orange sauce (served on the side so the chicken didn't get soggy) unfortunately.

I wouldn't order this again, and just stick with the frozen dim sum in the future. Clearly I like the dim sum since I've ordered it again! :) original review from 7/11/2020: #covid19 update: I need dim sum back in my life, and I heard that Lee's Deli was offering free delivery of their frozen dim sum down to the south bay. A week ago, I also picked up frozen dim sum at Koi Palace, and today we had a dim-sum-off at home. Lee's ordering & delivery process: super-easy to do online.

The day before my delivery, I got an email with a two hour delivery window. My food arrived during that time. It seemed like it had thawed some though, and there's definitely icy bits in each container. Everything was clearly labeled, and they also kindly threw in a few sheets of the parchment paper with holes for the steamer. Koi Palace ordering and pickup process: ordering was easy online, and there was a 10% off a $50 or more order promotion.

I had to go to Milpitas to pick up though, and it was chaotic. There were two lines, one to order there and one to pick up pre-orders/doordash/etc. Only one person actually helping customers, and then people would just walk around the lines and go straight to the tables. It was very frustrating and confusing. There was no separate line for pre-paid orders, so some of the people in my line were paying for their phone orders which took longer as well.

I was really frustrated by this whole process, and would definitely not return to pick up during the lunch rush again but that was the time I was assigned during ordering. Onto the dim sum! Round one: BBQ Pork Bun --- Lee's (12 for $15) - fluffier bun, shredded meat, overall good (bonus: paper under each bun) --- Koi (20 for $19) - denser bun, ground meat (including a couple of pieces of cartilage), overall ok ----- winner: Lee's Round two: Shrimp dumpling --- Lee's (12 for $15) - lots of shrimp, good wrapper, but a fishy odor? --- Koi (16 for $16.80) - lots of shrimp and great flavor, good wrapper ----- winner: Koi Round three: custard buns --- Lee's (12 for $15) - fluffier bun, tastier (and bigger amount of) custard (bonus paper under each bun too) --- Koi (25 for $21.25) - denser bun, decent custard ----- winner: Lee's Overall, edge to Lee's. Lee's was more expensive, but I definitely appreciated that they brought it to my door and included the parchment for me. I also liked their buns more. Koi Palace's shrimp dumplings were tastier, but I hated the pick up experience and their buns were not as light and fluffy.

***Frozen Dim Sum Delivery (free shipping over $30)*** ORDER DIRECTLY: https://www.leesdeli.com/shop I really liked the frozen dim sum. I prefer to steam at home as dim sum is best when it is piping hot. Everything was well packaged! Our delivery included free circle parchment paper and instructions. They sell by the dozen for $15. We got a dozen of their har gow, the sampler, and char siu bao all for $45! Was able to eat 2 meals out of this order! Customer service was also responsive and fixed my issue quickly (bumped rating to 5 stars for customer service).

I've been a patron of Lee's for over 20 years, since I first worked in SF's FiDi in the late 90s. I was always impressed by the depth of the menu, and even the hot bar always was fresh and replenished regularly. I would often come in for breakfast, and sometimes back for lunch too. TODAY, I'm writing about their dim sum - order online, delivered to-your-door, frozen dim sum.

I had my first order delivered yesterday, and today popped them into the steamer (using provided parchment paper to line the steamer basket). We had ordered Lee's favorites - an assortment of their choosing - and a dozen red bean buns for our veggie daughter. To say we were impressed with the quality, flavor, and value would be a huge understatement. Lee's has clearly found a new niche which I think they should continue after Covid and when we're all coming back into the deli like the old days.

The bao were fluffy, and the siu mai were HUGE. EVEN BETTER, you can order a "dealers' choice" dozen and assort them yourself - pick four different dim sum per order. At $15 a dozen DELIVERED, this is an amazing value. No sooner did we finish our lunch than we re-ordered for next week's delivery in Marin. I hope the good people at Lee's are doing well during these hard times, and I can tell you I now know where the best dim sum in Novato is.

In My Freezer. Look at all the recent reviews and hop online and orders yours right now. I'll wait right here while you do. Did you order yet? Two or more dozen gets you free delivery in their delivery area - which is as far north as Novato so if you're reading this you're probably in the zone. Full Five Stars!

