Reliably good, reasonably priced (cold and hot) sandwiches, soups, and salads including leafy greens and pasta salads. Friendly and efficient service, too. The combos are a nice deal - I like getting a soup + salad or soup + sandwich. They also cater my office's meetings quite often; they can cater both breakfast (pastries and breakfast sandwiches, plus coffee) and lunch (mostly sandwiches for us). Some of my coworkers have said some of their catered sandwiches a bit boring after a while, so you may consider specifically requesting the types of sandwiches you prefer.

Great little shop, been around forever, hard to know about from street, tucked away cheap espresso great sandwiches and salad. Friendly folks, can't miss if you want a reliable, non-corporate sandwich.

Very disappointed. For lunch I decided to order the breakfast croissant with egg, ham and bacon. I return to my office only to find out they screwed up my order! They made it with egg, ham and CHEESE! So glad I looked at it before digging right in to eat it considering I was very hungry. Luckily, I work nearby and went back and told the female worker what my order was and told her there's CHEESE in it and I didnt order it with that.

She did not apologize about their error when she took it from me and told the kitchen staff what was supposed to be in it. It could have been a worse outcome IF I had a food allergy on cheese! Upon getting my corrected food, she did apologize but it wasnt even sincere and it sounded mumbled like she didn't really want to say it. The kitchen staff NEEDS to pay more attention to the orders they make.

What if the customer can't come back to get it corrected since they are their lunch break? They needed to be held accountable for making the orders correctly. Does your staff not realize how much of an inconvenience it is to come back to your establishment to get it corrected when they can't get it right the first time? Just to let you know this is not the first time my order has been screwed up!

I am not sure why I go back. I've never been happy, but this time I was actually unhappy. Got the "special of the week" - the chicken and avocado sandwich. Think they are just trying to get rid of the chicken-flavored styrofoam. So dry, no mayo, no mustard, no cheese, no cup of water to wash it down. I ordered "extra lettuce" and thought that since I was charged extra they would hook it up.nope, only meant an extra large leaf b/c still only 1 leaf.

This bread is worse than the stuff you give to lil kids to feed the fish. It was falling apart b/c was so dry.but luckily i had my extra large lettuce! Shining 1-star in the sandwich.the avocado. Next time I'm looking for a quick sandwich, just going to Subway right outside 1132 Bishop. Bumbai I learn.

Great solution for downtown Honolulu catering. One of the few who will deliver to your location. Great selection, both comfort foods and healthier options. I highly recommend the sandwich platters. For individual dining, their breakfast butter croissant sandwiches are easily the best I've found in the downtown area. The only tiny grumble might be their hours are only a little short at 7am to 2:30ish pm. I'd love to pop in for an early breakfast, or be able to grab dinner from this place to take home after work.

Good sandwiches at good prices. They do salads too but I haven't tried them. I've used them to cater lunches downtown too and they're really good with delivery and setting everything up for you. They cater breakfast and lunch stuff and you can do boxes or platters.

I used to LOVE this place when I worked in Downtown but when I went there this morning, they couldn't make what I asked for (croissant w/ spinach & egg). Also, I asked for soy milk instead of regular milk for the cuppacino(?spelling); I don't think I was given soy milk cuz my stomach is upset now (hence, the need for "milk" replacement, as my tummy doesn't do well w/ dairy).

The server (tho nice & polite)didn't seem to know what I was asking---neither the server nor barista seemed to care about "customer service".What happened to the nice Asian lady who used to help me? She anticipated what customers wanted & did great "suggestive selling".making people WANT to buy more & give generous tips. I gave a decent tip, even tho the server & barista didn't seem to care or notice!

2 stars for the Turkey Cranberry Sandwich. -3 for the bad customer service. They're very slow. I waited for them to take my order longer than it took them to make my sandwich. Why? Because the 2 ladies in the front was talking story with the customer in front of me as if they couldn't see people waiting. RUDE. Mind you this is the business district and people got places to be. They could be great if they improve their customer service and cleanliness of the store front.

I was in the downtown area trying to get my driver's license renewal but denied (no walk ins today :( even though they didn't seem that busy). I was on my way back to Walmart to buy my $20+ worth of merchandise to qualify for free parking when I just happened to pass by 1132 Cafe's pop up kiosk on Fort Street Mall. Boy was I in for a tasty treat.

