Hubby and I stayed here for a 3 night stay. We loved it! The room was so beautiful. Super clean. The location is perfect. Just a walk away from the main street or super short drive. Breakfast was delicious! We were so happy in the mornings for breakfast. Check in process is super quick and the staff is wonderful. It is a bed and breakfast type of place so please do not compare it to a hotel.

It is super charming and just the place for a weekend getaway or even a nice long trip! They serve refreshments in the living room area also. Only thing I wish they had is housekeeping if you are staying for more than 1 day. Other than that we would definitely be back if we come back in this area.

UPDATE: After many emails and phone calls the GM did graciously refund my money. Thanks! I am sure this is a very nice place to stay, however I did not get the opportunity nor would I ever in the future. I reserved a non- refundable room in order to save $50. But I booked it on the wrong day. I did Saturday, but needed Friday. I called immediately to let them know, but they were completely booked on Friday and refuse to give my money back.

So now I am out $240. So much for my $50 savings. From a business point of view this is completely unethical. My plans were not changed I just did a stupid thing and made a mistake on the calendar. We were to be passing through Bethlehem on a Friday. This has put a bad taste in my mouth for the entire city and I have no desire to stop there.

This was a fantastic experience. It is a beautiful old house and a beautiful part of our country. The staff are very professional and super friendly. My room was spacious and immaculate. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. If you are visiting the area, this is the place to stay.

Nice property. Internet on top level non existent. Bed too soft for two persons. Breakfast and breakfast staff are GREAT. Shares same external noise as rest of Bethlehem.cars and trains but dead quiet inside. Fix beds and wifi and this place would be just fine

I attempted to make a reservation for the afternoon tea party. Made my first call knowing at the desk I left a message. Got to call back I could not get to my phone in time so I missed it. Call them right back once again could not get to a live person left a message that I definitely wanted to be present that the only available time was perfect but I knew I needed to give them credit card information I would attempt to call them back later but if they could call me that would be great.

No call back and now when I'm calling later I am told that everything has been forwarded to the caterer and because I didn't pay yet I don't have a reservation. It's a $35 tea party with assorted sandwiches, cookies, baked treats. I don't think you make 4.5 treats for each person. Generally the idea is the number of cookies etc you make feed 18 to 20 to 25 25 to 30.

There's no exact number. I am somewhat surprised that caterer wouldn't be able to get one more in or they couldn't at least offer to call me back the next day, tomorrow morning. I think two phone calls showed I was very interested in it and I am most annoyed by their lack of customer service. I certainly will never attend anything at the Sayre.

LOVED our stay here. The mansion is gorgeous, the staff was so nice, the room was clean, and breakfast was delicious. My only recommendation would be to book your stay through their site directly rather than using a third party service so there is no miscommunication and so that this business can make the profit it deserves.

I received this overnight stay as a Christmas gift. It was a great way to experience the architecture first-hand. The rooms are decorated quaintly, and the beds are very comfortable, other hotel guests agree. The breakfast area is charming, with self-serve or a hot breakfast ready to order. The staff and waitstaff are very friendly, and I recommend this place to anyone interested in history or a unique boutique hotel experience.

Hotel was great. Steward was very kind and attentive to my needs. Only complaint I have is the location of the mansion. You will be victim to honking horns and loud traffic all through the night. Not any fault of the hotel's- but definitely something that affects the pleasantry of the stay.

We had our wedding at Sayre Mansion on 12/11/21 and everything was perfect. The staff was incredible, friendly, so easy to work with, and supported us every step of the way. The mansion was charming and beautiful with so much character. I can't even describe how amazing the food/service was especially for "The Founder's Dinner" which was a 7 course experience for 12 that was spectacular! We really loved this place and can't wait to come back!

The room and service is outstanding! The complimentary breakfast far exceeds anything I have ever experienced. The mansions ambiance was historical, warm and inviting! I plan on making Sayre Mansion my Holiday getaway.

My Mom and I stayed 2 nites at the Sayre Mansion this December, to visit Bethlehem at holiday time. It was the perfect location for us because it was not right in downtown, but it was a walk away or a short drive, so it was out of the hustle bustle (which Bethlehem is a bustle for sure at Holiday Time!), but close enough! We walked into town 1 day (about 15-20 minutes over the bridge) and at nite, we drove.

