Colonial Terrace, family owned & operated since 1945, has helped families corporations and charitable organizations create 1000's of memorable affairs, productive meetings and charitable events. The Mansion, which dates back to the mid 1800's, is a shining example of the Hudson Valley's old-world charm.

Absolutely adore this place! Attended quite a few parties at the mansion and had a blast at every single one of them! The staff is incredible, hard working and always available to party go-ers. They're very attentive and kind. Alan and Sheila truly are one of a kind, and helped give many people great parties, and better memories. Love the Mansion at Colonial Terrace, and all the people there

Our school had our Junior Prom here recently and it was a HUGE disappointment. Let me first say we have had our prom here in the past and asked for the same contract this time around. Last time it was lovely and food was abundant. What we received this time was completely different. Upon arrival, we were greeted by noticing a leak in the roof that was putting water on the dance floor.

After expressing concern, a bucket was placed in the middle of the dance floor. There was water damage in the rooms we were in. Chairs and rugs were stained and damaged. Ten minutes into the event, the boys bathroom was overflowing. The cocktail hour was nonexistent. I barely saw any appetizers being passed around. Dinner was "ehh" and dessert was a sad excuse for a sundae bar.

For an event costing $21,000 we expected MORE food. Again, nothing like the last time we were there. During the evening, water was dripping on us from additional leaks in the roof. Staff was unprofessional and not helpful. When we asked if the students could have more water put on their tables, they rolled their eyes. I understand this was not a wedding, however, I expected our students to be treated to a beautiful event, and what we received was a sad excuse.

We will never use this facility again. This venue is in need of MAJOR renovations and upgrades. Since there is obvious signs of existing water damage, it is evident that staff knew of this issue before we even arrived. Photos attached show garbage left on the front porch which greeted our students and water damage on ceilings and chairs. This was completely unacceptable. Sloppy and poor presentation.

Our students danced the night away and had a lovely time due to our fabulous DJ. But this venue was a complete disappointment. A stark difference from the last time we were there.

A great location for an event bearing in mind the comments listed below : 1. The grounds are beautiful but the building is a bit dated and could use some refreshing. 2. Would advise interested individuals to be definitive regarding their requirements and put in writing. 3. Ensure that set up and break down time is included in the discussions and signed off on as you might get a rude awakening. Overall, customer service can definitely be improved by management but the waiting staff were courteous and attentive. The function I attended turned out beautiful in the end notwithstanding challenges experienced. Grounds 4/5 Building 3/5 Food 4/5 Customer Service 2/5

Attended an event here and this is an older venue but the wait staff was not very good, in fact we had to make them aware that no one had taken our orders at our table and the food was due to be served. The configuration of the room was very odd as well. Food was very tasty though which made the rest not seem so bad.

Was there for a luncheon gathering. Very nice park-like setting and manicured grounds. Elegant and clean facility. Catered food and staff were courteous and dressed professionally. The only downside that I could see is that the men's and women's room are down on the lower level and the stairs are winders, which could make it hard for older people and those with physical impairments. They do have accessible toilet room on the main level.

Was there recently for a sweet sixteen and the was no A/C "Air Condition" all the guest had to deal with the upmost drench of sweat making breathing extremely uncomfortable. Not enough ventilation for a crowd of people. I would not recommend this place.

What a joyous surprise reunion with my first employer at the age of 16. I was in the area reliving my past when I had the desire to pay a visit to see if my bosses were still there. Thank you Alan and Sheila for the generous amount of time that you both spent with Tim Gillen ( father and founder of The Everett and Austin Project ) and for your thoughtful donation to Tim to assist his project in Uganda, Africa. It will definitely be a day to remember. I loved my first job as a kitchen aide and Alan and Jack ( and the handsome busboys) made my fond lasting memories happen.

If you are having a function and need a place to host it, the Mansion is a beautiful and classy place to hold your special occasion. I was there twice and both times the place and staff were nice and professional. Downsides, it is in Westchester, the rural part, so if you live in NYC, your travel time could be upwards of an hour. And the hill from the parking lot and steps to the front door, if you have issues walking, assistance may be needed. Otherwise, it will check alot, if not, all your boxes if you do decide to have your function here.
