For more than 16 years, John Baylin J.B.Catering, Inc. has been dazzling San Diego with nothing but the finest in food, service, and presentation. John Baylin, former owner and Executive Chef at California Cuisine Restaurant, sold his interests in that company in 1984 and founded J.B.Catering, Inc. and the rest, as they say, is history. Whether your event includes a casual buffet, executive luncheon, formal dinner, wedding, Bar Mitzvah, reunion, or just simply box lunches, J.B.Catering, Inc. can do it all.
Services
Marina Village offers four different rooms. They each are well-appointed and have lovely water views. There is some access to adjacent outdoor areas. The facility provides chairs and tables. The staff at Marina Village are particularly accommodating, and very easy to work with. One exceptional feature here is that there are no noise restrictions for bands, DJ's, etc. (Most other facilities do have a set time when music must stop!)
Following are some general policies and information which pertain to most events; please read them carefully. The proposal contains an estimate of the staff hours based on the client's estimate of the length of the event. If the event runs longer, the staff hours will also increase and the client will be billed accordingly.

The food was nothing short of spectacular. Simon provided an elegant display of delicious food which wowed our honoree and guests. The array of food included a carving station with juicy pastrami, corned beef, roast beef and short ribs. In addition guests feasted on a fish grill, kebab and rice station, salad bar, shawarma, Brazilian bbq, Paya grill, exotic fruit station, dessert station, and so much more.

After speaking with multiple kosher caterers in San Diego for our wedding, we were so happy to find John! John has such a warm and welcoming personality, and was great at listening to our needs and vision. John was willing to have multiple conversations with various guests of ours during the planning process to reassure them that all kosher needs and rules were followed to their level of observance.
We appreciated John's confidence and upbeat nature, and willingness to go above and beyond. John catered our wedding Shabbat dinner - the presentation was out of this world! From the beverage station to the plated dinner, his attention to detail was top notch.