I truly love Lee's. White rice, veggies, fruit, hash browns, bacon - they made keeping to my new gluten free dietary change so easy and simple. I honestly am so appreciative that they were here while I went through the difficult phase of getting used to no gluten, no daily, and no soy. It's about as not-fun as it sounds. The service is always friendly, but straightforward and they always had a few lollies for me to grab for the honey. I'll miss stopping by Lee's for breakfast. Yes, I will.

"Oh sweet, a Lee's around the corner from my new office. I'll grab a sammich and- oh, hot bar!" $17 later, I'm walking out with lunch and dinner. Seriously, I was expecting the casual Lee's Sandwiches, offering affordable Vietnamese sandwiches. This isn't anything related: this is a (mostly) Chinese spot offering a salad bar, a hot food bar & dim sum, sandwiches and burgers ordered at the counter, a variety of soups to order including shrimp wonton and a new ramen.

Talk about diverse menu for a grab and go spot! Now I definitely went a bit overboard, piling up on the three types of noodles (chow fun, chow mein, lo mein) and getting a little pit of every piece of protein, followed by almost one of each dim sum. But I had to! I have to figure out what was good on the first turn so next time I don't drop $17. Proteins include at least 3 kinds of fried chicken (the Japanese-style was my favorite), roast pork, beef (I would skip the beef and broccoli next time), and shrimp.

The dim sum includes 3 types of shiu mai, pot stickers, crab rangoon, shrimp and veggie dishes, and more. And look, this place isn't going to be gourmet and you should understand that going in: this is mass cooked food. Quantity Over Quality. I also wouldn't do this every day - aside from the quantity that I inhaled, who knows what ingredients are actually used.

The staff was also very nice - quickly got to the register and paid with no hassle. I will definitely be going back on those days when I just want a variety, but may want to work it off first.

Super glad there's at least a place fairly close to my workplace where I can get some exercise in (by walking there) and save money on lunch! Although not the healthiest option, Lee's Deli serves up a variety of food offerings from in-house made dim sum, to sandwiches, burgers, and banh mis, to Chinese take-out food (and other fare). The take-out food is buffet style where you pay by the pound, and the dim sum per piece if you're getting it only. There's a line to order sandwiches and noodle bowls but it moves fairly quickly, and they hand you a receipt where you bring it up to the cashier. I spent no more than $7 on a banh-mi style sandwich. Not authentic, but filling and cheap! Definitely going to have to return to try the dim sum and other foods!

This is the type of place you go to for a quick lunch break or just some fast and convenient Chinese food. Offerings include multiple types of sandwiches, an extensive hot food bar with items like siu mai and har gow, and some Chinese dishes you can get cooked to order. I'd definitely recommend the hot food bar - more specifically the dim sum items. It's pretty clear that the dim sum items are made fresh everyday - all of them are placed in those nostalgic steamer baskets!

I came on a weekday afternoon during my lunch break and got an assortment of hot food items. They charge by the pound (something like $9/pound?). The price is really good compared to other hot food bars in the area as long as you don't load up on carbs that take up your meal. The food wasn't amazing, but it honestly wasn't that bad either.

For how convenient and quick the service is, you shouldn't expect to get amazing 5-star quality food. The meal definitely left me satisfied and kept my wallet happy. Just a note on a couple of their items: - BBQ Pork Bun: Actually really fluffy! The sweetness inside was a bit too sweet for me, but nonetheless still yummy. These are actually not that heavy so eating them is cost efficient. - Siu Mai: Most likely their best item - the siu mai is loaded with lots of pork.

The flavor isn't as deep as what you would get at a real dim sum restaurant, but you won't complain when grabbing some of these. - Har Gow: Gooey gelatinous rice paper encompassing some shrimp. Texture and taste on these were good - make sure to grab some soy sauce to eat these with! - Green Beans: Slightly blistered, these tender green beans surprised me.

They were really good considering where I got them from! I was hesitant to get a lot since it was my first time, but I'll definitely be getting more of these next time. - Walnut Shrimp: Always a tempting option to get. The walnut shrimp here isn't anything special. just small cheap shrimps fried up and encased with a super sweet and rich sauce. Ultimately, you shouldn't be expecting Michelin Star food here.

This place is reasonably priced, and provides fast obtainable food for people who work and live nearby. Given the context of living in the city and all of the points mentioned above, that is why I give Lee's my 4-star rating!

As "in office building" eating places go, this one is pretty good. Outdoor seating, some convergence store items you can buy, and some decent food.