I gravitate toward healthy food so I couldn't resist buying a sandwich, pasta and salad. The prices are very reasonable and the service fast and friendly. The chicken walnut sandwich on whole wheat bread was absolutely delicious. I wish I bought chips to eat it with. The ham & feta cheese pasta was perfectly seasoned, fresh and among the best I've had.

The papaya & avocado salad was ok. I wish they used healthier lettuce and better tasting dressing. The portions were plentiful and very fresh. I'll definitely buy from them again when I'm in the area.

I do a lot of training, and for those all day events, we provide lunch to our customers. This place always delivers, even when we're in Waipahu. We use them every time and never once has there been a complaint or issue raised from our trainees about the lunch we provide from 1132 cafe. My favorite is the chicken walnut salad. Although I've never been to the physical location, the delivery person is always kind, sets out an organized the lunches while I keep teaching, and shows professional courtesy. Thanks for making catered lunch hassle free!

1132 Cafe & Catering is located (surprise!) in the 1132 Bishop Street building between Fort Street Mall and Bishop Street/Union Mall in downtown Honolulu. It is on the bottom floor of an office building and offers reasonably-priced sandwiches, soups and salads. The food probably isn't worth going out of your way for but they have a nice variety of food and some seating reserved for 1132 patrons.

I notice that when the weather is wet, they tend to be busier. I've eaten here several times and the food is consistent. If you are in downtown Honolulu and craving a pastrami sandwich or a Caesar salad, this is your place!

Thanks to Stefan and his company for supporting the Chamber of Commerce FocusOn Marketing seminar with morning refreshments. The location was also convenient for a quick morning snack in the old FHB/Kress building before attending my morning meeting.

I ordered a kalua pork and swiss sandwich on rye. It was a pretty good sandwich, but I'm seriously lucky I didn't end up at the dentist with a $10,000 bill. There were bones in my kalua pork! Sharp, small bones about an inch long. How does that even happen? Eat here at your own risk.

All the reviews about the rude lady in the front are true. I had a vegetarian friend that came here and asked about altering a sandwich and she was extremely loud, rude, demanding, "WHAT DO YOU WANT!?" so bad i never came back despite working in the next building. one day i go in to see my favorite korean spot is closed. so i try again. nice young lady takes my order and i see the rude lady arranging things on the counter behind her, she whip around to look at me. she smiles and i smile back (does she recognize me?

I recognize her). Maybe they learned their lesson and let the girls handle the customers and rude lady just gives and receives orders from the kitchen. i hear them ask the back for my sandwich and someone comes with a bag and they yell out exactly my order. i ask in a surprised tone if that was mine cause I just ordered, and the rude lady says "HA how can that be yours YOU JUST ORDER! HAHAHA" with her back still turned to me.

Not a "teasing" type of way that I get with aunties and uncles in Chinatown, but a RUDE RUDE RUDE mocking way, like she's talking to HERSELF as she's facing the wall but meaning for me to hear it. Now this is probably an instance where they cant find anyone to replace this lady that's probably been working there her whole life/ can't fire her, shop probably still does well based on location convince, and I get it.

Some people probably think it's funny (angry korean lady or soup nazi style) but it's a damn shame with such a central downtown location she can't just keep her thoughts to herself and I won't be bringing myself, or my company here. Why can't they just let the nice young ladies work the front and stop offending everyone - given by the many many 1 star reviews I see here.

I give two, only cause of the location. But tbh, like Cynthia N., her rudeness made me lose my appetite and I haven't taken a bite of what I ordered. ----- Guide to my reviews - 5 = above and beyond what's expected, 4 = Perfect service, 3 = OK service nothing special nothing bad, 2= something was bad, 1= I'm offended

The chicken salad sandwich is unremarkable but decent. I don't really understand why they give you a mayo pack with it since chicken salad is like half mayo already right?

The pesto chicken is okay without the cheese. the clam chowder taste very gelatinous. like a can soup reduction.

I came here to try a chicken ceasar salad. What I got was under dressed salad! This is how she made it. She grabbed the salad bowl (with some lettuce and dressing left over from the last salad she made). She grabbed more lettuce, added it into the bowl. Pretended to mix it.and then put it in the box. Add chicken on top, added crutons, and added two tiny drops of dressing.

Now can you see how it ended up being a tasteless and less than mediocre salad? Next time I'll skip this option and opt to spend more money for a salad if I want something more decent. Would definitely not return to eat a salad with a lack of dressing.

