I love little stores like this - you find interesting food items hidden everywhere. I went in looking for a salad and came out with Finnish caraway seed multigrain crackers - yum! They had a great selection of fresh salads. I bought the salmon garden salad and the piece of salmon was seriously huge and delicious. I was a bit disappointed with their soup selection - two chili soups that had loads of sugar (props to them for having that nutritional info available).

Some items did seem a bit overpriced, like the seltzer water was much more than a normal grocery store but overall I appreciated the great variety and fresh items. If I lived closer I'd stop in all the time for that salmon salad.

Ordered food for my rehearsal dinner (pre-pandemic) here; as always, it was excellent. It's also a great place to grab dinner if you have a rehearsal or concert at Sanders Theater.

Used to like this place back in 2019. Recently it has become a place to avoid. First I was yelled for using a plastic bag, then they messed up my order. People work here is rude and careless, wonder how much they're underpaid and overworked

While my boyfriend is opening the door for me, an employee rips the doors out of his hands. And locks it without any reason as to why and walked away. I'm assuming the General Manager saw came out and said we close early today.:. The employees suck here I won't bother coming back.

I checked out this marketplace as I was in the area. They carry a lot of items compared to your regular target. I really like their spice and dessert selection. It's a little overpriced compared to the regular stores, but the variety makes it worth it!

Convenient neighborhood market with a nice selection of almost anything you might need. They have a surprisingly good selection of wine and beer in the back. We picked up an Austrian Blaufrankish for just $10.99, which was very good, plus a Barbera. Til next time!

This market has the best salads to go. I love their garden salad and I usually pick up some fruit, water, and dessert too. I look forward to going there because they always have good foods and a variety high quality items. I occasionally pick up flowers there and they also make me happy. They have a parking lot across the street which makes it easy to stop there on my way to work.

The checkers are nice and I know they hire kids from the high school. One of my favorite students that I tutored worked there the summer before going to college. She's a super awesome person so that's another reason why I like this market. They contribute to the neighborhood.

I went in to buy a cake and some wine for my friend's birthday because Broadway has great prices for their cakes. My cashier, Nabiet B. according to my receipt, was super helpful with putting rubber bands around the cake so the cover wouldn't pop off and was great about helping me figure out how to bag it with the wine so it would fit into one bag. She was really friendly and reminded me of why I love shopping here :

I recently bought a caprese salad for lunch and on the surface it looked fine. Expiration date said it was fine for about a week and the everything you could see from the outside looking in was good. However in-between and underneath the tomatoes, cheese and fresh arugula was just wilted and old arugula. I didn't notice the change in quality until I got past the surface layer and tasted the disgusting old arugula and then nearly threw up. I used to love grabbing lunch at Broadway before the pandemic but this is just awful now.

I did not want to leave this review, because I know times are hard during the pandemic and the staff are quite nice, but I have simply had too many occasions of buying or seeing items past their expiration date. I once bought mascarpone that was expired, and today while shopping I saw a whole stack of expired yogurt, and expired tortilla chips. When shopping here, you should check the date on every item before putting it in your cart. I hope the management can address this problem.

A neighborhood marketplace with a nice array of groceries, to-go food, and alcohol. Their recommended wines are often affordable and always on the mark.

Recently bought a box of chicken, beef, and rice from their lunch bar. Everything was okay, but I wish they could let customers put their meals in their box with gloves on (like Wholdfoods). With the staff constantly asking what I need, I didn't have time to choose what I wanted as I was pressured to choose the items quickly.

Ordered food from them, despite their high prices, to try to support a local business during the pandemic. They canceled the milk from our order--the one thing we truly needed, for our young child--without calling or letting us know.

I only added a second star because the manger was so courteous. The grilled salmon was ancient, the smell and taste repugnant and according to the 'sell by' date it still had five days to go! And some of the salad was wilted. The shelves had no dark balsamic vinegar. Fine for liquor shopping. Convenient location.

The women that answer the phone are extremely rude and unprofessional. As the first person a customer talks to, such discourteous people are bad for business.