Location was perfect! The staff - Sarah, Jacob, Mindy, Stefan and 1 more woman who chatted with us by the fire - were all absolutely lovely and so kind. There is complimentary breakfast with a full menu each morning and each meal was EXCELLENT! Praline French Toast, Omelets, Hot Oats, and always coffee cakes, fruit and other goodies. There is always coffee & tea in the lobby, and port wine in the evenings in the parlor.

The Christmas Tree Room or main parlor room was my favorite place to just sit and chat, relax after an outing and enjoy the fireplace. I loved that room so much! Our room was very spacious with lovely high ceilings and 3 windows looking over Bethlehem. The beds were comfy and room was perfectly clean & everything functioning. Our only 2 small improvements that we did mention on our Room Eval was that the room (26) could use more lighting or brighter lights.

And lastly, the Mansion does not have an elevator, nor luggage carts for the trip from the car, so getting luggage (and coolers/food) up the stairs and back down and then out to the car was a little cumbersome. Mindy was awesome and helped Mom schlep her stuff upstairs, but I think even some carts on hand would help. I understand the building is historic and elevators are not a thing.

I also understand that staff cannot always drop what they are doing to move in each new client. I didn't mind, but I can see how folks older than myself might. All in All, we are so glad we found such a magical gem of a place for our Holiday visit!

My husband and I had a great one-night stay at the Sayre Mansion! We stayed in the conservatory and were very impressed with the room. Great views and the bed was extremely comfortable! We really liked the location of the mansion which is within walking distance to local shops, bars, and restaurants. Breakfast was good. I rated 4 stars (instead of 5) because I was expecting the mansion to be more true to its original form and less like a hotel. But all in all, it was a very positive experience and I would consider returning in the future.

I can't do half stars - but I want to give this 4.5 stars. I have nothing but praise for the mansion itself. We are not from the area and came down to spend Thanksgiving with family and wanted a more intimate place to stay. The hotel is comfortable, with cozy intimate rooms. There is a great parlor downstairs, good coffee, and a great breakfast each morning.

My only reason for taking a half a star off, and my tip for those that are considering the property is that I was not from the area so was rather surprised to see the property sandwiched in the middle of a pretty active city and at the corner of a busy intersection. I expected an estate with more property and a little more remote. This is probably my own mistake, but my tip is this: Look/ask about your room layout if possible, as the rooms that face Wyandotte Street have really loud traffic noise all night. Wyandotte is a straight shot onto a highway, so people decide to act like they're drag racing and the exhaust noise is really loud. PA must not have a noise ordinance for car exhaust/mufflers.

I still slept fine on the comfortable bed, but it woke me up a few times as I'm a light sleeper. Other rooms at other parts of the property probably do not experience this. Clearly this is no fault of the actual hotel, just the set up and the folks that are trying out for the next Fast and Furious movie. On the other hand - Bethlehem was a huge surprise because it was decked out for the holidays and absolutely charming.

There were tons of great restaurants right nearby. So being closer to a city was an unexpected boon in that regard. I would stay here again (would try to get the conservatory room) and would recommend it to anyone. It's a great place.

Excellent experience! If you are in bethlehem you HAVE to stay at the Sayre Mansion! It's the cutest little place that treats you like royalty. My girl friends and I stayed three nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our time. My favorite was sitting in the parlor enjoying a glass of the complimentary port wine next to the fire.

In April, four of us reserved four rooms for a Saturday night stay in mid-July. Once we checked in, three in the party received plush, charming rooms worthy of newlyweds, but the fourth room -- room 15, which went for the same high price as the others -- was beyond dreary: four square walls facing a catering tent, which meant the window blinds had to be kept shut at all times.

The only adornment was three throw pillows on the bed. All the rooms went the for same price, and the hotel was fully booked for the weekend, which meant no switching spaces. To add injury to insult, the ground-floor room was situated directly next to the kitchen; starting at 6am Sunday, pots banged, doors slammed, and kitchen talk was at full pitch.

Upon checkout, I voiced my displeasure, and was told I was not the first one to mention the substandard level of the room. (The staff member went so far as to say the space would be better used as an office.) I requested a call from management, which I received the next day. What I got didn't so much as qualify as a vague apology. I am still burning from the price tag of this miserable experience.

Three flights of stairs up with bags wasn't fun.shouldn't have to ask for help. Room was small but cozy, bed was comfortable. Bathroom had a very small shower and not enough hooks or counter space. Full sit down breakfast was good, but servers should be more friendly and welcoming.ours was quiet and just doing her job. Considering all of these things, I probably wouldn't stay here again.

