Our small but mighty team dreamed big in early 2000 when we launched our catering company. Chef John Schopp and his Wife Karen discovered they were really good at feeding people who appreciate fresh cooked food with attention to detail.AND they loved doing it. Fast forward several years. Owning a wedding venue means we have a lot of catering companies coming in and out and Center Stage is absolutely the best! After servicing numerous weddings for us they are one out of the 3 catering companies on our preferred list. The owners, team and food is amazing! We love Center Stage and we know you will too!

John and Karen are long-time friends of mine and I've been able to work with them many times over the years at weddings and various events in SWVA. They are some of the best people to work with and their creations for foods are on par with the best in the nation. I truly love working with them and their teams at weddings. CSC catered our son's wedding in October. We could not have been happier. Quess that's why they continue to be one of the top rated weding vendors in SW Virginia by Virginia Living Magazine. For the pick up menu, I recommend the baked and grilled pork and vegies dinners. My favorite is the meatloaf. For when they have breakfast, cannot beat the maple sausage. Smoked brisket sandwich was yummy and huge. Their Cubano was the best.

It was posted in their facebook they would have Cinnamon buns. I arrived at 9:07AM this morning (opened at 9am) and 50 minutes later left with an omelette and shrimp & grits. Sold out of cinnamon buns. The main reason we went. Several people who arrived after me were called to get their orders & pay. Even another customer commented that I must have a large order.
I said no, just an egg, grits, and 2 cinnamon buns. Even once I got my order I had to request silverware. They seemed completely unorganized, and should have announced they were out of something instead of waiting until they call me up. It's pretty reasonable to want what you ordered 7 minutes after they were open. I won't be returning and don't recommend based on this first impression.

My inlaws used Center Stage as the catering for our rehearsal dinner. It was AMAZING! They did a variety of pizzas, with a fresh salad (wonderful dressings), and cute mason jar strawberry shortcakes. Everyone raved about the food! They were so helpful with the setup and cleanup of the event. I highly suggest their work at your event :)

It was a pleasure working with Karen and CSC from day 1! I always looked forward to my meetings and phone calls with Karen. She is so personable and is the type of person you want to stay in touch with even after the event is over. CSC is full of culinary geniuses - we received so many compliments after our wedding! The service, quality, and creativity of their food was worth every penny. Thank you for making our wedding reception so special! I hope we get the opportunity to work with Center Stage again!
