Best spot in Marshall to get a quick, delicious lunch! The soups & sandwiches are great!

Overall, good restaurant. Like their spiced tea, chicken salad is amazing and good sandwiches. However, I beg the owners to amend their menu to show that their quiche is crustless. There's nothing wrong with a frittata, ahem, crustless quiche, but one should be aware that this is what they are ordering. If the crustless quiche were so fantastic that I didn't miss the crust, it wouldn't be an issue, but your quiche needs a crust or addendum to let people know it is crustless. I HIGHLY recommend their chicken salad, either as a sandwich or a plate. Best I have had. Also love their pasta salad or fruit sides.

Awesome food, great employees, and a wonderful vibrance brought to my day. I personally love the "Spicy Bird" sandwich they offer, but with so many delicious items to choose from, it's almost impossible to pick one item.

The Don Parks is a dang good sandwich. I like to try new things when I find a good spot but I don't know if I will ever order anything other than this. Ordered online, it was ready to go and it's such a cute spot. I can't wait to eat in store and walk around the cute antique store it's attached to.

Food and service are great. Exotic sweet tea is absolutely delicious. But what really sets this restaurant apart from others in town is their sensitivity to dietary needs and preferences. When ordering a black bean burger they asked if I wanted regular mayo or vegan mayo. When ordering a meat entree, they asked if all toppings were ok. Different options for buns and sides. Vegan and gluten free cookies. Always nice to see, especially in a town where it's extremely rare!

This is a great little coffee shop in downtown Marshall. If I could give it a 4.5 I would as it was almost a five. Our food was very good. If you're into ambiance this place has it, it's a coffee shop alongside a vintage / antique store in a turn of the century department store building. I had the Cubano sandwich, which was quite good if a bit different from a traditional Cuban sandwich.

At first I was disappointed the bread was not pressed like a traditional Cuban sandwich, nor was it the more typical French bread. But the wheat bun was very good and tasted homemade. So I'll say it was an excellent Cuban influence sandwich! Service was great. And if I'd been in a coffee mood I'm guessing their coffee would have been good as well as it had all the makings of a good coffee shop.

Instead I had iced tea, which was fine. So why not a five? Both my wife and I felt it was a 4.5. for me I guess it was it felt just a little bit too trendy, was trying to hard. I would have been happier if it was a diner vibe, but that wouldn't necessarily work with the antique store. For my wife it was that the food was just a little bit expensive for what you got. It's still a great place and if you're looking for a sandwich or a cup of coffee I'd give it a try.

We discovered this lovely establishment a quite a few years back when we stared going to the Marshall Christmas Parade annually. I have to give it 5 Stars for how well the staff stays poised during this very busy night in Marshall. They will get your order out, fresh and so good, despite the crowds. We always stand right near this store to enjoy the parade and visit neighboring establishments as well.

This is our favorite because I can find a fabulous pair of vintage earrings and order giant yummy sandwiches to enjoy there or on the road or back in our travel accommodations. I LOVED the Club Sandwich I ordered parade night this year. So delicious and rustic if you will, not a weird wet franchise sandwich. The Chocolate Cake was soft, fragrant and I loved every morsel of it. So fun to wonder around this eatery & store - please don't change!

Everything is delicious! The staff and owners are sweet and thoughtful. This Cubano sandwich is AMAZING! That roast just melts in your mouth.

Last Friday night many from the Class of 1970 gathered at Central Perks in the Weisman Center and it was an exceptional place to meet up. The food, wine selection and atmosphere were wonderful. Thank you Savanah, you kept check on our every need. Sweetest and most thoughtful owners, Deb & Robert. We talked and laughed till our side hurt so go enjoy gathering with friends and family there.

Went there twice. Both times were a pleasant experience, good food, nice atmosphere, quick service.

What a wonderful surprise! We were looking for a place in between Dallas and Vicksburg for Saturday lunch with gluten free options for my wife and online I stumbled upon Central Perks. Honestly, I was hoping for something right off of I-20, but once I called to inquire about their GF options and then called back to get good non-GPS directions, I felt like we needed to go there because they were so friendly and helpful on the phone.

So glad we did! This restaurant is right downtown, very appealing area, sidewalk tables plus lots of dining space inside a building that was a historic store in the area, now houses the restaurant and lots of merchandise for sale (everything from antiques to tchotchkes). We ordered cheeseburgers (hers without a bun) and chips to go, and they were delicious, meaty, well-cooked.

The people who worked there were just as appealing in person. The menu, though not extensive, offers something for just about everyone, from salads to burgers to wraps to sandwiches to quiche to spuds. First-rate coffee options too. Definitely worth a very short detour from the interstate.