Do NOT stay here! Heater didn't work once, A/C the next time, carpets not vacuumed, leaking showers, etc. Last stay was $259 for the night, they say they'll take an extra $100 for security, then they charge my card $536 and it's on hold for days! And they have no explanation as to they did this! Sarah Trimmer, the "innkeeper" is rude and obnoxious too and the front desk guy is really strange and awkward. Overpriced with poor service, avoid.

Booked a room as a last minute decision when camping plans changed. Was pleasantly surprised to find a charming historical place with exceptional hospitality. We had a Hyloft suite. The suite may not fit everyone's needs as it involves a couple flights of stairs, but it's worth it! Stylish furnishings. Very comfortable bed, nice bedding. Loved walking barefoot on good quality wooden floors!

Clean cute bathroom, high end bath products. Keep in mind that this particular suite has a couple of steps between bathroom and the rest. AC works well, anticipating street noise on Friday night was over by 10PM. Great customer service (thank you, Josh), also a few extra hospitality touches with good coffee at the lobby and a glass of port to finish off the evening. Walking distance to the restaurants and downtown. We didn't stay for breakfast, but it's said to be extraordinary.

From the first minute we arrived at the doorstep of the Sayer Mansion, We knew something was not right. The front door was locked nobody was answering the phone, fortunately somebody came by the door her name was Sarah. She did not open the doors or is even though we told her that we had called to get an early check-in because we had a wedding to go to at 3 o'clock.

I spoke to Sherry and Mindy and they both confirmed that we will be able to do this. Her response to us was we don't have check in until 3 o'clock the rooms are not ready and walked away While we waited outside in 90° heat. She didn't even open the front door to let us wait in the cooler inside. A while later she came back and let us in she said one room is ready the other one was not we proceeded to check in and go up to the one room so we could change for the wedding.

The air conditioning was not working it must've been 100° in the room as we change for the wedding and sweated unbelievably. We finally got a fan but that didn't help. We left for the wedding and came back before the reception to see if the air-conditioning was working it was not. This was about 4:30, the other room was ready but the directions my daughter got to go to the other room were insufficient for her to find it.

We moved to another room which was half the size and only one queen bed when we requested two queens We found the room to be dirty ( the carpet especially ) the bathroom had mold and the sheets were full of hair. When we woke up the next morning there was a bug in the bed don't know what kind. We made them aware of it. I will Enclosed some pictures of what I saw in the room and you can make your own decision if you want to stay at this place.

I don't like to post negative reviews it's the last thing I want to ever do. This stay was incredibly uncomfortable and unfortunate. Sherry and Mindy were very helpful as with Josh. I can't say anything about anyone else, I didn't feel anyone else was very helpful at all.

Stayed here overnight for an anniversary, in the sumptuously decorated room 21. Enjoyed a good homemade breakfast, particularly the quiche Lorraine. Wish there was a pot of coffee as opposed to just a cup, and real cream instead of creamer, but it was still a good cup of coffee. Comfy firm bed. Pleasant 30 minute walk to Main St for dinner. Would stay here again. Particularly liked the contact-free check in and check out.

A friend and I stayed here for 2 nights over the 4th of July. We were glad we did. We had a great view of the fireworks as it is up on a hill and we were able to put chairs from the porch on to the lawn to comfortably watch them. It was a bit tricky to find the driveway to drive up to the place but we were able to stop in front to check in and unload luggage.

The parking lot was on the side of the place. The biggest downside of staying there was that there is no elevator and it was tough to get luggage upstairs even with some assistance from the manager who helped hold the suitcase. Once that was past, everything else went well. The room was nice with two comfortable beds, a TV and a wardrobe that had an iron and ironing board in it and hangars.

The bathroom was a bit small with little counter space but there was a table and chair which worked okay. Breakfast was nice as there were many things around the dining room to choose from such as fruit, breads, and yogurt as well as a menu of three options for a cooked breakfast. The breakfast was very good. I had omelets both days and my friend had a waffle or French toast.

Coffee and hot water were available in the hallway all the time which was also nice. There is a nice porch with tables and chairs. It's a pleasant place to stay. I'd stay again.

Would do 4.5 if I could. Stayed 3 nights at the Sayre Mansion a few days after Christmas. All in all an excellent stay. We started in room 21 and then moved to Carriage House 3 due to availability. Room 21 was a very large room with comfortable seating, incredible bed, and nice decor. Carriage House 3 is a spacious suite with equally comfortable seating, a nice touch with a Christmas tree, and a very spacious bathroom.

