Elegant Events at Marcello's Ristorante is at the crossroads which makes our location convenient for all your guests to come together to celebrate your most memorable day. Whether your guests are coming from New Jersey, Westchester or Upstate New York our location is the perfect fit for everyone to celebrate.
Come and experience one of the best cooking classes in NY at Marcello's. We offer a lunch class and a dinner class. Classes start at 1:00 pm for the lunch class and 7pm for the dinner class. The costs of these classes are $55.00 per person, plus tax, tip and beverage, which includes a three course menu of an appetizer, entree, dessert and coffee.
Our NY Chefs Table is located in Marcello's cooking studio and is a great place to have private parties for up to 12 people. You will have a private chef and wait staff. At our New York Chefs table we can create fantastic gourmet meals of wine and delicious entrees. Cooking class demonstrations, hands on cooking classes, One-on-One cooking classes and Corporate Team building event cooking classes are also available in our cooking studio. The Studio is also the home of Marcello's Gourmet Shop where cookware, olive oil and other products are on display for purchase.
Having been in the NY area restaurant business for over 25 years, Marcello Russodivito has mastered both the front and back of the house in many restaurants. Marcello's restaurant consulting in NY has helped renovate, expand, educate, and craft many new projects, people and food. The core of Marcello's NY restaurant consulting is his philosophy - "You always have to keep evolving, " to keep customers happy and always wanting to more.

I hadn't been here in a number of years, but decided to revisit for a small gathering yesterday celebrating a very significant birthday for a family member. Marcello's was a disappointment on many levels. When one calls for a reservation a few day in advance to get a nice table for a birthday dinner, you would think they would let you know that the main dining room would be closed for an event and the only seating was in the bar area with no tablecloths, etc.they chose not to do that.

Terrible action. The food was also disappointing. One item needed to be send back to bring it to proper temperature. Another veal item has to be completely remade due to it being tough, i.e. difficult to cut with even a knife. In fairness, the chef/boss come out and was moderately gracious and agreed to re-make the ailing item. It was better the second time around.

The portions were modest size at best. Nothing was even close to exceptional. And it is a fairly expensive place. The service was okay at times. They made an effort.cut our birthday cake for us (for a fee), sang 'Happy Birthday', snapped a few pics for us when requested. But then they would disappear. Three times I had to get up from the table and seek someone out so we could order coffee, ask for the check, that kind of thing.

The place was very quiet ( now I know why), so there is no reason not to have wait staff close by. They certainly weren't busy attending other patrons. We didn't let all of this ruin our good time, but it could have been so much more of a memorable night for the family.

If you want authentic Italian food that is so delicious with a beautiful atmosphere then this is what you are looking for. My sister and I had the Bellinis and a fruit and cheese appetizer. Our dinner was superb. The service was second to none. I would recommend Marcelellos Ristorante to anyone who wants top quality food served with finest ingredients. Thanks to the entire staff!

Two work colleagues and I ate here in March 2022. The food was astoundingly good. Portions are large enough for me to split an appetizer to leave room for a main. I don't often talk about my food several times when eating it and I certainly don't come on Yelp two weeks later to be sure to review it. Two nights later we went to another Italian in the area (well known) and very up market) where the food was twice as expensive and not even half as good. Marcellos is fantastic.

The staff were great too both when serving and as we waited for a taxi, keeping them from their families. I could not recommend this restaurant any more vociferously. It's an absolute gem!

From the moment we walked through the door to the moment we left we were taken care of expeditiously and with care. All of the staff had smiles. The owner/ chef even came by our table to say hello. The food! My gosh. We ordered the eggplant parm to start with. The sauce was fantastic, the eggplant cooked perfectly. For dinner my husband ordered the Zuppa de Pesce and I Chicken Parmigiana.

The food came out hot and was so so good. The portions are nicely sized. I'm a light eater but my husband can sure pack it away and he was very satisfied. We took desert home and I didn't have any not hubby said it was delish.

I placed an order from this place about two weeks for my boyfriend's birthday via their website. I drove all the way to the restaurant (to pick up my order) only to see that I received a text message that my order had been canceled because "we are too busy at the moment". I've literally never had this happen to me, ever. I would've been fine with waiting longer for my order but I didn't get that option.

I called the place twice and received an automated answer that was looped, so I was never able to speak to someone. I wonder what would have happened if I had decided to go into the restaurant. Would they have told me no they can't serve me tonight? I found it absolutely ridiculous and won't be trying this establishment in the future no matter how good the reviews are.

Absolutely an Amazing Dinning Experience! Food quality and service is 5 Diamond or Michelin Star worthy, Chef Marcello came out and attended to our group personally, thank you for that added attention. My suggestion is warm focaccia from Rockland Bakery for the table.

My boyfriend took me here for an early Valentines dinner. It was such an enjoyable meal. The cooking style was traditional Italian which is hard to find. Every portion of the meal was perfectly balanced and so savory. And with a simple I'd like a Chardonnay that dry I received the perfect pairing for my linguini and white clam sauce. The tiramisu was amazing. I can't say enough. We will be back.

