This was always a goto standard for me growing up in NOLA. I must admit I haven't been in a couple of years but it just doesn't seem the same. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Food was delivered quickly from kitchen and was served at appropriate temperature. Portion sizes were ok, but taste just wasnt the same. Booth and table looked liked it belonged in buds broiler, menu seemed to be very scaled back and an overall " just getting by" aesthetic. I wouldn't not go back, but something has been lost.

Truly delicious meals are made here. Such pride in delivering traditional Asian-American cuisine. Ask for specialty meals without the american flare! You won't regret it.

I had the clay pot tofu with chicken, shrimp, and bamboo shoots. It was great! The best tofu I've ever had. I wish I knew how to make it like that. If you get it ask for chopsticks to eat it (if you can use them) for the best flavor.

Gross. Ordered Mongolian beef, this is not what I ordered and is no where near what Mongolian beef is. Also took over an hour and a half to be delivered.

Mediocre Chinese food. Dumplings dough was raw with a tasteless filling. BBQ ribs were tough. Did not eat either of the above Veggie fried rice was average but the baby bok choy was very good Delivery through GrubHub

There are so many good places now and that's not even including the explosion of Vietnamese, Thai, Korean etc. The food is tasty and it's a nice place to have sit down Chinese if you're looking for a generic Chinese American style place with food you grew up with and don't want divy hole in the wall environs. I don't think flavor wise it holds a candle to bao and noodle or reds kitchen. The dumplings were exceptional. Not super doughy with tasty filling.

Hands down the best Chinese food in New Orleans (and the Northshore for that matter). I usually stop by at the Five Happiness after shopping at Costco since its right across the street. On Tuesday, we tried couple of dinner platters for $14.99 per person which comes with egg roll, soup (wanton and hot and sour), shrimp fried rice and choice of one of the entrees, beef with broccoli in hot garlic sauce and General's chicken. We've tried their lunch menu and house specialties and everything is good here so do give it a try. Service is always courteous, prompt and professional.
