Boomerangs Original Ribs

Really good hush puppies, and they might have the best pulled pork sandwich I've ever had. I usually drench my sandwich in BBQ, but this one didn't need it. Meat spoke for itself!

I have been here several times in the weekend for breakfast. Get here early before church gets out because it gets really busy. I've had the Island, the Solomon, the commissioner all were perfect. Once I've stopped for dinner and got the steak. To be honest it tasted like a steak cooked on a stove with Montreal steak seasoning barely on it I was suprised at outs toughness and lack of flavor given how all my other experiences have been. Waitress are nice and fast.

Im going through a hard time with my mom, and after scowering the area for a "last meal" type of situation, and after speaking with the cook, Lou, I've been blessed through their kindness and hospitality to serve. The facility is clean and welcoming, staff is courteous and understanding, treating me as if I was long lost family. Thank you so much, God bless!

We took the family for breakfast, everything was absolutely delicious! It was a lot of food and reasonably priced. We will definitely do it again. And Lou was an awesome waiter and a great cook.

I ordered the haddock basket, hush puppies and a margarita. The haddock was cooked to a good temperature, but the seasoning was non existent. Same for the fries. The fryer oil needs changed as the food had a funky aftertaste. Fries were not seasoned at all. The margarita was alright, a little on the salty side. Straw for the drink was flimsy and cheap to the point of it being broken after one sip. Was it worth $65? I can't say that it was. The service itself was over the top, so the staff were a non-issue.

I was really surprised that they served us dry/burned BBQ ribs (their "specialty"). Even the sides couldn't save the meal as they were served in tiny thimbles. I could not more strongly recommend going down to the Pier, the Lighthouse, or one of the other nicer restaurants on the "island". This is clearly a locals only spot and likely serves them well. I just wouldn't recommend for those from out of town.

First time eating here and I was not sure what to expect looking from the outside. I walked into a very nicely taken care of dining area which was fairly spaced out[a huge plus for veterans and law enforcm]. I ordered and within 10-15 minutes I got my entree. The crab dip is pretty good but make sure you ask for more old bay, the rotisserie half chicken is really good especially with BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.

The fried shrimp was good and not fried to a burnt crisp [seasoning is light]. The waitress was super friendly and attentive, which is a huge part of eating out. The coleslaw was a little to watery though. Overall a great restaurant and recommended!

It was really clean inside and the food was really good. White meat on the chicken was a bit dry but all in all a good meal. I will definitely be back. There service was fast and friendly as well.

I had visited Boomerangs one evening after my stepson's chorus performance at the local high school, a little too close to closing than I would have liked, and I was stunned by the friendliness and service provided by the staff that were patient with our late arrival and treated us as though we had arrived during the early evening. Our server was attentive and enthusiastic in making recommendations on menu options, including off-menu options, leading to my stepson being able to order a root beer float, much to his excitement.

I found the food tasty, but humble. Boomerangs gives the comfort of eating something that feels home-cooked and hearty in a small and cozy dining area that is so typical of Southern Maryland, and all at reasonable prices. Boomerangs is something of an understated jewel in the crown of Solomons that deserves every attention afforded to the restaurants on the pier.

Love this restaurant! And they are now serving breakfast! Good home style cooking!
