Really good quality food, if they have the Baked Potato soup when you're here, ABSOLUTELY GET IT! Best dang soup I've ever had in my life, I would buy buckets of it if they'd let me.

Mother's Day.need I say more. This restaurant is very beautiful on the inside, unfortunately we sat out on the plain patio. Although we were happy to be seated. They did great job for being completely packed, both inside and out. We waited for our food a while. When the food arrived, it was great! The service was excellent! Thank you for working the holiday and serving us.

We picked the wrong day to visit for lunch. We visited on Mother's Day. Many people made reservations, we did not. There is seating outside as well as inside, but was too windy for us. We got a table inside after a short wait and after a 30 minute wait, gave our order. We waited an hour for our burgers. They did bring drinks and refills often. The food was good, fries were pretty but soggy. The onion ring batter was tasty but cooked so long the onion was disintegrated. Burger had good flavor. I will try the restaurant again when it's not a major holiday.

After a nice day of wine tasting, we decided to try The Cafe and we were not disappointed! The staff was very friendly and even recommended local wineries to try. Our food came out very delicious that even our visiting family was satisfied! We will definitely return here and let our friends know about this restaurant. Thanks!

We love this place! We come down to Patagonia every year and we always go here at least once. The food is good. They have lots of tasty pasta dishes. I enjoyed my spicy southwest pasta dish and my husband had no trouble putting away his bacon Alfredo pasta with shrimp. No kidding, this is a real thing and it's delish. Bacon AlfredoShrimp Bacon AlfredoThe service is friendly and if you're a beer or wine lover you'll have lots of good options. Our favorite thing is the Thursday evening live music with a local cowboy band. Be sure to reserve a table as it's very popular.

The Cafe in Sonoita has a good chef, consistently good food, lots of selections on the menu, a pretty large wine selection (cheaper on Thursdays when they finish off bottles), live music sometimes, nicely decorated, outdoor dining and nice views. About 40 minute scenic drive from Sierra Vista. We've never paid more than about $80 including wine and tip. You could spend more or you could spend a good bit less. Been going for years and anticipating our next.maybe on our upcoming anniversary. Rick and Peg F.

Lovely Cafe in this small town. Food is quite good, and the music being played is exactly what I'd expect.

Great lunch. We picked up our food here during a winery tour and ate it at one of the local wineries. What a memorable day!

OK. Ususally I try to write more in depth reviews around the places I stop, especially when they are out of the way. But the Cafe is aptly named, and is as non-memorable as they come. I tried the chef's special burger, my counterpart had a salad of some kind (don't remember what it was) and as quickly as we had walked in and sat, we had both forgotten the experience.

Here is what I will stay. Not everything has to be amazing or memorable. Sometimes you just want something to eat, if that is the case the Cafe meets the mark. If you want something more, maybe try somewhere else.

I write this with great sadness. For a few years, I've had such a wonderful experience at The Cafe. Today that all changed. Sadly, it was when my sister and family were along with me after driving 1,600 miles one way to visit. I ordered a burger and fries as usual, but this time the bun was black on top and bottom and the burger was tough and well-done, not medium-rare as I asked for. Unfortunately, our waiter never came back to the table after delivering the food.

I finally hobbled up to the counter (I'm a disabled vet) to find someone who could help and pay for our meal. I explained what happened, and the waiter said he was sorry, but nothing else. And then the trouble really started. There was a younger guy leaning on the bar chatting it up with a young, tatted blonde and looked irritated that I even said anything.

He explained that there was a problem with the griddle and he had 12 burgers on at a time. (There were four other people in the restaurant.) I said okay and waited for him to say they'd at least give me a discount for a burnt burger and bun. Nope. I said, "So, I'm stuck paying full price for a burnt burger?" The guy who had explained about the griddle had gone back to hitting on the blonde, so he was even more irritated at my interruption.

He sighed, looked at me, and then shrugged his shoulders and said, "You don't have to come back again." I was shocked and didn't know what to say. I told him where to go and walked back to my table. As soon as I turned around and started limping back to my table, he started laughing at me! And then, after we left, he followed us outside, pointed at us, and laughed even more. I've never felt so humiliated in my life.

I love finding a good place to eat when traveling. We were on our way back from Patagonia and were starving. This place isn't have a long line so we went in and were served immediately. Husband ordered the pastrami on rye, I got a cheeseburger. Fries ok, but everything else was great. No pics, sorry, too busy eating.

Super comforting, simple and yummy food! My husband had an emotional flashback with the Apple pie, lol. He said it tasted just like how his grandma used to make it and proceeded to ask if he could buy a whole pie.

We had a wonderful experience at The Cafe. We came in not knowing it was their closing time. They graciously seated us anyway and we had the best dinner. The food was wonderful. The service was amazing. We highly recommend the cheesecake and we will definitely be back.

Fantastic all around! My mother and I came in and I was having an awful day. I was worried about the bread not actually being gluten free, as it wasn't mentioned on the menu, but the waitresses assured me multiple times that it was, and gave me all the information I asked for. I cannot stress how much I needed that level kindness that day, and to top it off, the food was fantastic.

