In 1975, he brought the family experience and vision of building the perfect retirement community to Ocala, Florida with the purchase of Circle Square Ranch, a continually working cattle ranch.
The passion for creativity in land development and home building flows in the Colen blood. Kenneth Colen, Sidney's son, never left his side as he grew up in the business and has led On Top of the World Communities since 1981, currently serving as President of all operations.

We have lived in OTOW since 12/16 in the Cresent Ridge II division. There has been several updates to some of the amenities, however the increase in prices have not met the increase in amenities. The cost of playing golf has increased, the HOA has increased by 12% yet the services have not warranted the increase. Considering that since 2017 the building of new houses has been extreme, there seems to have been at least 150 plus new houses, probably more. I would suggest anyone living on a fixed income to look very closely at OTOW, it seem the owners are very greed driven.

We love our new home in On Top Of The World. Our building experience was overall very positive. We did have a few glitches, but worked them out. Living here helps us to continue being active as we get older and gives us the security of being in a safe neighborhood. Our neighbors are great and there is always something to do.

Think we may have found our next home. Loved the place loved the models. Found one we absolutely loved. Price and price on options where a little confusing honestly I think the sales person was new. We are looking to buy in the future so she wasn't all to enthusiastic and I get it. But we are definitely interested. This area is up and coming. Wife's parents are in the villages and I love the whole golf cart community but it's over built to crowded.
Top of the world is much smaller no crowds. The Villages does look nicer with flowers and a maybe more thought on appearance. But the traffic is horrible. This place is worth the look. Just save a place for us