Here is an update two years in the making yes it's been over two years since I've came here meanly cause I felt like the owners responds to my review was degrading. But I've given them another chance and boy am I glad that I did. I can honestly say one of the best BLT ever just add some cheese and you will not be disappointed. Thanks Broadway Marketplace I'll be back for sure now.

They have a decent selection for the size, which is pretty small. The produce tends to be fresh. They sometimes have bad service. In particular, a staff member checking me out was extremely rude after I removed my credit card too early, telling me I was not paying attention, didn't listen to her, didn't watch for the blinking light, didn't watch for why her hand was covering the credit card slide slot, on and on, all just for pulling my card out too soon.

This review is for the liquor section back in the store in particular. The place is located on my way to work so I come here fairly often for the past ten years when I do not have time to go to the grocery store. The staff of the grocery section have always been very nice and friendly. During my recent visit, however, the staff in the liquor section was extremely rude.

What is worse, he treats customers very differently potentially based on their looks. Quite frankly I still feel shocked and a bit disgusted, so likely I will not come again.

I come in here sometimes to grab a couple things because it's convenient to my apartment. It has a bathroom, which the Starbucks nextdoor doesn't! It has a decent little salad and hot bar, prepared food items, and similar items, which is nice if you're looking for something quick and easy. But this place is definitely not cheap! You're paying for the convenience.

Review #1016 I have always wanted to check out this marketplace since it is practically located at the heart of Harvard square area. I expected high prices because, for these places, you are essentially paying for its rent. (I have seen expensive price tags in NYC so nothing really shocks me anymore.) I do like the wide variety of grocery options and liquor selections here.

The grocery items did seem pretty fresh. Well it is pricey, I don't mind paying for the convenience. This will not be my go-to grocery shop, but I am sure I will be back at some point. At checkout, I thought I could get a discount with Harvard ID, but the cashiers told me the discount is only offered on the weekends. I then tried to use the Yelp check-in offer for 10% off but was told they no longer accept Yelp check-in offers. Other Yelpers should know about this!

Extremely expensive. I would go here but prices are DOUBLE most groceries store. E.g. $5 for 12 eggs ($2.50 at TJs), $8 for Greek Yogurt ($4 at TJs).

I started working in the Harvard Square area last year and this has been my go to spot for lunch. It's just out of the area of the busy Harvard Square. They have a great selection of lunch items: salad bar, cold/hot bars, sushi, as well as ready to go sandwiches. They also make fresh sandwiches behind the counter. I usually go for the Chicken Caesar Wrap with Lemon Chicken. Delish!

They also have yummy baked goods as well. I love their Sugar Cookie. Prices are a little high, but to be expected in the area. But in return you get great quality food! The folks behind the counter are always friendly and quick making the sandwiches. Glad I have a place like this so close to work.

I am a big fan of Broadway Marketplace. I live a few blocks away and walk by every day on my way home from work. I probably stop in 3x a week to grab a case of beer, some veggies for dinner, a prepared meal, or a bagel for the next morning's breakfast. Some reviews say it is overpriced, but I really don't think you can beat the value, especially in the Harvard Square area.

My favorite by far is Sushi Wednesdays. Almost every Wednesday morning I stop in for $5 sushi- usually hand made in front of me and super fresh. A great, and cheap work lunch! On my first visit to Broadway, I went in the back area to explore the liquor store. The manager immediately got up to greet me and ask what I was looking for. He even engaged me by asking me where I was from, since my shirt said "Alaska" on it.

I told him I was a recent college grad and was looking for a deal. He immediately walked me to a $18 case of Rolling Rock rather than trying to get me to buy something more expensive. That's exactly the customer experience I look for, and a lot of the reason why I am giving a 5-star review. Overall, I love Broadway Marketplace and will continue to shop there on a regular basis. Keep up the good work!

Right next to a Starbucks so it's a good double stop. Harvard and MIT students get 10% off which helps with them being 30% overpriced! Convenient off street parking.