The restaurant was very clean, the entire staff was singing in the back (we were the only customers for a bit), and it was an extremely comfortable environment. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Y'all, say your prayers before you eat from here! If 0 stars were a choice, that's what I'd give this diner. Sooo many flies, inattentive service, and unclean place to eat! The girl there wipes the chairs before wiping the tables, menu, and condiments with the same wet bucket towel! I guess that's one way to build up your immune system.

I always order the black and blue salad. The steak was tough which was a huge bummer, I couldn't eat it at all so I just had salad. I know, so why the 4 stars? THE FRIES AND ONION RINGS ARE TO DIE FOR! Had it not been for that you know I would have left a very low star review. I'm not suppose to have red meat anyways so other then paying for it they did me a favor

On a beautifully cloudy, monsoon wknd with Tucson attractions largely hibernating from the July heat/humidity we opted to explore Sonoita's wine country. Wine tasting shouldn't be done on an empty stomach so the first planned stop was The Cafe. I guess as in THE Cafe, Lol. And it lives up to its namesake. We ordered everything listed on the Special-of-the-Day menu which included a grass-fed burger with brie and bacon and a blue-cheese and tomato bisque soup.

We got an extra side of sweet potato fries. All portions were decently sized (see pic of burger/soup) and more than filled us up with the requisite protein and complex carbs to sustain us for an afternoon of wine tasting. Service was excellent and attentive. TIP: if you're splitting an entree they will charge $2 to cut it in half and merely bring an extra plate or they'll charge a whopping $5 extra to formally divide the meal and place them on two separate plates before bringing them out to the table.

We opted to have neither done and simply shared all of our entrees and sides from the plates they came on (and were charged $0 :) Parking is ample but it's a dirt/gravel lot which can get muddy during monsoons. And they close AT 2pm!

Delish! We have eaten lunch there and had a perfect BLT. This time we went for dinner - the bacon Alfredo is creamy perfection! The big chunks of bacon in the perfectly smooth Alfredo sauce with sun-dried tomatoes tossed with pasta - wow! We added some grilled chicken - yummmm! We also had the catfish and chips. The breading was so light and yummy!

The fries were hot and perfect. Even the cole slaw, which is not usually a star of the plate, was so delicious we ate all of it. And for dessert? We went with the mixed berry cheesecake with mixed berry puree. It was so good we tried to get the server to make it all you could eat! Lol! Everything here is always so good.

I love this place! I work in the Sonoita, Arizona area and many times a month The Cafe is where I get my dinner (work lunch). Adam is always putting out top notch specials and amazing mainstays. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff are extremely courteous, and everything on the menu is delicious. Like local wines? Check out The Cafe. Want a dose of southern Arizona hospitality? Check out The Cafe. Ever wondered what an APE burger is? Check out The Cafe.

Great lunch spot we stopped at in-between visiting the wineries nearby! Good service, nice patio area. We waited to stop here for lunch until mid-afternoon on the Sunday we visited because it looked very busy when we first drove by during the lunch hour. Glad we waited so that we didn't feel rushed to leave. Would love to stop here again the next time we visit.

This little spot off the highway in Sonoita is a favorite. The food is high quality, made with tender loving care. They have an excellent local wine selection and a wonderful beer menu. Right now they have live music on Thursday and Friday nights, 5 to 7. Highly recommended!

Great atmosphere, great location. But. during lunch they were short staffed (15-20min just to order), I felt bad for the staff, especially the busser. she had to do coffee, payments, clean tables, bring menus, bring drinks for the entire outside and inside area. I took one star off because of the poor treatment to the staff. Food was good, no where near exceptional, slightly overpriced, basic. Maybe dinner is a different experience. But this experience was disappointing.

The Cafe in Sonoita, Arizona is one of the Housholder Family Saunterers' favorite places to chow down after a long day out on the Arizona Trail. This place is really "Phat!" To start with, Bryce and I had the "Ape Burger" which changes each day. A half pound of beef cooked to order with Calamari Onion Rings, Coctail Sauce and Bacon loaded with Sweet Potato Fry's. Karolien enjoyed her Reuben with Homemade Broccoli & Gouda Cheese Soup. Ben scarfed down a giant piled high Grilled Green Chili Cheeseburger and Bianka ate up her kids's menu Grilled Cheese!

After we were half way done scarfing down our eats the kids asked if we could come back here tomorrow! Super Thanks for the never ending water pitcher at our table we were super thirsty after a long hiking day! We will be back as we segment hike the AZT south of Kentucky Camp!

Tons of great reviews for The Cafe unfortunately our experience wasn't that great. Pros- friendly, prompt service, awesome selection of wine from the local wineries. Cons- ordered an eggplant parmesan which was ONE thin slice of eggplant over pasta. Hubs ordered a pasta dish and was just ok. Portions could have been bigger as we both left ready for a snack. Dinner prices are $12-20, for what the food was we felt like we overpaid. After reading other reviews sounds like lunch service and sandwiches are the way to go.
