Beautiful place. maybe it was a fluke, but I wasn't impressed with the staff. There are no signs for restrooms and I couldn't find any staff to ask where they were. The bar was unmanned for the first part of happy hour, some guests were literally serving themselves and no staff batted an eye while they were moving tables around. Three chairs were missing from our table when we went to sit down and two people at our table didn't get their meals until after the rest of us were already finished eating.

And while the wedding cake (don't know if they made it) was good, their cakes that came as part of the dessert bar were so stale they were hard to bite. I wouldn't have my wedding here.

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! Yes, we were here for a wedding reception. The stock photo doesn't do it justice. The whole estate if lovely.

I got married here in 2013 and love going back any chance I get. The staff is always very accommodating and a pleasure to interact with. The food is excellent. My only issue is always filling up on the awesome hors d'oeuvres before the main meal.

Beautiful venue, top-notch service, and incredible food. Attended a wedding that had an outdoor ceremony, with cocktail hour in the main hall and spilling onto the patio. The dinner was in the banquet hall with dancing and fun all evening. So many great places to take photos. Plenty of parking. You and your guests will be treated very well. Every detail is attended to. Highly recommend!

My company provided a photo booth for a wedding at this beautiful venue at the beginning of the year. The food was amazing and the staff so kind! Twinkle Photo Booth hopes to return soon!

This is a really cool and fun venue. My cousin had his wedding reception here and it was a blast. The architecture and history are beautifully preserved. The wine cellar tasting was delightful. The outdoor fire pit gave a nice ambiance to the event. But the ballroom is what was truly immaculate.

The Knowlton Mansion is a breathtaking venue, and the staff of Conroy Catering are unmatched. Our event coordinator, Rebecca, was incredibly wonderful and efficient, and helped produce an absolute dream of a wedding. Our main attendant Dani was SUPERB. She always made sure we had food and drinks at hand, she made sure we wanted for nothing, and she was so upbeat the entire time.

Every server and attendant was professional, kind, prompt, efficient - I cannot recommend them enough. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't change a single thing.

Went to the Knowlton Mansion for a wedding. It's is absolutely beautiful there. The food and service were outstanding! The mansion, built in the early 1800's was so charming as you looked at the furnishings. The tops was the wine cellar which was magnificent. Wish we had a reception a month there!

This place is beautiful I love walking past and seeing the different events. I worked here as a child also! It was a great experience

Beautiful location for a wedding with a very private feel that let's you forget you're not far from the city.

Our daughter just had her wedding there. I cannot say enough positive about the experience. The food was fabulous. The dessert table was extraordinary. The setting was beautiful and unusual (there is a wine cellar for wine tasting during the event). The staff was truly exemplary. Everything was literally perfect. I wish it were happening again this weekend!

I grew up 15 mins from this venue but didn't know it existed until the wedding I went to last night. It's beautiful on the inside and out. The outdoor space where the ceremony was held was really nice. The gardens, landscaping and trees are all well maintained. It's clearly a historic site but the necessary updates have been added for contemporary needs. Highly recommend it for your occasion!

We arranged for my son's memorial and life celebration at Knowlton Mansion. We planned on appetizers, desserts, beer, wine, and soft drinks for 200 estimated guests. We ended up hosting over 300 people, and the venue managed to accommodate the entire crowd with ease! The servers were entirely professional, and everyone raved about the food and the beautiful building and gardens.

I highly recommend Knowlton Mansion for weddings or any other celebration. Our event started at 4pm, and the daylight allowed everyone to appreciate the outstanding surroundings in addition to the interior of the building itself. I highly recommend this venue!

I owned a photo booth company and I was at many many events invl. Wedding, Sweet16, etc. But I have never seen such an impressive venue. The food was exquisite and the cake was delicious and the staff was so attentive. The venue with the Wine Cellar was just breathe taking. Beautiful venue both inside and outside (it rained on my wedding day and I was not sad at all!) Food is yummy and the staff is professional! Wedding got postponed twice and I could not be more thankful about how the venue handled the situation. I would recommend this place to any couple!

We not only set up a wedding at this venue (I'm a florist) but we also attended the wedding (the bride's parents are good friends) and we had a fantastic time. The venue is gorgeous and very comfortable. All the staff were so nice (both for during the wedding set up and as attendees) and my hubby and I were extremely impressed with the food.

Everything was just perfect and considering that we just coming out of a pandemic, we could not have been more pleased with our day spent at Knowlton Mansion! Highly recommend if you are looking for a gorgeous place to hold an event.

First thing, this is an historical mansion recognized by The National Register of Historical Places. Knowlton Mansion is a large gothic style multilevel home with large grounds. I visited for a baby shower but I also had a quick mini tour. Inside most of its historical integrity has been maintained. Outside the grounds are lovely and manicured to perfection with view for a almost spooky glaring lights shining on the house in the evening.

This would make a perfect haunted house or a place to take your children for trick-or-treat. But truly the inside is a stunner it's decorated with decor that appears to be between the late 1800 and early 1900s. The attachment or extra space built at the side or back of the home is where you have catered events. This space is very large and can accommodate 200-300 people if not more.

