Anthony wayne house has been nothing but a dream. My fiancee and I instantly knew that this was where we wanted to say I do. Their support team is extremely knowledgeable as well as kind and their menu is so diverse and delicious! Highly suggest booking!

From the moment we set foot at AWH, we knew this venue was for us - the beauty of the surrounding trees, the stone historic house, the light-filled tent make this venue the perfect blend of rustic and elegance. We love that the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception take place in distinct areas on all the same property. We cannot express enough how wonderful JAM Catering is, from deliciously unique farm-to-table style meals to stunning presentation. Julia, our wedding coordinator, has been so responsive and attentive, and we are grateful to her and all of the AWH team who are working to make our big day this coming September so incredible.

Anthony Wayne House was our very first venue visit, and after a few other tours, we knew AWH was the perfect fit for us. We love the woodsy backyard feel, with the charming and romantic string lights in the reception tent. We are getting married this September and cannot wait! So far, the staff has been really helpful and quick to respond, and our tasting with JAM catering was delicious! We are so excited.

Magical, perfect, spectacular, beautiful wedding day. Angela, Lynn, Cindy, and staff deserve every compliment in the world after helping us coordinate our wedding on 04/28/2018. The food was outstanding (guests are still raving about it), grounds were beautiful and well maintained, and the service from bartenders and staff was second to none. I recommend this wedding venue without hesitation and with absolute confidence.

On Friday, July 28 Jerry and I had the most amazing wedding at Anthony Wayne House. We had planned a fun night of dancing and great food with Lauren Ficca and her team and everything was perfect. The food received the most amazing reviews (especially the pulled pork in a jar) as to the venue itself; which was stunning from the moment we all arrived to the minute we left. AWH was super cordial; they even let us bring in our own decorations to put our special touch on their space.

The team at AWH and JAM Catering are the best and I mean that wholeheartedly. They are so responsive and went above and beyond themselves to make sure our day was perfect and that every detail was thought out. I would recommend AWH to anyone and everyone that is looking for the perfect/unique outdoor venue.

I had my wedding at the Anthony Wayne House in 2015. Upon seeing the venue, I immediately loved it! I was looking for a unique venue in the area, and this was exactly that. The grounds are beautiful, as is the carriage house and the tent where you can hold your reception. There is also a cool fire pit on the grounds. I have not one complaint about the venue itself. However, the wedding coordinator Angela completely put a sour taste in my mouth!

We met her at the Anthony Wayne House to go on a tour, and it was obvious she was not very interested in getting us to book our wedding there. She seemed to rush us through things. Worst of all, she had an information pamphlet that she was using to explain things to us. While flipping pages, she gave herself a paper cut and started to bleed. She then wiped her blood on the front of the pamphlet and handed it to us to keep! Really?!?!

Despite our dislike of Angela, we decided to book because we loved the venue so much. During the planning process, she was pretty responsive and I didn't really have a lot of complaints. But as it got closer she gave me a hard time on just about everything. I had a doorway that my dad made for me to walk through-she wanted it taken down the night of my wedding!

To her credit, it was listed in our contract that personal belongings had to be taken back the night of the wedding, but for all the money I was paying I thought such a large item should be able to be picked up in the morning. I finally convinced her to let us come back and get it in the morning, but she wasn't plesasnt about it. However, when I did go to pick my doorway up the next day, she had arranged flowers that I had purchased for the next wedding!

On the day of my wedding, I realized the flower petals for my flower girl were missing-when I mentioned it to her she told me that the flower girl was not allowed to throw flowers (I was never told this, but I did later realize it was listed in the contract.) After my bridesmaid made a bigger deal of it and called the florist who said they dropped them off-Angela pulled the bag of petals out from under a table!

She had hid them because she didnt want my flower girl to throw them. which really wouldn't have been a big deal had she of just told me instead of hiding the flowers that I paid for! Not to mention, although it was in the contract. there were thousands of leaves all over the ground she told me would be blown off, but were not. She also had a rehearsal going on the day of my wedding, 1 hour before my ceremony and while I was taking pictures and doing my first look.

She had them rehearsing with all of my decor and they were in the way of the pictures my photographer was trying to take. When we confronted her about this. she claimed she was being generous by letting us be there early to take pictures!? Really. because she sold us on that fact that the venue was ours for the ENTIRE day! There were various other things through the night and I could go on and on forever.

