We are proud to announce the opening of La Parma on the Bay in Port Washington. It joins our Williston Park, Huntington and Oceanside locations, each family owned and operated. La Parma, begun in 1984, was one of the original family-style Italian restaurants on Long Island. While the specials of each location varies to local taste, each continues our original family-style Italian fare policy with quality food, professional service and satisfying portions.

Needed to order in some family-style for a group of friends tonight, and we remember really liking La Parma ll I. The early pandemic. I never write poor reviews, but the food was so weak and awful tonight, that I had no choice. We ordered Chicken Parm, Meatballs, Linguine w/ White Clam Sauce, Caesar Salad, etc.and everything tasted either awful, or had no flavor, except perhaps too much salt.

It was so bad, that our kitchen didn't even remotely smell appetizing from the spread of food. They are fooling NO ONE! I will NEVER EVER be ordering from there again. Shame on you LA PARMA!

Came here last night for dinner and started out with the bread basket. There was something seriously wrong with the butter that came with it. It's as if someone made it ahead of time and refrigerated it along other foods. It had a terrible taste and I know I wasn't the only one because the table across from me was also complaining. I ordered a Cesar salad that was not good at all and my friend had the Burrata salad with roasted red peppers.

The cheese tasted old as if it was expired. We shared a chicken Parmesan which was just mediocre. The prices are so expensive and does not reflect the food served. Please save yourself and go somewhere with better quality food.

Hands down some of the best italian food around. Been going there since 1988. Some of my favorite dishes consistently have been linguini with third clam sauce and baked clams. If you have the appetite tbd chicken scarpiello off the bone ( white or dark meat ) is also a real treat. The la Parma salad is equally good Got to end the night with an espresso and canoli Consistently great food service and Anthony in the kitchen does NOT disappoint.!

Went for dinner with friends recently and very much enjoyed this place. Great cocktails, good menu and nice service. Family style portions were perfect for 4. Calamari salad app and baked clams were delicious. Pasta was very good as well as was our veal entree. Finished it off with a yummy almond cake, tartufo and cappuccino. Nice place would go back.

Very disappointed in this restaurant. Went online to look at menu and prices. I ordered over the phone and thought it weird that I was not told total which should have been around $130. Picked up order and was told bill was $165. They raised prices between $5 and $7 each item. Chicken scap went from $26 to $33. Manager told me they can charge what they want and asked me if I saw increase in supermarket. Not close to what they gauged me. Will not return. Buyer beware.

A tremendous shout out to La Parma II in Huntington! We had my brother's surprise party outdoors, and everything was absolutely perfect! They were extremely accommodating, and everyone said the food was delicious. We had chicken, veal, clams, cavatelli, delicious potatoes - you name it! We had kids who needed chicken tenders (and some 20-somethings decided to order tenders too - that aroma was enticing). Latecomers who needed special meals. The kitchen made everything perfectly! The staff was beyond amazing. It was a wonderful day, and I'm so glad that we chose such an amazing restaurant!

What a great find! Started with a pizza from their wood fired oven. Unbelievable Next, I had one of their specials. Wish I could remember what it was called. It was phenomenal. The other members in my group all raved at how great their meals were as well. This place cannot be missed. They also recently changed their tents around, put in area of pavers and added chandeliers and tent liners. Wow!

We went on Mother's Day for a late lunch. The dining room was closed so all seating was in the tents. Our table was right by a tent door so it was chilly until they closed one of the doors. As usual, the staff was working very hard to travel from the restaurant kitchen to the tents but they did a great job. Management was on hand making sure that everything was being taken care of. The food was excellent despite the travel time between the kitchen & tents. They are a group of Pro's who have it down to a science.

I went to this Restaraunt because of the many raves about the food. I can say nothing else the food was delicious. I enjoyed the stuff shells very much. The server Alex was another story. My husband had to wait fifteen minutes for grated cheese. Alex than had the nerve to accost my in-laws to why a tip was not left. I actually left him 2 cent. Great food I will never have the pleasure of tasting. Great food just don't get Alex

In less than a few words, I travel all the way to Long Island for this place. My entire family loves it! By far my favorite family style Italian restaurant to frequent and also one of my Top 10 restaurants that I've ever been. Even during the pandemic, Anthony and his team are hard at work providing best in class cuisine for all. Thank you for continuing to allow us to partake in your food, and thank you for always continuing to show kindness, care, and support to myself and your frequent customers!