On the grounds there's a beautiful Pergola where I'm sure a bride and groom can take the most stunning pictures. The staircase inside can also make for a great photo op! The staff was friendly, the house and grounds are a stunner. I will have to do some research to see if they catered the event because everything I mean everything was delicious.

I went to a wedding here Friday night. Everything was awesome. The food (appetizers, meal, dessert) was great. The staff were nice. Great place for a wedding.

My son and daughter in law had their wedding at Knowlton Mansion in December 2017. What a beautiful time of the year to get married at Knowlton Mansion. The staff was amazing as was the food. I highly recommend!

Eileen and Danielle made our day perfection. On your wedding day, you don't have time to worry about details and specifics and with Knowlton, we didn't have to. Every single pinterest idea I had that i threw at them, they took with ease leading up to the big day. His and Her Cocktails? Last minute live music for cocktail hour? Private champagne toast?

They took it all in stride. Lori was always quick to respond and super flexible when my hair and makeup people showed up a full hour before they were supposed to. Food was great, and everyone complimented how beautifully decorated the venue was. I would highly recommend Knowlton to anyone.

My wife and I got married here about a month ago. I really thought that planning a wedding was going to be an unpleasant experience, but they made it a breeze. Great looking venue, easy to work/communicate with, and all of our guests said that the food was fantastic. We also got lots of compliments about the venue itself. Having a "day of" staff is something that we would not have thought we needed, but having Eileen and Danielle help us out throughout the day was awesome. They kept the day/agenda on track and also went out of their way to make sure that us and our parents had fresh drinks etc. Would definitely recommend.

Had our wedding here 2 July 2016. It was nothing short of amazing. The staff was efficient and friendly. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Thank you all again!

I was a guest here for a wedding & it was one of the best weddings I went to. The ballroom was gorgeous & spacious enough. Clean bathrooms, great food. Nice little spot to have ceremony outside with seating area outside as well. Fire pit outside to keep guests warm during cold nights. Inside the mansion was really pretty & lots of antiques.

This place was beautiful. I was there for a brunch wedding reception and enjoyed it. The food was tasty. Good beer options for the open bar. I liked the historical character of the building. If I had to point out something not so great it would be that the servers were a bit pushy. They kept trying to clear plates from people while they were still eating.

I think it was because they were in a hurry to get us through and set up for another wedding being held right after ours. Anyways, I would recommend this place to anyone seeking a nice venue for an event.

I've never been to a weeding or a party here but before they opened it they had a tour I attended. It's really nice inside. This is also the location I go to vote. I always wanted to attend an event here and will jump at it if given the chance.

I can't say enough good things about this venue! I had my ceremony and reception here on 5/16/15 and it was magical. Jeannie was the manager who made sure everything went smoothly all day long. We had a bridal assistant named Dee who was the best! We never had an empty drink in our hands and she made sure we got to try all of the food which was delicious.

I am still hearing compliments about the food and the service. The grounds were beautiful and they mansion felt like a fairytale. I worked with Lori to plan everything and that was such a pleasant experience. She was quick to respond when I had questions and was always so sweet. I have not one negative thing to say. It was just the perfect day thanks to them! I would recommend this venue to anyone.

Absolutely stunning grounds and an ideal place to hold a wedding or reception. We went to our friends' wedding here, and we came away impressed with the property and its versatility. So, everything about Knowlton Mansion is five stars except the employees. They are in a huge rush and, frankly, quite rude. Twice, I needed to get an employee's attention for a pressing matter. One, the men's bathroom was completely out of paper towels.

And two, a drink had been dropped, and glass had been shattered on the dance floor. Both times, employees walked right by me as I attempted to get their attention (including one time, even tapping one of them on the shoulder.she still walked right by). Luckily, I was able to get someone else's attention, but you simply should not treat your patrons this way.

I just had my daughter's wedding here and I 100% satisfied with everything. The venue is beautiful, the staff is courteous, helpful and available. The grounds are "to die for", and the food was "out of this world". I can't say enough how pleased I am. The office/corporate staff is so easy to work with and are always available. Our main person was Lori, and she is a doll, and very professional. I recommended this venue to everyone who wants to have an elegant wedding.

The sister property to Conroy Catering's Glen Foerd Mansion, Knowlton Mansion is a gorgeous venue for any special event. The place retains much of its character from when it truly was a house. Living areas are furnished accordingly and seem to flow into the ballroom area. A cellar that is primarily used for cigar smoking feels like something out of an old castle; gray stone surrounds and old barrels and bottles and books are all over the place.

Probably for effect, but I totally bought into it. As always, Conroy Catering put out a fantastic spread at a recent holiday party. Hors d' oeuvres included spicy quesadilla slivers, curried shrimp salad, mini crabcakes and a fabulous sushi presentation. Dinner consisted of three stations; Creole, Italian and American. I didn't even hit up all three, going straight for the filet, green beans and scalloped potatoes at the American station and supplementing with some Caesar salad, gourmet cheeses and assorted charcuterie from the Italian station.

While the desserts looked fantastic, I instead opted for a cup of coffee topped with fresh whipped cream. and Jameson. I highly recommend Knowlton Mansion and Conroy Catering for any large scale event for a lovely experience that will leave a lasting impression.
