I have had the pleasure of using the Abbey Catering now for over 10 years. A few times over the years we have tested other caterers. We always come back to Abbey. Prices are fair, the food is amazing and the staff are now our good friends. We highly recommend Abbey Catering.

Customer Testimonials

The Abbey Catering was a discovery that made the whole decision to have a "traditional" wedding worth it. From the initial consultation to being on top of the details shutting down the party, our experience with The Abbey Catering was beyond belief. Every vendor they suggested came through. The vendor coordination was seamless - everybody was professional and delivered an experience that made our wedding perfect. I honestly thought there would be good and bad, and positives and negatives, and when looking back the day after, and now a couple of weeks later, I can honestly say that The Abbey Catering couldn't have done a better job in any area that they handled. Additionally, with anything else in life, you get what you pay for, and their value is evident; The Abbey Catering delivered the experience, but they also delivered it at a cost that was reasonable. Our coordinator, Chuck, handled every aspect of the wedding with apparent ease, and we came to rely on his guidance and control knowing that he had our best interests, and the best interests of our guests at the forefront of his efforts. If you miss out on hiring them to run your event, you missed an opportunity to have the best people working to make your event everything you dreamed it would be. Additionally, you'll miss out on their professional, attentive staff, the chef's incredible food, and the peace of mind that comes with knowing that you spent the money in the right way!

The Abbey organized our wedding at the Darlington House earlier this month and they did an AMAZING job. My husband and I are very unorganized and forgetful people, and we were terrified about planning a wedding while simultaneously graduating and moving out of state. Our coordinator, Petr, saved the day. He was on top of everything and so encouraging. He was truly fantastic- I can't imagine that another catering company could have pulled off a more beautiful wedding. Furthermore, we did the "all inclusive" package and the vendors that partner with the Abbey are also INCREDIBLE. The Abbey did all the communicating between them for us, making our lives a lot easier. The final product was phenomenal.

We got married at the La Jolla Woman's Club in August and Abbey Catering catered our beautiful, delicious dinner! We had a fusion Indian and American wedding, so we wanted the food to be fusion too. We chose 4 tray passed appetizers - chicken and waffles (so yummy!), sweet potato samosas (delicious and different from the usual boring samosas), bruschetta and my favorite - chicken sliders! Our dinner was more Indian, and they pulled this off very well!
To me, how the food looks is almost as important as it tastes, and the Abbey seems to really believe this too! I am so sad that we didn't get any pictures of the food, but I hope the catering team took some!
And now about the team. I think a lot of the reason I give The Abbey 5 stars is Jack and Petr. Jack was our first introduction to the Abbey, we were inquiring about the Cuvier Club, and he told us that they are primarily caters, and went out of his way to show us other venues too! This was just above and beyond his duties! Jack was great at figuring out a menu that would work for us, and also a price. He was always responsive to emails, and always cheerful and easy to talk to. I'm so glad that he worked with us throughout the planning!
Petr was assigned to us as our event captain, and he is amazing! He was always energetic, knew exactly what he was doing and managed the food perfectly. He is so thoughtful that he gave us a to-go bag after the wedding because we hadn't really had much chance to eat! I
am so glad that he was so easy to work with, and especially that he got along so well with the venue manager and our wedding coordinator.
Overall, I highly recommend the Abbey Catering for your wedding!