I needed continental breakfast for 100 people. I sought quotes from 3 vendors. One declined my request (too busy), one vendor promised a quote but never sent it and 1132 Cafe responded within 24 hours of my request. Price included delivery! The Good Morning Platter was priced just right, tasty and fresh. Service was efficient and helpful. Thank you Stefan & staff!

I ordered the soup (split pea that day) and sandwich special; a cup of soup and a half sandwich. The half sandwich was the size of a standard sandwich! Turkey, avocado, lettuce and tomato in generous portions on their artisan bread made me smile. The warm soup really rounded out the meal.

Catch them at the downtown Farmers' Market-- Do NOT go to their brick & mortar Bishop Street location. The counter wench is extremely rude. She talked to me as though I was an idiot. (It was my 1st time here and I had questions about the menu; I was ordering for myself and another person. No line behind me until much later.) It was so bad, I asked her about her day, and she told me she had been busy since 8am. (It's funny I thought no one eats there, just at the Farmers' Market location.) And she was rude again when my order was ready and I wanted to make sure everything I ordered was inside the bag. Bottom line: I don't feel my business is valued here. Her rudeness even affected the taste of my soup and sandwich. I will not be coming back.

Mission this morning: find breakfast that's healthy or somewhat healthy quick and easy close to my job no rice or bacon.or sausage.or spam.sigh. Enter 1132 cafe and espresso bar. Located in the former First Hawaiian Bank Building near HPU this little cafe has exactly what I was looking for. The bagels are fresh and coffee black and strong. You can even get your bagels toasted with cream cheese if you'd like. Only come here for their bagels so I can't comment too much on their other items but must come back and try their sandwiches.

Today is the second time that I've placed a small Lehua sandwich order for my staff meeting from 1132 CC. On both occasion, they have not disappointed me and my staff haveen been really happy with their sandwiches, salads, and cookies. For a delivery of just 6 sandwich boxes they charged me only $5. They arrived on time and just left the invoice for me to pay later. Wow!

That kind of service & trust is not heard of today. And what gets me is that I'm not even a regular customer to earn that kind of trust. Maybe it is the name & reputation of our company. But still, I ordered as an individual. So I walked on over to take care of my bill and they were so pleasant thanking me for the business. They certainly won me over as a regular customer who will gladly pass on some good ravs about them/their food.

Not sure why this place has such low ratings. I interned in the building this past summer and frequently came here for breakfast and lunch. My usuals were salmon and cream cheese on a toasted everything bagel, turkey and cranberry sandwich with brie, turkey and avocado, corn chowder, and of course their breakfast sandwich (ham egg and cheese on a warm buttery croissant.

All of these were always good when I ordered it and their coffee is pretty good too. The salmon and cream cheese is one of my favorites because they don't skimp out on the salmon (like some places)

I couldn't remember if I wrote this review yet so I had to look through my previous posts. I kept thinking about this place and what I would say. With the recommendation of a good friend, I ordered the Ham and Apple sandwich on sourdough. I got the full sandwich and he got the half sandwich and a side of fruit. They're the same price but wow, they both looked like full sandwiches to us!

The sourdough was toasted and the cuts of ham were thick and substantial. They definitely don't use the cheapo deli meat, but cuts that are a bit thicker and tastier. They also put in 1 or 2 small pieces of green apple. The apple was a nice complement to the flavor but I would have liked a little bigger pieces. There was also a piece of cheese (not sure what type but it was melted and delicious).

My fiancee works in the same building and says their base sandwiches aren't that great (ham and cheese, etc.) but if you're going to eat here, get a specialty sandwich. Next time I go, I'll get the half sandwich (*cough* which is actually a full sandwich *cough*) and the side of fruit for $7.

A convenient place in downtown, I usually pass this place because I wasn't too interested in pizza or sandwiches, but a friend decided to treat me there for lunch to try it out, and I found that they also sell hot lunch plates, salads and dessert also: Hot sweet sour chicken plate - 3 stars - For about $8, the chicken was tasty, but they gave me more bone than meat, the eggplant salad was nice and sweet, and the curry rice was ok. However, for a hot item, the food was a little cold. Penne chicken pasta - 3 stars - I only had a taste of my friend's pasta, and it was pretty good, but didn't look like they gave that much for the price.

Service - service was ok, and it wasn't crowded so it was nice and quiet to sit with a friend and enjoy the meal, except for the man who later sat next to our table and started reading out loud to himself. I think I have to try this place again to buy food myself to give it an accurate rating.