There were so many issues that I had with Angela, but luckily they were all behind the scenes and none of my guest made a single complaint, everyone raved about how beautiful the venue was! It's ashame they don't have a more pleasant coordinator running the place. When I called in the following weeks so voice my complaints about Angela, it didnt seem like the person cared very much, and they said they would follow up with me but never did.

So i let it go. UNTIL. my husband and I are celebrating our 1 year anniversary and go to take a bite of the top tier of our wedding cake. We each take a bite and as I start digging in I see a small hair on the end of my cake. OK. maybe just a little hair fell onto my piece. NO! As I looked at the cake closer, there were over 30 small, curly, dark hairs all over my wedding cake!

They certainly don't appear to be from someone head, and I find it very hard to believe that this could have accidentally happened. I was so upset and couldnt believe my eyes. Of all my issues with Angela, and after all the money I spent, I couldnt believe someone had ruined my wedding cake. Disgusting! The Anthony Wayne House is a great location, JAM Catering was satisfactory, but I was very unhappy with Angela and the way she handled my wedding.

My husband and I were married at the AWH on Sept 4th, 2015. It was one of the best days of our lives. We picked the AWH based on the food, flat usable space, ambiance, cost and the ability to make this day unique to our vision. Our Ceremony started at 5:30pm and ended at 11pm. We are foodies so JAM catering was a perfect fit. The food is simply amazing.

We decided on beef short ribs and mahi mahi. Our guest still rave about it. Nothing like typical wedding food. The cake was perfection. Stations were beautiful and there was plenty of food. Our guest did not want to leave the cocktail hour! The space was a perfect size. We were married outside and exchanged our own vows under a wooden pergola. I will never forget it as long as I live.

The outdoor space was great for cocktails, yard games and the general flow of guests. Never crowded. The elderly were able to get around as well. Few steps. The road AWH sits on is not loud. You feel very secluded. The ambiance is perfection. Beautiful and rustic. The old colonial house is a beautiful backdrop. The fire pit created a relaxed atmosphere.

The tent was breath taking. This place needs very little extra fluff to shine. The tent is on polished concrete. Plenty of room for tables and dancing. There are 2 bars very close to the tent. I did not want my guests to have to walk all over creation. The cost was very reasonable. We looked at 17 different places. This gave us everything we were looking for and at the best cost per head. JAM catering was more than willing to work with us and talk about any financial concerns.

I do feel like we got our monies worth. Our onsite coordinator Angela, answered all of our questions and was helpful the day of the wedding along with the rest of her team. Khasera did a great job as well. The team helped us clean out of there. Our wedding was exactly what we were going for. Relaxed, delicious and an absolute great party. Forget the formalities. It is your day! Have fun with it:

My husband and I got married at the AWH on September 5th, 2015. THe venue is absolutely gorgeous and was the perfect mix of rustic and romantic that we knew we wanted. What sold us were the beautiful wood farm house tables. The staff was great to work with, Angela showed us the venue and Lynn was our day of coordinator. We chose Buttercup as our florist who is affiliated with JAM catering and he blew us away.

We chose the stations options for food which everyone seemed to love. Everyone was easy going and took the time to answer all of our questions. If you want a rustic wedding in Chester County this is your spot! It truly made our wedding day one of the most special days of our lives

A dream venue. Our wedding on May 24th, 2015 was truly wonderful. The venue and all of the vendors associated with the venue were incredibly helpful, professional and a pleasure to work with. Paul & I were searching through many different venues throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding areas. After visiting a few, we stumbled across the Anthony Wayne House, thanks to Angela DiLella for showing us the space.

She was incredibly helpful through the entire planning process and even visited on our wedding day. We visited in the winter and knew while we were there that it would be a perfect space for our wedding. We had 180 guests and the lawn was a perfect space for our outdoor wedding and cocktail hour, while the tent was a trendy, spacious, beautiful and safe space for our reception. Lynn Gluck, our liasion and party planner was helpful throughout every aspect of planning.

She helped with all of the logistics. I mean really, she took care of everything! The caterer, Jeffrey Miller Catering, was absolutely fantastic. The food was exceptional and all of the guests mentioned how fantastic, perfectly cooked and flavorful the food was. This includes all of the appetizers, cake, dinner and signature drinks! They were professional and helpful.