Great atmosphere! Personable server and cashier. Unfortunately we ordered the chicken salad. It was the worst I've ever been served. Menu says blended chicken but it was huge tasteless hunks of meat. Grapes were mushy. Sadly, the Best thing about it was the celery. Really should remove this from the menu.

Cute place, staff was very friendly. Chicken salad was a bit flavorless and the chunks of chicken need to be way smaller. Pasta salad was good. I would like to go back and try something different.

Not one staff member was wearing a mask here. When asking the older man about it he responded that it's not a law but a recommendation by the state. Knowing three people that have lost family members in the past week to covid, this is a joke. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else.

Dropped in here on the way bk to Dallas from N.E. La this weekend expecting to find a quaint, small coffee shoppe with a limited menu. What a surprise, a huge space filled with retail (3/4) and dining (1/4) with upper stories devoted to furniture and art. Pretty, pretty, cool. Anyway, since there was a large seating area and social distancing was assured, we decided to dine in.

I had the roasted pork samwich topped w/Chili Verde, cheese, tomato and lettuce on an onion bun. Absolutely huge and delicious. Wife had the Don Parks samwich, ham, avocado, bacon, onion, etc., with a creamy jalapeno cream cheese dressing. She liked the sandwich but thought the dressing was too sweet. I strongly disagree, it was perfect. Don't tell her I said that tho. All in all, a great meal, leisurely paced, with all employees and customers observing masking and social distancing. Loved it and we'll be back

Everyone was super freindly. Very helpful. Great atmosphere. Coffee was awesome. Good was incredible. Great place to relax.

Central Perks is a quaint restaurant in the downtown area of Marshall. I was here from out of town for work and this place was recommended. I had the spicy chicken with pasta salad. It took a little longer to come out than what I had planned for a lunch break, but the staff was very friendly and the food was good. The portions were big and overall I would try it again.

The turkey club was absolutely delicious this is a most definitely a good place to visit and eat the people where nice and the food was great

No wonder this spot is on Trip Advisor -- the menu options and attached antique store make this a must stop in Marshall. We had the Chicken on the Green salad, The Chop Salad and The Classic burger on an onion roll. I also tried the Lobster Bisque soup. 12/10 would eat here again!

Delicious! I'm sad I don't live close enough to go more often. The salads were fresh and flavorful. The tomato soup was sweet and very unique. The owners were friendly and the building is quaint. I would love to go back.

Had a delicious salad and cinnamon cappuccino here. Very nice place to have lunch. All of the salads and the tomato basil soup are gf. The menu is very upscale. The antique shop is adjoining and was fun to shop in. I will go back the next time I'm in Marshall.

Excellent food! Had Spinach Quiche. Came with delightful side salad, fruit, and a slice of banana nut bread. After eating you can browse through the antiques. Lots to see. Highly recommend!

My husband and I stopped here today as we were traveling through Marshall. We ordered "This Wich is on Fire" and it was so delicious! Turkey pastrami topped with Swiss cheese, avocado, red onion & jalapenos with mayo on an onion roll. Oh, how we wished we had ordered our own sandwiches instead of sharing! The "Lemon Squares" that we ate for dessert were melt in your mouth delicious!

We left very satisfied! By the way, everyone was genuinely friendly and the restaurant is so artfully decorated with all sorts of pretties to look at or even buy! I can't wait to go back! Terri W.

Excellent establishment. Wonderful food, wonderful owners, wonderful staff, wonderful service, wonderful atmosphere. You can tell people actually love working here. Plus it is SUPER CLEAN. The kitchen is spotless. This place is a gem. Definitely something unique in Marshall. Try anything. You can't go wrong here.

Loved the place. I had bleu cheese burger with pasta. It was very good. Hubby had the classic burger with fruit. Strange fruit plating. Some loose grapes and half of a banana still in the peel. Lol. The staff was sooooo nice and friendly. I will definitely go back and try other stuff.

I stopped here on the way to Dallas for some quick take-out. I got the Texas Heat burger with spicy jalapeño cream cheese and a side of fruit (all vegan). It was amazing! The burger is absolutely amazing and the cream cheese is to die for. There's an entire vegan menu, which is great for vegans and people interested in trying new things.

I've been coming to Marshall my whole life and never knew downtown existed. The sweetest people, great food and great coffee!!! I will be back!!

I ordered the ham and cheese quiche with a side of tomato basil soup. Everything was delicious!!! I had a hard time choosing what to eat but I'm sure everything they serve is good!

VEGAN OPTIONS! They offer vegan options, delicious ones at that. The entire staff was very sweet, we're really only passing by but very glad we found it! I had already ate half my sandwich but here's some photos!

I was here for a week last spring. This amazing place in Texas HAS THE BEST FOOD in town. And, as good as the food is the owners and company are even more memorable