If you had a negative experience here, GIVE IT ANOTHER SHOT! La Parma is mine and my husband's absolute favorite Italian restaurant on Long Island (coming from an Italian girl who is used to home-cooked Italian food!) We love them so much we had them cater our wedding, and over 3 years later our friends and family are still raving about the cuisine.

Everything they serve here is to die for - from the delicate fried zucchini appetizer to the Parma salad, to the fresh pasta, to the Napoleon for dessert (our wedding "cake" was this Napoleon by the way) you will not be disappointed. The service is impeccable - the staff is so well trained, friendly, and professional.

BEST ITALIAN FOOD! If you write a bad review about this place the chances that you will get wAcked are extremely high. I encourage you not to do such a thing. But you do you. (It's very important to note that this restaurant did not pay me to write this review) My name is David and I approve this message.

We regularly come to La Parma for work functions as it is right around the block and works extremely well for a group. The food is always excellent as is the service. We were here last week for lunch and were seated immediately (and brought out their delicious warm bread). I ordered a Mule of some sort (wish I remembered what kind!) which came out quick and was really good.

We immediately placed orders for the warm salad, chicken parm, and penne. The salad here is my absolute favorite. It comes smothered in peppers and olives and all sorts of delicious things. It is served just slightly warmed which really brings it up a notch in my book as well. It is the star of their menu in my eyes. The chicken and penne were both excellent, and as usual the portions were huge. I had a decent sized lunch and plenty to bring home for dinner. A nice perk is the food reheats well too!

My family is a regular here and we love it. One of the best places to get Italian classics! It is a bit pricey, but they are all family-style dishes and is in a reasonable range. I just love the rustic and old atmosphere. It does get a bit tight during holidays and weekends, so be prepared and make a reservation!

It has been quite awhile since I have been to La Parma and it was quite noticable that the restaurant has done very little to update the establishment. The restaurant 's clients appeal is surely not its ambience, but its for their Italian family style menu offerings along with its affordable prices. We enjoyed muscles, inked ravioli, broccoli rab with sausages, and chicken scaperilo. In addition, we ordered a bottle of Amarone 2006 which was perfect. Our service was excellent and I must admit, I enjoyed lunch very much.

The best Italian restaurant on Long Island! Staff is fantastic and make you feel at home. I come here once or twice a month with my mom and we always have a great meal. I'm not really sure about the people complaining about prices when it's a considerably better deal for a family of four to eat family style. Been coming here for years and the prices have changed by quarters. Vincent, Aurelio and the rest of the staff are A-Plus! Alexa

We have lived in the development across the street for nearly 3 and a half years, and I'm sorry to say that it has been this long before getting to try a truly great restaurant in the area. And so close to home. Sometimes the things that are so close, are taken for granted. Fortunately, this is no longer true for La Parma. We came in on a Saturday night earlier than the crowds and were able to snag a table for four right away.

The restaurant filled up rapidly behind us. Within half an hour of our arrival the place was completely packed. There is valet parking which we were thankful for because we were traveling with an infant and it was raining out. Service inside the restaurant was very good. Eating with an infant requires that almost everything on the table remain out of reach of their very eager and helpful (?) hands.

In our case, that meant that roughly 1/3 of the table area had to be "baby-proof". This requires a timing of appetizers and entrees to avoid overcrowding the table. We started with a chilled seafood salad that was very delicious and followed up with a eggplant rollatini. Both were served perfectly and enjoyed by all. Our server divided the portions onto plates for us as these dishes are served family style and we appreciated the table service we received from Chris.

He really understood the importance of keeping the baby in our family happy and made sure to get her some pasta to eat before anything else happened. Kudos for understanding the key to an enjoyable meal for parents of small children. The big boys had the veal chop special and the squid ink lobster ravioli. Both tasted excellent that night and the next day when "the-eyes-bigger-than-the-stomach" wore off.

Great portions and delicious flavors. We look forward to coming back and enjoying more of what La Parma has to offer. Overall a very very good meal. Look forward to seeing them again soon. I can see that with repeated excellent meals and great service, we will be upgrading our rating to a five.

Totally what I expect from an Italian place in Long Island. Old decor, the menu is on the wall. The place is family style so portions are large. You can get a single portion but it's sort of a waste as it's definitely a lot less food for about 2/3 of the price. Large homey tables.
