I had the big nasty and it was great. Today was my first time trying this place.

I absolutely love Chris Z's! I've had breakfast there several times and have never been disappointed. Their dish called "The Big Nasty" is the best breakfast dish served in Birmingham in my humble opinion. The only problem I have with it is it's size. It's a huge amount of food, but it's so good I can't stop eating until it's all gone and then I'm so stuffed I can't hardly move. I like to think I have self control, but "The Big Nasty" owns me!

Nice little gem of a place! Friendly folks and great prices. Picking up my order couldn't be easier. Try the sauce on a burger - it's great.

Great locally owned breakfast/lunch spot. I always make a point to get breakfast here when I'm in the area. Their food is always prepared fresh by smiling staff. From omelets and hashbrowns to hot dogs and burgers, their food always leaves me happy.

Good food at a good price. Greasy hole in the wall places, like this, will always be a favourite of mine. Straightforward, unpretentious, menu featuring burgers, sandwiches, hotdogs, and a few breakfast staples in sufficient portions at fair prices. Definitely worth a visit. For those with allergen concerns: as of my visit here (7/January/2020), they fry using vegetable oil. (Best to call and confirm before your own visit, just to be sure)

A favorite breakfast and lunch place. Affordable, tasty food and good portions. The Big Nasty which is hash browns with a choice of meat and two eggs on top is highly recommended. A meal that will last you all day. If that's too much, they also offer a Little Nasty which is half size. Omelets are also recommended. Must try lunch sometime. Tried the Chris Z dog, for breakfast yet.

Highly recommended if you're a hot dog person at all. A large weiner is butterflied and grilled to brown perfection then placed on a bun and smothered in their special sauce and all the other trimmings. A super example of the Birmingham hot dog. Recently raised rating from 3 to 4 stars. Consistently good.

Great homemade breakfast, prepared the spot, quickly. Very reasonably priced, will come for lunch one day