The whirlpool tub and separate shower a very nice touch. Wu The bed is also really nice. Sayre Mansion has definitely figured out the comfy bed/pillow challenge. The staff was very friendly and we adored Bradford the French Bulldog who adds a whimsical touch. The decor in the breakfast room and common rooms is also very tasty and nice. Some have said t is noisy as it is in a high traffic and it can be. However, in fairness, they do describe themselves as an Urban B&B.

My wife and I walked through shopping areas on both sides of the river and the walk was very manageable. Bethlehem has an emerging Foodie scene and there is no shortage of cool places to try. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is that for me the combination radiator heat and HVAC unit in the Carriage House was a bit challenging for me to get right but not a huge deal. We would definitely return.

We had a private wedding here and we stayed in the observatory room. What a beautiful experience. We had a private ceremony in the living room and beautiful pictures taken on the property and around Bethlehem. We returned to a private catered dinner that was excellent! The observatory was a unique experience. To fall asleep staring at the moon and stars then awakening to the sunrise was awesome.

We were served breakfast in bed. Overall, it was perfect for us and our private ceremony. We loved the staff and the service we received and we can't forget the French Bulldog that greeted us! We loved him too!

I just spent a few days at The Sayre Mansion and I have to say it was absolutely beautiful! The staff was very nice and my room was SO comfortable I loved everything about it (especially the towels & linens) - and their breakfast was probably my favorite part of it all - I especially enjoyed being able to have my coffee on the terrace every morning!

I loved every bit of my stay - thank you for the wonderful hospitality and excellent service! I look forward to staying there again someday. And. my last night there, I learned that they made freshly baked cookies that were stored in a jar in their living room - so I took one to my room as a late night treat - it was delicious!

I stayed for two nights. Was visiting by myself from out of state for a funeral. I booked one of the rooms on the third floor. My connecting flight was seriously delayed and arrival to the hotel was going to be well after midnight. I informed reservations through email and they responded quickly. Upon arrival I was greeted, checked in and shown to my room by a friendly and professional employee.

The temperature was in the 80s and the air conditioning was not working. I had to call down to the front desk and the employee returned and tried to help with the AC. Unable to resolve it I was moved to a similar room down the hall. Both rooms were charming and had plenty of architectural details to admire. The guest room and bathroom were very clean.

Bed was comfortable. Good linens and towels. One morning I had breakfast in the dining room. It was served fresh, hot and delicious. The second morning I grabbed a coffee to go.

A touch of history and a pleasant stay with some modern necessities. Fast wireless internet, flat screen cable TVs, refrigerator, coffee in the room, bottled water dispenser. Loved the semi-formal breakfast and room decor. Their entrance is actually on 3rd street not on Wyandotte. Important since you cannot make a left onto 3rd from Wyandotte. So that takes you over a bridge with no chance of a turn around and it will take 10-minutes to get back to 3rd. Program your GPS accordingly. Visited the Easton State Theater, Bethlehem Steel and ate at Bolete.

My husband and I booked an overnight stay at The Sayre Mansion Inn for a birthday getaway. I can't say enough great things about it! The waiting area was clean and beautifully decorated as soon as you walked in! At check-in we were upgraded to Room 21 as a complete surprise and were blown away at how beautiful and comfortable our room was. Beautiful lighting flowed in through the windows on the right side of our room and the ornate ceiling looked even more beautiful in person.

We went to The Bookstore Speakeasy for dinner which we highly recommend you check out during your stay! Our breakfast the next morning in the dining room was delicious! We had four different options for a hot breakfast as well as muffins, fruit and other assorted treats! Staff was friendly and helpful as well. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be going back!

This is my first bed and breakfast and it was a pretty cool experience. When you get here you check-in with the head of the house and get an actual key. The mansion is absolutely beautiful. The room I got was on the first floor and it had its own patio with chairs and a table which was a nice touch. The next morning I woke up and got my complimentary breakfast which I found out changes everyday and is freshly cooked by the chef.

They had pecan waffles a feta, spinach omelette. I thought what the heck I'll get both. The breakfast was amazing and easily worth $30 for all I ate. Pro: Fair price Clean Impressive breakfast included Cons: Right off a major road I would recommend this B&B

We enjoyed our weekend winter getaway to Bethlehem, and especially loved staying at The Sayre Mansion. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It was 20 degrees the two days we were there and our room always felt cozy and warm. The grounds were beautiful and the mansion charming. We will be back!
