First Choice Catering is a familiar name in DeSoto County. Owner John Woods has served fancy fares to everyone from new brides and event attendees, to heads of state and celebrities since 1995. With humble beginnings, a tiny deli grew into a catfish haven, which soon rocketed the mild-mannered chef into new culinary heights.

Located in Horn Lake, Mississippi, the First Choice Catering Banquet Hall and Wedding Chapel has been described as "Affordable Elegance" by many of its clients. The stained concrete and tile floors, tall draped ceilings and spacious practical layout are the perfect combination for any type of an events.

I recently used First Choice Catering for my husband's "60th" birthday celebration and it was Amazing! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was awesome. I would definitely recommend this venue. Mr. John Woods and his wife Cindy were very easy to work with. I will definitely be a repeat customer for future events.

First Choice Catering catered both of my daughters' weddings. Yes, the food was exquisite, but the best thing is the total reliability of John Woods and his staff. Once the menu was selected, we never had to worry about anything. First Choice had everything set up beautifully. One reception was a sit-down dinner, and one was buffet, both for over 200 guests.
The service was flawless. We had guests from throughout the US, and we received wonderful compliments about the food and the service. I have also used First Choice for receptions at work, and the same excellence was apparent. I highly recommend First Choice!

Five stars for you! We've had the honor to have First Choice cater our company luncheons on several different occasions. The customer service is ALWAYS superb and the food is absolutely delicious. First Choice has done several events for our warehouse and knocked it out of the park each time. They handled a staff of 400+ and 2 shifts. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. I would recommend using them for anything from a small event to a large event. John the owner is on top of things and has a wonderful staff to complete the job.

I appreciate their willingness to accommodate and be flexible in helping create our menus. John is dedicated to providing quality service and food.