DELICIOUS! I came in with my family a few nights ago and everything was perfect. We got a few glasses of wine to start, Cabernet Savignon and Pinot Noir, both were very good. We ordered the Artisanal Taccozze Molisane, and let me tell you, this was THE BEST DISH on the table. The braised beef and veal ragu were DELICIOUS! We also ordered the veal francese over pasta, also very tasty.

The chicken francese, was good as well, the vegetables served with it were so perfect. And finally, the chicken parmigiana. also great! For dessert we ordered strawberry zabaione, the flourless chocolate cake, a tartufo and coconut sorbet. Everything was delicious but the flourless chocolate cake was the best! AMAZING food topped with impeccable service. We can't wait to come back!

Very delicious Italian food! We dined in on a Saturday night, and enjoyed appetizers, pasta, entrees, and dessert! The wait staff was very attentive and professional. The violin player was also a nice touch and we enjoyed listening as he played around the restaurant. For appetizers, we had the sauteed Calamari, fried goat cheese salad, and the crab cake.

All were delicious, and portions were filling! We then tried the gnocchi and strozzapreti - both just melted in your mouth. For entrees, we had the salmon, Panko crusted pork, and veal Milanese. We enjoyed them all, just note that the Milanese is just really dressed salad. It's not prepared with any cheese, onion, or tomato. Creme brulee was amazing, and so were the after dinner coffees! I would love to go back and try and cooking class!

Great food, great atmosphere! My wife typically has her work dinner's hosted here and they are always accommodating! The hosts are always attentive and the chef walks around regularly to ensure everyone's food is excellent. He takes pride in his food craft and restaurant. I highly recommend for an elegant lunch or dinner. This place will not disappoint.

Stopped in for dinner as the pandemic restrictions started to get lifted in 2021. Easy street parking. Waiter and manager or owner were really friendly and the service was great. The food was well prepared and the restaurant was clean and had a good atmosphere.

Marcello's has been one our families favorites. For years it was the special occasion dinner and as the years progressed it's more like going to visit the family for dinner. We are treated like family, always. To say I have a favorite, I do it's the Crab Cake. but everything on the menu is prepared with talent and love. It's all delicious. We love the Staff, Nicole, Lloyd, Edwardo but especially our favorite famous Chef Marcello himself. When you go there ask to check out his cooking studio where you can purchase his delicious ingredients.

We dined at Marcello's last night and I was really pleased with the food and service. Our host ordered red wine from Sangiovese and it was great. My meal consisted of risotto ball appetizer, Buratta and Veal Francese.all spot on. If you're nearby and looking for some rock solid Italian food, give this place a try.

Marcello provided menu ideas and catered an important milestone birthday for my wife. The food was absolutely delicious. From the antipasti to the vegetable lasagna course, then the braised short ribs with mashed potatoes, and finally the desert.everything was impeccable. It was hard to believe it didn't come straight from the chef's kitchen. All 16 people in attendance loved the food.

My wife and I woke up the next morning thinking about the short ribs, and talked about the food for meal several days. I can't wait to try the same dish in the restaurant. I would recommend Marcello's restaurant or catering for your next special event, or anytime you want to enjoy a mouth-watering meal.

Had such a lovely evening here. Service was perfect. The sommelier's choice wine option was such a sweet touch (and a correct call, great wine selection). The food was amazing, we loved everything but a highlight was the gnocchi. We also purchased a handful of items from their shop, they all look amazing and we are very excited to try them at home. The chef personally explained the products to us.

I went in there with my boss family while I was visiting. The place was so elegant and fancy. The staff were very friendly and professional. Everyone enjoyed their food except for me. I didnt like how greasy my meal was. I got some pasta plate and the sauce was so thin it felt like soup and pasta. I couldn't get a good taste because its either the pasta or the sauce. I dont know if I'd be back there but if I would then maybe I'd try something other than their pasta menu.

If you are looking a for flavorful and elegant Italian dinner look no further. Marcello uses fresh and unique ingredients to make his dishes a very special experience for the guest. Very friendly service and a very nice atmosphere. Can't wait to come back.

This restaurant has FANTASTIC food at amazing prices. This is authentic Italian food right in the heart of Rockland County, adjacent to Bergen County. I love this place! I've had friends, family and coworkers come here. Enjoy and thank me later.

On the small plates menu: @assaggievino Horseradish Crusted Baked Salmon, Sauteed Shrimp with beans veggies & polenta, Clams Oreganata, Slow Baked Parmigiana of Eggplant, and Burrara with tomato. Each plate exceeded our expectations and the service is exceptional. You can see how Chef Marcello Rossodivito pays attention to the details, from the wine list, the drink selections to the ingredients in each plate.

Had a great meal here - appetizers, entrees and delicious zabaglione for dessert with fresh strawberries. We were starving and I really loved the food. The gemmelini with cream sauce is a great "extra" entree to order but share amongst the table so everyone gets a taste. The wine list was comprehensive and had bottles and glasses to fit pallets and budgets.

Service from the waitresses was great. The brunette server assistants were totally ignoring us, which was annoying. They didn't give me bread, but gave my husband two piece. They didn't refill our water. She took my plate while I was still eating! Maybe I'd be less hungry if you gave me bread. That was frustrating but everything else was fine.

We were even graciously greeted by Marcelo himself. Very nice touch. I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area. The pork cutlet and pastas are absolutely delicious!