We even had a private tasting to choose the delicious food to serve! : If you are a vegetarian or want to have a great vegetarian option, choose the zucchini and quinoa cakes with cashew butter and spaghetti squash! It was to die for! We loved working with all of the planners and had a fantastic experience. We both 100% recommend this venue for a wedding event. Everything is taken care of in a beautiful and elegant, yet casual and laid back way. Best! Lauren & Paul Dale

My husband and I got married at Anthony Wayne House and it was a wonderful experience (from the start of our planning process back in October 2014 with Angela and Lynn up until our actual wedding day this past June 2015). As soon as my mother and I saw the venue, I knew it was going to be our wedding location and Angela made everything so seamless from start to finish.

The Jeffrey Miller team was on top of every little detail and were always so accommodating and supportive of us throughout the preparations (even during those moments when my bridal indecisiveness kicked in big time). You will get exemplary service the day of (the staff was terrific) because everyone at Jeffrey Miller is truly there to make your wedding day the most special celebration possible. not to mention the food was wonderful as well.

Our wedding day ended up having awful weather as well (torrential downpour) but that didn't stop the Jeffrey Miller team from kicking into high gear to make sure that my husband and I (and our guests) didn't even blink an eye at the rain coming down. Everything from the planning to the actual event was handled with the utmost professionalism and attention to detail and we always felt listened to and never pressured to do anything that we didn't want to do.

I would recommend Angela, Lynn, and the Jeffrey Miller team at Anthony Wayne House to everyone and anyone. If you want a simple, rustic, and elegant venue and a team that is truly passionate and so focused on making your wedding day the best ever, you've found the right place with the Anthony Wayne House and the JAM caterers.

Everything about the Anthony Wayne House from the tour to the planning process to the big day, was nothing short of my dream wedding. Angela and the whole team (Buttercup included!) made everything smooth and seamless. The big day was incredible--something straight out of a bridal magazine! The food was INCREDIBLE, we got so many compliments--even from chefs who attended the wedding to my father who is an incredible particular foodie type! we will have people asking us about our cake (carrot cake!) I highly recommend The Anthony Wayne House as a gorgeous, unique, rustic venue with superb food, service, and decor. There were no hidden fees or shady costs--everything was handled with professionalism and transparency! Thanks again Angela and JAM Catering!

I had the honor of attending a wedding at the Anthony Wayne house on May 30th. The wedding was an English garden theme, and the outdoor space was just beautiful for this. The outdoor wedding space was surrounded by woods and had a pergola in the front. The area was surrounded by historic buildings. There was enough room for an outdoor cocktail hour, with some high-top tables and a few normal tables as well.

The reception space was an all-weather tent of sorts, with fans, stringed lights, and solid structure that has plastic walls that could be connected in the case of a storm. There was also a fire pit area, which was really nice. The couple chose to make this a smoking/cigar celebratory area, which worked really well. The cocktail hour was very good. Drinks were tasty and strong, and the hors d'oeuvres (many hot butlered plus a meat, cheese, bread, and vegetable table) were varied and delicious.

The main course and desserts were very good as well- not standard bland wedding fare. Your place card corresponded to the dinner choice, so at the bottom of my place card was an outline of a carrot to denote that I had ordered the vegetarian entree option. This was an interesting idea (so that the waiters wouldn't have to double-check and take order), but the waiters did seem to have a hard time serving and looking to see what each person ordered and distributing appropriately. Overall, this venue was beautiful. It is for someone who wants to have an outdoors-y wedding and reception and caters to a very specific clientele as such, but everything was great.

I cannot say enough terrible things about the way we were treated by Angela Dilella, the witch, I mean woman, who shows this venue. It seemed as if she was NOT trying to get us to book our wedding at the Anthony Wayne House. Here's a few examples: They offer gold chairs for the reception. Our colors are white and silver. I asked if the white chairs for the ceremony can be brought inside the tent during cocktail hour to use for the reception chairs. (I know this can be done- simple concept. Also, I used to work for a catering company who did this.) She acted like it was the end of the world and was impossible because "do you know how heavy chairs are". Also, I was having a quiet, private conversation with my grandmother while we were there and apparently that isn't allowed because Angela kept interrupting us by calling my name over and over (5 times to be exact), as if she didn't see me talking to my Grandmom when she was looking right at us and we were sitting across the table.

So so many more things. I'll spare you. My fiance, mom, gmom, and I all left there and started busting out laughing. We could not believe we even CONSIDERED giving almost $40,000 to this venue. Anyway, it was a pretty place. I guess. But if you want a pretty place AND great service, I suggest Merideth Manor in Pottstown. That's where our wedding will be :)
