DELICIOUS/NEW OWNERS Great setting, relaxed yet stylish and superb tasty eats. Cool jazz in the background, tentative and friendly staff and savory plates. The calamari was tender and lightly battered with a spicy aioli. Chicken picatta and chicken Marsala super tasty with perfectly grilled veggies! The roasted thick cut salmon was en pointe and the Pasta bolognese smooth and beefy.

Large portions, well worth the pricing. Can't wait to go back Jack! Oh and the tiramisu was huge, drizzled with caramel, a nice touch. A cut above any dining experience in downtown Roxnard! Thank you, it's about TIME

EXCELLENCE COMES TO OXNARD! Outstanding food and Amazing service! We were greeted and served by Sam, a wonderful host who took care of our every need. The delicious homemade bread and bruschetta started off an excellent meal. The Caesar salad was the best we've ever had, as was the delicious beet salad. The vegetables were fresher than fresh! Speaking of fresh, the crusted halibut in garlic sauce on a bed of caramelized spinach was delectable.

We had no room for dessert but sure that it would have been on the par with the rest of the meal. Really outstanding. Best in Oxnard and probably all of Ventura County. No kidding.

Outstanding food and service! I'm a Los Angeleno who goes to foodie restaurants and was so impressed with the freshness and quality here. Standouts were the risotto, mushroom soup, and the lamb chops. If you have a special occasion, this is a great place to spend it! Also, the ambiance is so charming and intimate.

Although the restaurant recently changed hands, the food and the service is still a very good value for the money. The menu changes appeared to be rather subtle, but any made were a net improvement. It's a bit of a drive for us of about 30 minutes, but worth it.

One of our favorite spots right here in Oxnard. Definitely recommend the gnoochi, vegetable ravioli, and the caprese salad

My husband and I just hosted our rehearsal dinner at La Dolce Vita and it was such a pleasant experience. We had a large enough party where we were able to have the upper floor to ourselves was incredibly convenient (you even get your own bathroom up there too!). The staff was very kind and friendly to us and our guests the entire time, even though we had a couple kids that were loud and a bit rambunctious, we apologized and they were very understanding.

Everyone loved the food and there were many shout out specifically for the mashed potatoes haha, which I agree were super tasty! If you are looking for a place in the area to host a rehearsal dinner, La Dolce Vita is a great place!

I was pretty excited to try this place but the experience left something to be desired. I had the chicken Marsala but it was under seasoned and a bit chewy. The drinks were ok but it took too long to get them. When the time came to pay, we waited over 20 minutes for the waiter come take the checks then they looked annoyed when we approached the bar to pay when he took too long to come back.

Oh this wasn't a good one. I ordered delivery tonight. I figured I'd order 2x antipasto salads for my girlfriend and I. Well, that was a pretty big mistake. These are $14 salads and they aren't worth $4.00. I honestly feel like this is some kind of scam and that maybe this isn't even a real restaurant. I took stock after opening this "salad" and while it was advertised to have "Italian Meats", there was zero of that.

Absolutely zero meat/protein. Two slices of Italian pepper, one small olive, One cauliflower floret (small) and one pearl onion. A small handful of lettuce. What a pathetic attempt to rip someone off for $28. I wasted the delivery fee and I'm not eating this worthless salad for dinner. If you care at all for your hard earned dollars, please don't fall for this trick.

I actually sorted out the items that were in my $14 salad that was described as "Italian meats and cheeses tossed with vinaigrette and greens with tomato, olives, and sliced pepperoncini"

Love this environment and vibe. Food is decent and service has been good the few visits I've had. Great place for an intimate setting and the 1908 lounge downstairs is amazing.

Used the space for a wedding and everyone was very accommodating. Beautiful space, they gave us the whole place. And the staff was perfect! Food was great! Everything came with a delicious cake!

We always wanted to do there and had a very overpriced mediocre dinner last night. The outside patio was and service were very nice but the meal was below average in every respect. i sent back my pork dinner and my wife's lemon chicken was way too lemony. $10 for a side salad was way over the top. now we were there twice, first time and last time.

We came in to check it out after hearing about it for years, we also came because it's on the axxess card and we wanted to use it before the end of the year. We Brought in our own bottle of wine, most of the time I always do. There's is a $15.00 corkage fee which is fine with me. Our waitress Kittie was fenomenal! She was happy to open our wine and was very informative as far menu and where their seafood comes from and all that.

We started with the Caprese salad, we liked it a lot! main course: We order the stuffed Pork Loin and the Seabass. The seabass was good, good flavor and the rice with the veggies really complemented it! The pork was the star of the night, it was a bit tough but the flavor was amazing. Kittie was very happy to take our axxess card and was super nice, Honestly she's the reason why thy get 5 stars and why I would keep going back, like I said there's food was great but the service was excellent!

We ended up taking dessert home, Tiramisu. Honestly I couldn't eat it because it had some sauce that was overpowering the marscapone, it was almost like a Sambuca reduction or something like that, I didn't care for it, but I don't rate food when it's carry out! So it doesn't count! Overall we had a lovely evening and we will be back!

Oh what a sweet life.experience. Stopped in for a special celebration evening dinner. We were greeted promptly and seated in the first dining room. What a beautiful place. This old Victorian home was built in 1900. The entire Heritage Square is so beautiful. Our server was so friendly. Forgot his name but he had a great Rhode Island accent. He was great and made our dinner even more enjoyable.

Warm bread and bruschetta is served when you order your meal. We started with calamari. Very large portion served with a spicy aioli sauce and lemon. We had the citrus zest sea bass with risotto. Amazing! Moist and yummy. Also the salmon. Really liked the balsamic reduction. Both plates included perfect al dente asparagus. We treated ourselves to Creme Brulee and a 2009 Tawny Port for dessert. Both delicious! We will return. It's nice to add a sweet dinner out to our lives! Yes, La Dolce Vita.

I was excited to find La Dolce Vita because their tea parties and afternoon tea look amazing! I wished that they offered it for small parties. It turns out that you have to make a party reservation for 10 or more people. Next time! We ended up going for lunch because their patio is dog friendly! (We pretty much take the fur baby anywhere we can). The area (Heritage Square) has a lot of history with old Victorian homes converted into businesses.

The weekend that we went, they had set up for an outdoor music festival. It seems like a great family friendly community. I can't remember our server's name, but he was friendly and gave us ample time to decide on our selections! Deviled Eggs - 3.5/5 The hubby loves deviled eggs. I thought they could have used some more seasoning to make the appetizer pop with flavor a bit more. Belly Burger - 4/5 This burger was huge! I'm glad I was able to substitute the fries for a salad. Linguini with Clams - 4/5 The pasta and clams were good! Overall, if I lived closer, I'd definitely come back! Especially during one of their music festivals! Hopefully I will be back for a special occasion where we can have enough for a proper afternoon tea party!
